Romance › Re: A Lady Going Out On A Date With Another Guy Few Days To Her Wedding by lezz(m): 5:41pm On Aug 17, 2015
proxillin:
My friend’s wedding is coming up by next month. I am to be one of his men in suit.

I noticed they are quarreling recently. He opened up to me yesterday.

They are looking for a DJ to play at their reception, so his wifeToBe got a number of one DJ, added him on whatsap and they started chatting. My guy trusted the lady that she is just doing business chat with the DJ.

One day, my friend was going through her whatsapp chat with the DJ. The WifeTB told the DJ that she needs the service of the DJ for her friend’s wedding. She didn’t tell the DJ she is actually the one wedding.

The DJ started asking her out for date. She agreed to meet the DJ for a date somewhere.

My guy saw all that, yet he kept quiet and didn’t want to raise the issue with the lady as their wedding is close, before people start saying he is jealous, he is spying on his girl blahblah.

But my friend could not endure the whole thing again when the DJ started calling her repeatedly. They engage in confidential phone calls. She will be laughing…all Yes No Yes No Ok.. Ok hmmmm conversation, so that someone nearby will not understand what they are saying. At times she excuses my guy to go and pick the DJ’s call.
My guy finally confronted her, why all conversations with the DJ are not business and formal. Why is she hiding things from him?

The wifetobe went mad she alleged my guy is jealous, wrongly suspecting her.

My friend told her, he actually read their chats where they agreed to go out on a date.
That’s when she admitted that he actually asked her to meet him somewhere for a hangout.
She said she had nothing in mind for him. She is only going to meet him as friend at a restaurant. Nothing is going to happen. It’s just a harmless date.

My friend opened up to me that he regretted making decision to marry her. He told me a lot of things that he can’t cancel the wedding again. He will be part of the wedding, but after the wedding, he will start f***cking girls. He will make life difficult for her.

I told him, it’s better to remain single than to go into a hateful marriage.
Deep down in me, I can’t advise him to cancel the wedding.
I have summoned them for a meeting to discuss it and settle it. But that lady can be arrogant at times. My peace meeting may or may not be successful.

Is it normal for a lady to go out on a date with another guy just a month to her wedding?
There are no excuses. That girl doesn't understand what marriage entails. She isn't even ready. It would still be an offence to go out on a date with an old friend when plans are just underway for your marriage, but going out with someone you just met- the DJ of your event is all the signs your friend needs to call off the wedding.

It might hurt bad but it won't be half as bad as a worthless wife in a matrimony.

That's a category A b1tch he's about bonding with.

And if he doesn't bleed now for once, he'll be doing paternity test in the next 5 years.

Creamish:
My thoughts exactly. A man needs to man-up & take his responsibilities seriously. No home should have the woman as the bread-winner. Women should support and not take over a home.
Aye! It is ironic how men have got lost in the wind of modernity. Some have abandoned their roles as the main bearer of financial and moral responsibility as soon as the wife indicates an eagerness to assert herself.

But then, the number of women who have been hoodwinked into thinking they should be the main breadwinners are directly affecting men's role.

Isn't it ironic most hardworking, financially independent women end up with men who take them for granted and use their finances to woo other less privileged girls?

What I'm trying to put across is a woman who thinks proving her womanhood is by becoming the breadwinner at home will indirectly weaken the zeal and drive of the husband. The first instinct of a man is to protect -if necessary with his life- his wife and family. But this zeal is directly weakened or hightened by the roles played by his woman.

A whole lot of today's men have become intimidated by today's women. It is a complex issue. So many men have been raised by single mothers.

Women are trend followers by nature. Men are trend setters. So few men are ready to set the trend in morality, education and truth at home for their wives to follow.

So you have women falling victims to fake and genuine pastors who run their homes from their churches.

The truth is when a man lacks drive and direction, most intelligent women who are wives to these men take it as an excuse to lead, control and take over. Whilst the most effective thing to do is a gentle nudge of encouragement for the husband to be awakened.
Christianity Etc › Re: Anita Oyakhilome Opens Up After Divorce Tale by lezz(m): 2:00pm On Aug 17, 2015
GLeesMODEL:
If you recall in 2014, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his wife Anita, who now goes by her maiden name Ebhodaghe caused quite a stare when news of divorce between the two hit the net.

The divorce was filed in April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, United Kingdom on the grounds of "unreasonable behaviour" and for the first time since that divorce, Anita is now speaking.

