Former FUTO SUG president. That's part of the hustle. As for the catchphrase,Warri rapper Erigga said he actually brought out the phrase but Efe has popularised it. |
I had to wiki it "Each of the nine constituent regions of the Seven Kingdoms have bastard surnames decreed by custom, not law. Bastards with a high-born parent are given these surnames to hold them apart from their parent's houses. The parents may give a bastard a different surname if they wish, e.g Tyrion Tanner , or no name at all. Bastard children of two people of the smallfolk are not given a distinctive surname. A bastard might also chose a surname for himself. Daemon Waters took the surname Blackfyre at the age of twelve, after having been knighted and having received lands and the Valyrian steel sword of the same name from his father, King Aegon IV Targaryen. The surname a bastard received appears to be connected to the location the child is raised, though this is not a consistent rule. Because of this, bastards who are half-siblings might have different surnames. For example, King Robert I Baratheon 's eldest bastard, born and raised in the Vale, is called Mya Stone, while his bastard from the stormlands (fathered on a noblewoman from the Reach ) is called Edric Storm. However, whilst Aegor Rivers was raised at Stone Hedge in the riverlands , his half-brother Brynden was also called Rivers , despite having lived at least the first few years of his life with his mother at King's Landing in the crownlands . Prince Oberyn Martell's eight bastard daughters all have the surname Sand, even though the eldest, Obara , lived in Oldtown in the Reach during the earlier years of her life, and her sister Nymeria was born in Volantis, across the narrow sea." http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Bastardy Turns out Jon can always be Jon Snow. |
Gbola5:You've voiced my exact thoughts.Varys won't care to reveal, even if he did he doesn't have enough reputation to force Jon on the Westerosi especially when he has his own candidate(s)/agenda.I feel Jon has no interest in any other thing but 'the Great War' if he is indifferent when his true parentage is revealed to him I thought Targ bastards differ from Crownlands bastards.Damn Dæmon BlackFyre for misleading me.This bastard surname customs is kinda complex. |
HBO just released the teaser for S07. Queen Dany at Dragonstone.Queen Cersei on the Iron Throne.King Jon (when will I get used to this new title) at Winterfell. Why can't tomorrow be July 16th? https://mobile.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10154620367917734&id=74133697733&refid=17&_ft_=top_level_post_id.10154620367917734%3Atl_objid.10154620367917734%3Athid.74133697733%3A306061129499414%3A54%3A0%3A1491029999%3A8533485477585572900&__tn__=C |
Gbola5:Bran is the rightful Lord of Winterfell so of course his testimony should be respected. However, this is Westeros we are talking about-cripples,bastards and broken things are not respected no matter their family status except they make a name for themselves (e.g Jon,Tyrion,Ramsay,SweetRobin). What I'm tryna say is that, before any Lord will listen to Bran he has to have more reputation than being an extension of a weirwood tree. Am not sure what you mean by the Fyre stuff. But Jon is actually a Targ bastard not a Stark bastard which makes him Jon Fyre not Jon Snow (Btw,Jon Snow sounds better). It'll be interesting though to see how Jon's true parentage will be publicly revealed both on the show and in the books. |
BraniacX:I agree with you,Varys seems like the only person in Westeros who can confirm Rhægar married Lyanna.Even at that I don't think when left to choice, the Westerosi will have a harder time picking a bastard than a true Targ especially one with three dragons (OMG,I'm starting to sound like Littlefinger). But sometimes I kinda feel sorry for Jon.Whether as a Fyre or a Snow,he's still a bastard .At least, he's not a bastard Frey. |
Have you guys seen this 'Purely Show Theory' that Cersei is Gendry's mother? http://winteriscoming.net/2017/03/04/speculation-cersei-lannister-gendrys-real-mother/ Trust me,it's not as crazy as it first sounds Cersei (to Catelyn Stark,s01) : ''I lost my first child, a dark haired beauty. They took him away from me, and I never saw him again.'' Gendry (s02/s03) : ''The only thing I know about my mother is that she had yellow hair.'' |
