People in benin republic speak yoruba. Does that make them Nigerian?
No it doesn't. However, they're still Yorubas. They can't deny that about themselves, because it is who they are, Yorubas. On a good day, there natural inclination (the Egun people in Benin Republic) will be towards the Yorubas, and Nigeria in general.

Why will lagos experience power outage? SS is still part of Nigeria.

Which world? The world is still trading with Nigeria.
What makes you think SS won't be part of Biafra?

Don't you know that about 50-65% of SS alone are made up of Igbos, down to some parts of Benue and Kogi. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not supporting IPOB, I'm fully a Nigerian. I only want to find out from you why you think states in the SS such as Delta, Cross-River, Akwa-Ibom, Rivers and even Bayelsa won't be part of Biafra if the FG should issue a referendum for the Igbos to choose and decide if they want to remain in Nigeria or not?

I mean I feel that It's very obvious to every Nigerian (including yourself) that these SS states and people have so many things in common with Igbos. From language to food, dressings, including cultures, tradition and religion. Why do you think otherwise about the SS people and Igbos?

Don't be deceived, the people of Ukwuani, Agbor, and Umunede are all Igbos. If they speak their local dialect, an Igbo man from Abia man will be able to understand an Agbor man when they speak. In fact most people from Agbor, Ukwuani, and Umunede are able to speak Igbo.

In as much as many Well-Meaning Nigerians would have wanted to be there at the hearing, the painful truth is that they may not end up being there in the end. And since there are no alternative online/virtual means for citizens to contribute to the hearing, it then means that the reviews that these well-meaning Nigerians have in their minds for which they couldn't get themselves to the venues of the hearing in order to contribute, may end up remaining with them forever.
..
Nevertheless, I earnestly hope that those persons who finally made it to the venues of the hearing would point out “Many” of those issues which the supposed “absentees” were having in their minds.

..
For me, - and that is, speaking for myself - I would be very happy if these issues I am listing here below are reviewed (or added to the Constitution):

1. “Independent Candidacy In Elections”. Let it not be a compulsory factor that a candidate must come from a political party.

2. “Electronic Voting”. Let the options for electronic technologies be allowed in our elections, and let the options allowed not be restricted or specifically mentioned, this is because, as technology continues to advance, better technological options may become available.

3. “Expanding the Conditions and Options for the use of REFERENDUMS”. Referendums at the moment (according to the current Constitution) can only be used when there is need for the creation of a new State or LGA or to adjust the boundaries of existing States or LGAs. It can also be used when a legislative member is to be recalled by the constituents who voted him/her. That is a very shallow and a very narrow use of Referendums in Nigeria. Provisions should be made to expand the use of Referendums. A full section should be included in the Constitution about Referendums; and it should be in such a way that the Legislature Calls for it in order for it to be used to decide some important national issues, and then the Executive Council Approves it, and finally the Electoral Body Conducts it.

4. “Separation of the Local Police, State Police, Regional Police, and Federal Police”. This one is simple. No much explanations are needed. Or alternatively, let all policemen be posted back to their Local-Government-Areas. (Police is not Military. Police is mainly for maintaining the internal peace and order, and this should be done with the use of Minimum Force. When the case gets bigger than the use of Minimum Force, then a Tactical Team should be deployed. Policemen shouldn't be moving around with deadly weapons).

5. “Total reformation of the Police Force”. All the functions and operations of the Police Force should be boldly stated inside the Constitution. Where their powers began and where they ended should also be included. For instance, the use of firearms should be highly restricted for the police. Also, police should stop operating as if they are military men.

6. “Total reformation of the Military”. All the functions of the Military should be boldly stated inside the Constitution. Where their powers began and where they ended should also be included. For instance, the military should not be seen anyhow in the cities and on the highways as if they are Policemen. The Military functions are totally different from Police Functions. Let it clearly stated that Military can only be seen at places where there is serious unrest, or at places where there is total breakdown of peace and order.

...
I think these are all that I can say for now.
If I remember others, I can add them in the comments below.