Anita took to her blog to discuss how her life has been changing as of late making some serious references to her marriage as she wrote. She wrote:

It is my desire to reach out and inspire you especially if you feel vulnerable and in need of a change. I hope to inspire you to believe in yourself no matter the circumstances. I want to help you recreate your life going forward, so you can live beautifully. I have been through this journey of rediscovery and nothing is as beautiful as realising one’s uniqueness as I have done. Life is a precious however, your life can go through different seasons: winter, spring, summer or autumn. Life can hit you with financial loss, disappointments, death of a loved one, a broken relationship, loss of a job, a divorce, being falsely accused or being a victim of crime. These can shatter you to pieces but you can do something about it.

Life is a gift from God and you deserve to be happy irrespective of your age, race, gender, background or financial situation. I urge you to appreciate the gift you are, you are precious and valuable. Never lose sight of who you are; begin to create new visions and dreams for your life. Let nothing stop you from growing every day. My story is not one of a bed of roses, far from it but I had a choice to either beat myself over the regret of tolerating abuse for so long or put a stop to the abuse and recreate my life for the best. My journey was not in vain. I can now help others realise that their situation does not define them.

In order to move on with life, I have come to realise that nothing is permanent. Your problem is not permanent; you can do something to change it by ensuring you do not allow the situation or the person make your life miserable. Pain is a fact of life, it is inevitable but suffering is optional. You can do something to change the pain by over looking every obstacle, take control as a force of nature to grow and expand. Do what is necessary now to use the gift God has given you to unleash your purpose.

My message to all is simple: you have value therefore discover your potential. Do not allow anybody destroy you or rob you of living a joyful life. Your life is not wasted; you have just started a different phase of life. God will show you how to use your testimony to help others and restore their lives to exuberance. Please join me to encourage and inspire others. You have a story to tell, you can contribute and participate in the dialogues here. Let us all learn from one another’s experience and reach others with the gift of love and kindness. Share your experience by emailing me or making a comment. Celebrate your uniqueness because there is only one of you.

Every man that is worth it sees himself as the boss, the captain of the ship called marriage.he had his ego.all you berd do is to massage his ego by respecting him.not necessarily being a fool but meekness that would reach out to his soul and soften the hardest part of him.once you get to that point, that man would have the urge to give back.
Now the only way he can give back is not to respect you.no.it's by seeking to please you.he shows it by doing things that will make you happy.he will do things he wouldn't have naturally done just to please you; things you may or not have asked for.
at this point if you stop he stops but if you continue you lead him on and this man will provide, protect, abd defend you with all he's got.
On the other hand if you show him that you are equal, competition starts.he will be compelled to maintain his top position which manufests in wickedness, rejecttion, and beating
The good ones are still among us!
Thank God.

(11) most newly married couples still carry on their social media accounts as if they are still single in WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and even on NL.

Having your Facebook relationship status updated isn't enough.

Adding a "Mrs" to your NL moniker won't do.

All social media "toasters" and "flirters" in your lists will have to give way for the new king or queen .

If your work isn't online related, then time on social media has to be greatly reduced. Nothing is as disheartening and more selfish than a spouse who is often locked away - head down, fingers curled in the demands of social media- in the all consuming nature of Internet socialising.

- Your Frigates are not modern, they can only sail under-water for 4 days, after that, your sailors need to bring it up to charge it's batteries.

- Your Air defence is sh1T!!

- Your Infantry is the oldest in the world

- You lack qualified fighter pilots for your Gripen

- you only have 3 C-130s available at any one time

- You only have 10 Half-French Helicopters, they still aren't modern. The last pilot who tried NOE flying with your obsolete Helicopters ended up in the emergency wing of the hospital.

I hate to get into these feminist arguments especially with females and Bukatyne knows that, not sure why she is drawing me into it.

Anyways, my honest answer - I don't know. I honestly don't know what you'all preach.

I see a lot of scattered arguments on feminist threads ending in swearings and curses. Then I see a lot of women who are very intolerant of other women who do not believe in the movement. Omotola once gave an interview declaring that she was not a feminist and how much she revered her husband and home. The abuses, insults, curses, image tarnishing she got on that thread from feminist was very appalling and honestly, I was very disappointed and if I had been having some doubts about the movement, that sealed it. I had to ask myself if the movement was some form of cult.