Though Lord Varys is a major player, what he confirms or doesn't confirm is nobody's business. He is just a 'titular' Lord (i.e has no land or castle). Also he's not a Westerosi.Aegon VI will be better confirmed by Jon Connington who was once a Hand,Lord and friend to the mighty Prince Rhaegar Targaryen. For any of these Targs to really have a foothold in Westeros, they need to have some of the major houses supporting them.Varys himself suggested the same in s06.Both in the books and show, House Martell will support anybody and everybody who is a Targaryen. I'm not too certain about House Tyrell in the books. As for the other southern Houses, Houses Tully and Baratheon have been all but decimated. That leaves House Arryn. But those guys have their heads 'high in honour' so I doubt they'll even care (except of course Baelish flexes his fingers). The North has parted ways with the South and as already suggested,Jon is a regional character and won't concern himself with mundane things like politics. The Iron Islanders to me seem far removed and insignificant.Yes,they can swing a naval battle in your favour, but that's that. Gendry Waters on the throne though... .The only person Gendry has a better chance of seating on the Iron Throne is Hot Pie.Btw,have you guys seen this 'Purely Show Theory' that Cersei is Gendry's mother? http://winteriscoming.net/2017/03/04/speculation-cersei-lannister-gendrys-real-mother/ |

BraniacX:Who described the Drunk King as 'if he couldn't fight it or he couldn't f**k it, Robert soon became bored of it'? I'm tryna remember.I'm guessing it's Thoros of Myr. The description was sport on. Truth is, the man loved a challenge and of course he had guts. It's not everyday that someone starts a rebellion. But like Alexander the Great, he got bored when there was nothing left to conquer. |
BraniacX:Clearly, you didn't understand my post.I'll make sure I use inverted commas when characterizing the frog eater next time.I was trying to classify the gulf in class between the Killer and the Killed, the Knight of the Kingsguard and the Crannogman. You clearly also didn't see the word 'remix' when I rephrased that famous Jorah statement. I think your love for the Great Dayne closed your eyes from seeing these.I understand.I was just pointing out that the SotM was a still mortal and could well be killed. The way you guys were going on about him I thought we were talking about the Warrior himself. As for the last part, maybe the Drunk King was scared, maybe he wasn't. |
Gbola5:That "Sun rises in the west" statement Mirri made to Dany was it really a prophecy or just a figurative way of telling Dany what she wanted was impossible. Some people theorize that it's actually a prophecy: "MMD's prophecy was in response to a question posed by Dany: "When will he [Drogo] be as he was?" We know that Drogo is dead and cremated so he can never be as he was. I think that this is a possible foreshadowing that Dany dies during childbirth and is reunited with Drogo in the Night Lands. " When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east" - I believe this to be Quentyn "When the seas go dry" - I think this refers to the Dothraki sea. "and mountains blow in the wind like leaves" - could refer to the pyramids of Meereen "When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child." - there is a theory that Dany may have suffered a miscarriage at the end of ADwD but I believe that this bit of the prophecy has not yet come to pass as Dany has not yet borne a living child." http://asoiaf.westeros.org/index.php?/topic/96391-mirri-maz-duurs-prophecy/ When Mirri made that statement,I was like "this woman has no soul" |
Gbola5:Yeah,the manner of the Great Dayne's death is left to speculation. D & D felt he was stabbed at the back. I beg to differ. I feel he was killed using fishnet and frogspear.& ![]() As for Mirri Maaz Duur, she had no intention of saving Khal Drogo.Remember that she told Dany that Drogo's khalsar killed her people and desecrated the temple of the Lamb god.She only appeared to help Drogo so that she could use blood magic to kill Rhaego and turn Drogo to a vegetable. If the Dothraki had the backing of a few Westerosi, they stand a good chance of conquering Westeros.(Remember SmallJon's concern about a Jon Snow-led Wilding Host on the show) .Imagine Drogo's khalsar bent the knee to Dany. They might have been led by the likes of Ser Jorah and Ser Barristan (when he eventually joined Team Dragon Mama).Ser Barristan's name alone will flock many to Dany's cause... |