Balenciagabrain:
Hello,
May I kindly get your candid opinions? I recently am pitching for I.T which I am having problem with choosing which language to go for but I finally considering to settle for C++. I hope I am not going for what may have become outdated.
Besides, may I also know more specifics about C++... I would be very much grateful for your kindness.
Honestly, if you're looking at getting a software job in Nigeria, go for Java, python, C#, php, and javascript, and any of it's framework. With these programming languages, you'll get a job in Nigeria as fast as possible. Besides, these languages have so many libraries, and communities where you can get knowledges from.

As for C++, I don't know anything about it other than it can be used to develop games which I don't think there're gaming companies in Nigeria, thus it will be very difficult to get a job with C++ in Nigeria.

So please go for any of the languages I have advised you to go for if you want to get a quick software job in Nigeria, and perhaps in the world at large.

I'm getting so uncomfortable with the killings that are going on in the South-East. I mean this is not cool at all. These people should try to understand that their Igbo brothers and sisters are also scattered all over Nigeria, most especially in the North. They will be the ones to be hit and affected first.

This shouldn't be encouraged by anybody at all. This is totally wrong, I repeat this is totally wrong o. FG should better act fast before this escalates further, because it is gradually and steadily heading towards that path.

It's surprising most people never spotted the fact that she did this as a form of protest towards illegal deforestation. She is trying to raise awareness to one of the major problems that is affecting our habitat today. If the current rate of illegal(even legal) logging continues without replanting, we run the risk of desert encroachment, and stormy weathers. Incase you do not realize, trees serve as windbreakers.

I can vouch for her sanity. Wont bet my 1naira on the sanity of some people here though
That's not true. She's into paganism, and demon worshipping.
There are other ways she can protest and raise awareness over deforestation and illegal felling of trees. It shouldn't be by marrying a tree. It's only a fetish person that will do this, and get married to a tree.
Finally, at the end of the day, whatever she sees, make she take am like that. Na she don cause am for herself.

TravelRe: Udom Emmanuel Links Akwa Ibom With Abia Through Long Abandoned Road by lextube: 9:51pm On Jun 21, 2020
Nditoeka:
By Richard Peters

Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has linked Akwa Ibom to Abia State through a long abandoned road in Ini Local Government Area of the state.

True to his assertion that one of the key pillars of leadership is doing the right thing consistently without being distracted by negative criticisms, Governor Emmanuel has transformed the ancient 14.1km Odoro Ikpe/Ikpe Ikot Nkon/Obotme/Arochukwu Road in Ini Local Government Area.

The Governor who has always had it right when it comes to economic development; he foresaw the potentials inherent in the rehabilitation and construction of the road with a 110m span bridge on it.

History has it that the road which has suffered neglect and abandonment for centuries was toured by ancestors dating back to the colonial era, with the bridge serving as a link to the State from Abia.

Thus, the road which is nearing completion has become a link to the past, a plus to the present administration's road infrastructure and a legacy promoting sustainable economic relations for the future. This is even as the Ini/Arochukwu people are known for their prowess in agriculture and farm produce.

Moreso, since accessibility to the state from this road is now being guaranteed, Akwa Ibom can boast of increased investment and commerce from neighbouring states which will boost its IGR.
You can't imagine my joy reading this news that this road linking Akwa Ibom to Arochukwu has been fixed.

I'm from Arochukwu, and I know that road very well. That road is a death trap. We use to come out from the vehicle for the car to cross that bridge.

I'm so glad that it has finally been fixed. I used to think that that road would never be fixed. Thank you Gov Udom for rehabilitating that road. We know how terrible that road use to be, and I as an Arochukwu man and indigene is most grateful for this rehabilitation.

Although I quite agree with Garba Lawal that Victor Oshimhien is being overpriced, but hey! The boy is good, and has proven his worth! I mean if big clubs need him so badly, then they should be ready spend money to get him! It's as simple as that.

Just because he's African doesn't mean he shouldn't be overpriced. In all transfer windows, we always see at least one European player who is overpriced. Let's always tell ourselves the truth, if a club values a player, they'll always put a huge sum of money on the player's head to dissuade any club who is interested in the said player's service. That's just it.