Since then, I have seen women, mostly singles and a few newly-weds who cannot understand why any woman will not be a feminist because according to them, they have come to liberate women from their controlling husbands. It doesn't matter if you say you are enjoying your marriage or you have spent years making a success of the marriage; to them, you need need the feminist deliverance as long as you believe in submission or headship. Duh

Strangely enough, I get amazed when NL feminist disown people I consider to be true feminists - ie people who want to be free to do anything a man can do. Eg the free the tips. Those are the ones who don't want to cherry pick. If men can bare their chest, they also want to. Isnt hindering them gender discrimination? So why do NL feminist think they have mental issues?

Strangely, I don't even know any feminist in real life, yet I am previledged to know a lot of women achievers offline. The first woman chemical engineer in Nigeria is someone I am previledged to listen and learn from, same with 3 female bank CEOs that I get mentoring from, and countless female executives. I have heard severally from these women, asked them enough questions , not once did I hear about this movement as being one of their success secrets. These are women that when you visit at home, you won't believe it's the same people you know in the office. In their respective homes, equality is a taboo.

Let me copy Damiso's trademark ending words to say, I didn't want to write an epistle o, but somehow, I have ended up writing one. Biko, no vex smiley
Well articulated! I have pondered and cease to worry.

Feminism in Africa can never fly; with the culture of changing Brazilian hair once or twice a month, fixing nails and toe-nails in addition to expensive creams.....

Even if all the men in Africa handed women feminism on a platter of gold, they will have economic and psychological needs to contend with.

The sad truth is there are no feminist in NL. Take a hard look. None. There are only pretenders who only enjoy testing their writing skills and literally compilation of the idea.

Family › The Role Of Sexes by lezz(op): 8:20pm On Aug 16, 2015
The role of men and women have been explicitly spelt out in religious books. But that has never sat well with modern women and their avowed apologists.

Over the years, unfulfilled and wandering women have looked onto science and social commentators to redifine the roles of men and women. So far, it is a futile attempt at reinventing the wheel.

Women are inherently multitasking; they can actually do far many more projects simultaneously . But they seldom achieve more; they're often content with tiny results here and there.

Men tend to focus on fewer projects and nearly always see them through. I like to call it the testosterone - drive. (TD). And that's about generally the basic physical and psychological differences between the sexes. Estrogen is passive and testosterone is hyper active.

All over the ages women have laid their marks in various heroics of loyalty, devotion, home makers, love, sacrifice and childbirth. Also these achievements have also been outstripped by gross naivety, emotional instability, physical limitation (in comparison to men) myopic world outlook and lack of an inherent drive for adventure.

Women are created weaker for a definite purpose: they were never meant to carry the weight and burden of the world in the same capacity that God through years of evolution have designed solely for males.

Any means employed by the women folks to subvert this role shall ultimately end in a sadness and unfulfilment that shall defy medical science. All efforts by modern psychologist to make women happy in a role alien to their inherent disposition shall only mire her further and deeper into the pool of her confusion and unfulfilment.

Women should go back to the basis where their strength is unchallenged and pure in a grand, eternal plan of purpose.

Men are burdened with the responsibility of navigating the world and society. How effective this role can be accomplished depends largely, but not entirely on the role women play as his source of strength.

The man is DELIBERATELY made more physically rugged, more emotionally stable with a thick wall of stubbornness that fraudsters, dubious pastors, modern trends find it very difficult to persuade.

Why? Because he has the burden of protecting and leading his family that is comprised of his wife and children.
He himself is responsible for cultural shifts, civilisations, teachings and religions. Women are more apt to follow and adapt. It is their nature.

Sadly today's men have grown weaker both in the quest for knowledge, leadership and spirituality. Often they are intimidated by the intelligent women without knowing that they themselves should be the custodian of wisdom. Men should read more and learn more. It is their responsibility. When left to women , the resultant effects won't be so effective.

The moral decay we witness today is nothing but the effect of men abandoning their roles for women.

Nice one. Your comment shows maturity and coherent but there is this missing link. Am not against any supernatural causation, i will rather say "i don't know than trying to create fantasies to fill in that gap. The immense complexity of the universe is mind boggling and should ever be a disturbance to any reasonable person.

Some years ago, it seems improbable if one could ever talk about a universal without a creator. But now, the more i research on this particular topic the more the implausible of a creator it seems to me.