In Jorah's voice:Arthur fought bravely,Arthur fought valiantly...then Arthur died.(remix) For all the hype,Arthur Dayne was killed by a common frog-eating crannogman. Drogo was killed by magic.I have no doubt that he'll need only a dagger to end the Sword of the Morning. It is Known. For all those bad-mouthing the Dothraki, remember the Drunk King was genuinely scared that Dany was gonna lead them to conquer Westeros but Ned Stark convinced him that Dothraki cannot cross 'poison water'. |
Jon is prolly the greatest swordsman in the North currently and that's why he is well respected by both the Northmen and Free Folk. All great swordsmen built their reputation piece by piece and Jon is currently building his. All this talk just reminded me of what Jaime told Loras in the books: “I learned from the White Bull and Barristan the Bold,I learned from Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning, who could have slain all five of you with his left hand while he was taking a piss with the right . I learned from Prince Lewyn of Dorne and Ser Oswell Whent and Ser Jonothor Darry, good men every one.” |
Yonce:In all families (even in real life) a certain trait seems to be common to almost all its members. The Lannisters we have encountered are golden haired doesn't mean all Lannisters are like that. Also recall,Lord Tywin married his cousin Joanna, so naturally it's expected that their children and their 'inbred children's children' should have similar traits. A guy on Quora had this to say: " All Lannisters are not blonde. This is exactly what Jon Arryn and then Ned come across in the book that details the lineage of great families of the realm that they borrowed from Maester Pycelle. In this book they come across instances where Baratheons have wed Lannisters, and each time a black haired Baratheon has wed a golden haired Lannister, their child has been black haired - this essentially means that the child born with Lannister blood (and name also if the father was a Lannister and mother a Baratheon) would have black hair and not blonde." https://www.quora.com/Why-are-all-Lannisters-blond-Unlike-the-Targaryens-the-Lannisters-always-marry-outside-the-family-so-why-do-they-all-continue-to-remain-blond Apart from the Lannisters, most Tullys have auburn hair while most Starks have dark brown hair. But it is only House Baratheon that all members have black hair( I stand to be corrected though) |
moski5:I concur. That's why I made mention of only dominant genes.Black is a very common hair color lol. |
It belongs to Jon Snow (thank me later). |
armadeo:You're right. The Baratheons seem to be the only House with 'dominant genes',hence the phrase "The Seed is Strong". |
Thank God, I'm through with FUTO.This one-bank situation was the height of frustration especially in the First Semester when most people paid their fees . Btw,OP that queue isn't actually long like some I experienced (at least they didn't reach the gate) |
Why are they masked? ![]() |
My thoughts exactly |
martinz1:I had a similar issue but I was advised to use Google Chrome to access the page and it worked! |
Serves the racist right.Big ups to our brother for being the BIGGER MAN. |
Tyrion Lannister (A Song Of Ice And Fire series) for his wits Long John Silver (Treasure Island) for his complexity and ambiguity Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock Holmes) for being the best fictional detective |
Mixing Business and Pleasure. Lol!! |
Mexyz:Unfortunately,he is.Died earlier this year.Really liked his 'severity' when he acted as Snape |
Kakamorufu:Actually,Ameobi joined us when he was way past his prime and knew he wont be capped by England. When he was in form (around 2004-2007),he kept doing shakara for us. |
Supermansteve:I trust you can both count and know the meaning of the word: 'or' |
Nice list tho.My selection will be Goalkeeper : Ikeme Center Backs: Balogun and Troost-Ekong Fullbacks: Echiejile and anyone but the guy who played against Zambia Defensive Midfield : Mikel and Ogu (Yes, he hasnt featured for Chelsea but truly you can't buy Mikel's experience in the market). Attacking Midfield : Moses,Iwobi and Musa (Iwobi is largely inexperienced with African football and usually plays at the wings for Arsenal. But I believe he has the vision and guile to fill the 'no. 10' void left by his uncle) Striker : Iheanacho or Ighalo |
Why is it with our media: Local Coach = Local Coach, Head Coach Foreign Coach = Technical Adviser? |

but as long as a targayrean was involved, he always had a knee jerk reaction of "kill them"........ "Kill them all" such were his sentiments and according to him, the only good targayrean was a dead tagayrean and he repeatedly kills prince rhaegar at the battle on the tridents every night in his dreams for stealing and killing the love of his life lyanna
