Hint: you can ask them to mix the sizes of the items they sell in dozens. E.g.; they sell one size of body suit in dozen but you can ask for say long sleeve body suit in size 0 to 6 months mixed. If you want less number of items, you can get it from another shop around there. But there's seems to be cheaper.

Last night I woke up with a cramp on my left leg that I felt I was going paralyzed, I started shouting Jesus and the person with me thought I was in labor. It went down and I slept of only for me to wake up this morning with menstrual cramps, been feeling it since and I just can't get up from my bed. Is it normal because I'm just 32weeks pregnant

The cramp on your leg shld be muscle pull I guess, it's been happening to me since I got pregnant and hubby will always rub water on it just to relieve the pains ... You can try it when it happens again.

You need to see your Doctor asap about the menstrual cramp feeling!!

Yeah,my edd was 19th and by 17th I had not started feeling anything and I was getting fed up but nothing wey I fit do.that same 17th was my clinic day so I saw doctor nd doctor suggested I took something to induce labor naturally instead of waiting till I cross edd nd be induced wt injection. So she sd I should get 12 oranges and a bottle of castor oil.dt I shld drink half d oil and 6 oranges wen I get home nd take d remains at nyt bfr sleeping.she sd it will mk me purge nd help me contract. She also said I shld climb stairs 10 times and a sex. I kuku dd everything o,I was doing d do wen I started feeling slight pain below my abdomen. I felt it was d intensity of everything but as it continued I just told oga to stop.afterwhich I just collapsed on d bed o.den I started feeling stronger pain.and like play like play I couldn't hold it again.it was as if all my intestine was being twisted. Babe it wasn't easy.couldnt lie down,couldn't stand..was just restless.d tn will just relieve me for lk 2 minutes nd start again.all ds started around 7 o,by around 9 ,we decided to go to hospital. Got to hospital to 10,was checked and was alrdy 8cm dilated....naso I open yansh down dey suffer contraction till I felt like poo poo...so I pushed o,nd my sweet heart came out at10:55...

You are making it sound like cos we are ignorant that's why we chose the path to cry and bring forth our babies.
Not everyone can afford the cheap 60k ur hospital is charging sef. So stop judging.

Even that headache occurs in 1 in 8000 women statically. Epidural birth doesn't make one less of a woman as long as you and your lo is safe.

I think it's only in Nigeria, people don't like Epidural cos most preggy mamas abroad jump at this Birth plan. People in Nigeria opt for Normal VD cos
1.its quite expensive and most General hospitals don't offer preggy mamas the option but it's mostly offered in Private hospitals.

2.They feel it makes them a less of a woman so dats why they always wantu feel the pains as per strong Naija babe naa( this is so laughable) .

3.The pushing stage might be longer cos u wldnt have the urge to push as you can't feel any pain at all so you might be assisted with the pushing

The minor after effect is dat you will have serious headache which will last for about 2 hrs I think cos my sis used Epidural for her lat birth and she had serious headache, shivering too is part of it but the major risk if it's administed by a quack Anesthetist is one might be paralysed for life(Numb Legs) anything goes wrong but this is very rare, it's like 1 out of 1000.

I hope I have been able to help a little, you can also read up on it on Google so you can know the pros and Cons extensively!!

I went to check my weight today again and I weighed 71kg, it turned out that the 75kg was a false weight. I also asked my gynea how much for the different series of birth, here are the price list

I think I might go with the epidural birth though

Wowwww, VD with Epidural 60k Lucky you my Gynae charges 80k for epidural, dats without the Delivery fee. My dear, just opt for VD with Epidural..no need to form strong Naija girl cos dats the Birth plan I opted for too cos my threshold for pain is Low abeg!!

this question has been bothering me..

in this modern day, what exactly do u do with the placenta? is it OK to leave it at the hospital?

I know in old times, they give it to the parent..in which some bury it or whatever way to prevent it from getting in "wicked people's hand"..

I've been wondering what to do with it when the time comes, cos it's not something u just wanna throw in the dustbin like that ..and burying is not really an option especially when everywhere is cemented.
can u leave it in the hospital for them to destroy and dispose it them self?

u know this is Africa.. and we are kinda kinda too religious in this part of the continent hence the question..

You pay for your Ante natal registration and ANC is included in the whole package so it's still indirectly paying for it I guess!!