The theist sort of god concept is amazingly demeaning and belittling. Deistic concept seems more coherent but i can't assert something i know nothing about. I rather choose to follow scientific investigations which has little bias and has no respect to any god claim. Using possible evidence science can lay their hands on within the universe in the process of unraveling the puzzle seems a better idea to me. Postulating a god tends to deter any investigation on why we are here. It is kinda lazy.

Thanks for your awesome and equivocal comment.
Lolz. If I understand you, your thirst for scientific conclusions must be satisfied first before you can even consider other options...

Yes, believing in God via Christianity or Islam is lazy. And one must be scientifically and logically abreast to seek answers from a philosophical or scientific angle.

But nothing is as difficult as blind faith. No amount of slugging behind an open book will measure half of the strength and wisdom it takes to have faith in God.

I see a St. Paul in you.

I have a close friendship with a doctor paediatrician who has been married for 25 years without child. Only faith in God saw him through. After all the pressures from friends and family, his stubbornness in faith saw him through.

I have read how religion lowers the IQ of people. And you know what, it is actually true. The Bible actually speaks of "worldly wisdom". St Paul was also telling one of the new churches not to compete with the world in worldly knowledge.

Science is actually meant to complement God; to see the miracle of creation and life and of healing.

However, some people want us to lead Africa, others want us to turn our cities into Dubai and paris, but our very foundation needs to be addressed. That's my own
Correct. it is a process. The percentage of Nigerians with political and world view awareness is still tiny.

When I look at China, most times I see Nigeria. For over 500 years China didn't know herself. What powers and potential she has. While still a developing country she has launched the intentional development banks that the UK, Australia etc are all scurrying to become foundational members. She has advanced her military and economy yet still having challenges of corruption, under development and dictatorship.

Nigeria has leadership thrusted on her whether she likes it or not. We amount for 75% of the economy of west Africa with over 65% of the population . Our firms, private company and banks have spread all through west Africa to east and central Africa.

What happens to Nigeria directly affects all of Africa. South Africa despite her advancement cannot inspire the rest of the continent because of her heritage .

When Kofi Annan delivered a world conference in January this year, he asserted that the destiny of Africa is in the hands of Nigeria.

Nigerian leaders are starting to believe so again.

I have premonition of all disasters in my personal life before it ever happens. Men can never be God to himself.

Before Europeans came to our fathers, they understood from the depth of their soul there's God. All societies of humanity has acknowledged there's God. The only difference is medium.

Modern education has launched a system they couldn't support. All major scientists who have postulated about the absence of God have equally admitted that the nature of the universe is beyond their comprehension.

5minsmadness:
I didn't put this together, but I really love the piece.

Afternoon friends, here i think is a great piece that does a great deal of justice to the current moral quagmire our world has gotten herself into..,get blessed by it.

The Six stages of deception

Deception is a process by which wrong becomes right, and right becomes wrong. It’s a complete paradigm shift of opinions, standards and morals that is achieved softly, subtly and often takes a generation to entrench into society.

If you want to know what I am talking about, find out your mother’s views on things like sexuality and marriage and compare them with yours. The contrast in opinions does not necessarily prove that she is old and antiquated; it may instead prove that you have been deceived.

There are six stages of deception.

● The shocker
● The outrage
● The discussion
● Tolerance
● Acceptance
● Veneration

If I wanted to popularize the most unimaginable thing in our society, say like bestiality (the practice of having sex with animals), I would follow these steps.

I would select a forerunner to drop the shocking message on an unsuspecting public. “We should start having sex with animals,” he would announce on radio, TV or in a newspaper.

That is the shocker; the bombshell, so to speak. It would inevitably be followed by outrage. The forerunner is abused and demonized by the bewildered public. Every respected leader in society comes out to slam the lamentable reprobate who dared suggest something so obnoxious.

The forerunner defiantly defends the practice. His critics come out even more scathing. But the forerunner knows exactly what he is doing. He is setting an agenda. Many people don’t understand the effect of continuous exposure on the human mind.

I will give an example most of you will understand. If you ask a girl out and she is not interested in you, the best thing she can do for herself is stay away from you or your words. If she continues listening to you, what was initially unthinkable becomes worth a consideration, then acceptable. Many ladies have fallen for guys they swore never to date just because they didn’t understand the law of continuous exposure.