If I were Oshimhien, I will demand for a pay increase. That way, I will know that my value is being appreciated by Lille.

I suspect you have contracted urinary tract infection(UTI) or gornorrhea. Either of the two, a strong antibiotics will do the trick to cleanse you off of the infection. Talk to a pharmacist, they will be in a better position to recommend a good antibiotics for you.

Lastly, please go for an all round test which includes HIV and other related sexually transmitted infection.

WilliamsTheGrea:
Hello everyone, my name is Williams, I'm a young guy of 26 years old currently engaged to a very pretty young lady who is 24 years old

I do business online and earn good income before I decided to find a lady and settle down with and luckily I found a good one who is decent and don't flirt around or do social media's like whatsapp or Facebook. Hardly receives calls, not friendly with males lol (I managed to woo her through a church member)

We have been 1 year into the relationship now and we are to get married next month but guys the problem I am having now is that she has a child for another man which is her ex she was with when she was young she gave birth at age 20, we dated for about 7 months before she told me this.

Ever since then I haven't really been myself, the child is a male child who lives with her mother but recently the mother called her to come carry the child as she can no longer look after him due to him being a very stubborn boy, the child is 4 years old.

Now she has gone to bring the child to our home, a two bedroom apartment, I'm a kind of guy who loves peaceful environment with no single drop of noise, now ever since the child came in about a week now, I have not had peace, we have quarreled several times because of the child, I'm not really comfortable with the child because I can't love another man's child as my own

My girlfriend is yet to give me a child of my own, the child runs around and doesn't listen except when beaten and each time I beat the boy up when he does wrong my girlfriend looks at me with hatred like I'm maltreating the boy because I'm not the father.

Please guys help me I don't know what to do but I can't cope with the child, I remember paying the child school fees about 3 times since we are together because the child's father isn't doing anything at all.

Now today is the child's birthday and she is asking me for money to get him cake and take him out.

My people of nairaland I cannot accept another man's child no matter what I love the mother but not the child the connection is just now there because the boy isn't of my character I'm a calm man, very calm but the boy is very radical and stubborn children irritate me so much.

I don't know what to do.

Each time this child topic comes up between I and my girlfriend she becomes bitter.

She says she will never take the child to the father or the family of the father that she must raise the child herself.

I don't think I can help train anothrr man child whom in the end will go and find his father after he is all grown.

Please I need advice, she says over her death body will she return the child to the father

I'm not comfortable in my own home.

A lot of things running through my mind like to break up with her for peace to reign

Or rent another apartment for her and the boy to go live in.

Please I need matured advice
If you accept that Child and raise him as your son, he will never forget you. Even if he grows up and then goes out to look for his father.
Sometimes it is the legacy and the lives we touch on earth that matters.

This is unbelievable. I don't trust this Supreme Court judgement. So if Hope Uzodinma can win like this at the court, why wasn't Atiku declared the winner at the Supreme Court because there were thousands of cancelled votes too which we all saw on TV and on the internet? As far as I am concerned no matter what anybody says, this is a broad daylight robbery.

How long are we going to keep silence and allow this kind of corruption to go on. With this kind of attitude from our leaders, Nigeria can never be better.

Honestly speaking, Imolites and Nigerians need to come out en mass and protest. This is corruption at full blown. Nigeria is indeed a bleeped up country. Anybody who has the means to leave this country to a better country should do so. There's seriously no hope for this country with this kind of leaders at the helm of affairs.

Now if she fill this info in the K-1 application, and during the Interview, the VO request to see the marriage certificate, and notices that I have been married before I started applying for the study visa in the past and never stated it, do you think it can cause a problem for me?

Hi guys,
Thought I should ask this question here.

Several times in the 2years, I have been applying for a student visa to the US and have been granted. In those times, I have never indicated that I have been married in my application (even though I was then). Currently I am officially divorce and my fiance in the US want to come down to Nigeria and we're already talking about her filing a k-1 visa for once she comes and goes.

My question is if she wants to apply for a k-1 visa for me, does she need to indicate that I have been divorced? (she knows that I am divorce) I will be grateful if anyone can offer a response to this. Thanks alot house.
