Even before Jonathan stepped down, electricity generation had improved, because during the past administration, Nigeria was generating 6000mw. The major problem they had then was distribution which maybe this administration have improved upon. What I may agree in my own opinion is that of the efficient distribution of prepaid meter nationwide.

Also, it's still doesn't rule out the fact that there are some places in Nigeria that power distribution is very poor.

Buhari approve State Police in the country. Let States manage their own security since it's obvious you have failed. Your visitation to most of these Northern States have not yielded any fruit. 8 Changes You Need to Know The National Assembly Approved to Electoral Act

The National Assembly approved changes to Nigeria’s electoral act. Here are 8 things you need to know about it:

INSTANT TRANSMISSION OF RESULTS

The overarching objective of this new electoral act is to reduce human interference in the electoral process and minimize corruption. In this regard, the Electoral Act amendment mandates the immediate transmission of voting results from polling units to collation centers. This will help to give real-time results and updates and end election malpractice.

ONLINE PUBLICATION OF VOTER REGISTERS

This amendment provides a fair and more level playing ground for all contestants by mandating INEC to publish all voter registers 30 days before the election. This will end the manipulation of voter registers. In the case of missing names on the voter register, voters have 30 days to complain to INEC.

FULL BIOMETRIC ACCREDITATION

The Electoral Act amendment gives INEC powers to utilize full biometric accreditation of voters with smart card readers and/or other technological devices, as INEC may introduce for elections from time to time.

RESTRICTS ARBITRARY QUALIFICATIONS

The Electoral Act amendment ensures that political parties can no longer impose arbitrary qualification criteria on candidates. This will encourage younger voters to contest, promote competition in the process, and make elections more free and fair.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION MECHANISMS

The Electoral Act amendment sets out a more rigorous process for the determination of candidates, as well as creates dispute resolution mechanisms that will allow those who are aggrieved to petition quickly.

MAXIMUM EXPENSES

The Electoral Act amendment sets out the maximum expenses that can be incurred by every politician who is seeking election, as well as designates the fees that aspirants will pay to political parties to purchase forms. This means that our elections will no longer be about money and politics, but about competence.

SUBSTITUTION, RESIGNATION & REPLACEMENT

The Electoral Act amendment ensures that the names of candidates must be submitted not earlier than 90 days before the election, and not later than 60 days before the election. Additionally, candidates can only be substituted not later than 30 days before the election. Additionally, in the case of resignations, the person who is resigning must do so physically (in-person) — and his/her resignation letter will be transmitted to INEC.

DEATH

The Electoral Act amendment specifies that in the case of a death occurring before an election, such election will be suspended for 21 days and a replacement will be done within 14 days — the remaining the 7 days will be used for campaigning.

They don't have any problems as long as they have not overstayed during any of their previous visits.

They also do not need to renew yet as they can still travelled with the validity left of their visa. A friend' landed POE the day her visa expires and she was still stamped 6 months even though she doesn't even have time to stay even up to 2wks.(Note I don't recommend this)

And I don't think they will have problem if they want to apply afterwards.

Hello house, I am asking this question in regards to my parents.

My have a 2year visa to the U.S which they have been traveling and coming back to Nigeria concurrently.

They have 6months left to their visa, and my question is, can they go ahead and buy their flight ticket to the U.S, or should they renew their visa before they plan to visit again?

They're actually planning on staying in the U.S for 3months before coming back to Nigeria, but they're scared that they may be refused entry when they get to the U.S.

Also, if supposing they want to renew their visa now before traveling, do they need a fresh invitation letter from their siblings who are PR residence there, or they can just go ahead and fill in the information they filled in last time with the invitation they had?

My cousin was recently banned for 5 years from entering Canada as a result of a misrepresentation he made in his application for a study permit ( He forgot to indicate that he was once denied a visa to US in 2013, thinking that the question was asking if he been denied visa to Canada).

My question is that can he still apply to study in America, without the ban in Canada affecting his chances of getting a visa?

At least Gej built roads, developed the Almajiri schools and did so many other things we all witnessed in this country. There was basic healthcare for everybody in Nigeria, including those living in the rural areas. We saw what Jonathan did. So in my mind, he was not as corrupt as people are painting him to be, because there was development in all sectors, people were employed and they could eat. Under corruption, no will witness such type of development.

But now, what is happening? Even with oil prices rebounding, Buhari' s govt is still giving excuses for it's incompetency. Using Gej as a reason and an excuse for people's suffering and hardship they're experiencing in their lives. Buhari has not done anything for Nigerians. The statistics are there, glaring for everybody to see. And some people are coming here to complain that Gej wasted our collective resources.

As far as I am concerned, we were eating our money, all of us in general, because life was good for us all. We were not borrowing as we're borrowing now. Our standard of living was high compared to now.

Look, any day any time, I will choose Gej's corruption to Buhari's anti-corruption and incompetence. Just imagine, giving 8 dead people national appointments, and on Christmas Eve, Nigerians cannot afford to buy fuel to enjoy the holidays and some people are here defending that type of leader's incompetency. Tufiakwa!! Over my dead my body will I support that type of person.