Once the bestiality message reaches the third stage; discussion, the forerunner has done his job. At this stage there is a big debate over bestiality; with most people still slamming it, not knowing that they are falling into a trap.

I know for a fact that homosexual groups abroad were giving money to people fighting homosexuality in Uganda. Then they would also fund those pushing for it. Initially it didn’t make sense. Until I learnt how deception works. What they wanted was to keep the subject of homosexuality in public debate. They know exactly what they were doing. The more people are exposed to it through discussion, the more it becomes less obnoxious in their minds.

That leads to the next stage: Tolerance. At this stage people say: “I am not going to have sex with animals, but if someone chooses to do it, shauri yake (that’s his problem). Others will say: “Who cares what people do behind closed doors?”I have heard these statements being made by people who clearly don’t understand what they are up against. This is the stage at which science kicks in to ‘prove’ that some people are born with an inherent attraction towards animals and they cannot help themselves.

Consequently, bestiality is included in the UN Human Rights Charter and activists are given a new pursuit. Economic and travel sanctions are used to twist the arms of nations that still forbid it.

Then we start hearing phrases like: “We cannot tell people whom they should love.”

The main purpose of this stage is to ensure that bestiality is legally accepted.

The next two steps are aimed at entrenching it at a social level.

The penultimate stage is Acceptance. At this stage bestiality becomes a conventional alternative way of living. All the outrage has since dissipated. This is the stage at which those still opposed to it are called bestiaphobic (the word will be coined) and they are considered antiquated, old-fashioned, intolerant, dogmatic, religious zealots, bigots…. you’ve heard all those words.

This is the stage at which there are bestiality rights parades in major cities.

Then we are reminded that the same book in the Bible that forbids bestiality also forbids eating pork. Then ‘intellectuals’ think use that to rubbish the Word of God, and make it look ridiculous.

The final step is Veneration. This is the stage at which the people who practice bestiality are praised. The liberalist media (which includes almost all international channels) subtly promotes them as ‘cool’, intelligent, exposed. That’s the stage at which celebrities ‘come out’ to reveal that they are ‘proud bestialists’.

Then bestiality begins to win fresh ‘converts’ everyday because many young people will do anything to be seen as ‘cool’ or to be associated with some Hollywood or football star.

That is how you corrupt a whole society.

That’s how previously unthinkable things like atheism and homosexuality and all other forms of sexual perversion have taken root in our society.

Unfortunately, in Uganda, homosexuality has reached Stage four (Tolerance). But in the West, it has gotten to the veneration stage.

You have probably heard of the black homo American footballer who “made history by becoming the first footballer to come out”. What’s historical about someone proclaiming their perversion?

So many other people are being lauded in the media for no other reason other than their homosexuality.

Your mother may not be outdated after all. You may be deceived.
Sobering, tbought-provoking and factual with an eternal truth for the very honest and upright.

I say those who are passive about homosexualism are as guilty as faggotts themselves .

There's no bait. You spawn empty rhetoric with veiled repetitions and deny facts with controversy. That's what I got from the archives.

A God that you can't define and prove to exist. A god that is resting on your brain. Good for you, enjoy it only you. Delusion is allow.

I still say it and maintain this saying: until you care to independently verify whenever or not your beliefs are true without biased or because it feel so good, you will continue dancing in delusion
You mean, you look at cars, airplanes, trains and ships. All complex machines. Even if you didn't see anyone driving or flying one , you will know someone built them. The universe and galaxies are a thousand times more complex than any space jet and yet you won't believe something more powerful made it?

Only a fool doubt the existence of God.

The earth is held by nothing. It rotates on its own axis and around the sun for billions of years now without any mistakes. Yet scientist can't provide a plausible proof for its source of energy and accuracy. God is alive man. I'm not a preacher. But do not let your spirit make that realisation only when you have become immortal.

The human heart is about the size of a clenched fist, if scientist ever made a machine to support the human system when the heart fails, that machine would have to be bigger than a table top refrigerator.

If there's no God, life is meaningless. Everything we strive for and achieve are for nothing.

Nigeria can buy 4 Frigate worth $2 billion and 4 good subs worth another $2 billion with more OPVs. For d navy. And we can also buy 30 Su 30 with 50 jf17 thunder block 2 for less then $4 billion dollar all dis procurement will still be around 1% of our GDP. Why do you think we can't spend 10% if we feel any treat from a small country like South Africa who can't even put 4 vessels at sea at the same time.
