Maybe i should say thank God for the subsidized rate at govt hospitals, it is not really paradise though because Nurses are mean, its a small price to pay sha because my previous surgeries (2) have been excellent and professionally done.

Meanwhile, i thought doctors in island maternity were polite, see GH isolo, my last anc visit, the way the doctor took out time to explain what their procedure is, what kind of stitches would be used etc i was like hold up!!! I dey private hospital? so polite in answering all my questions. I think with all our wahala in nigeria, there are still good citizens out there

The doctors at GH Isolo are extremely nice and patient. Registered there for my ANC initially but my DH prefer private tho so I sneak there once a while to update my file, play with my fellow preggy frnds and do some checkup!!

Will be there for dat free scan once u 38 wks Nxt week,as it's part of our egistration fee ..i hope I get to see u Nxt wk Thurs if it's ur clinic day.

So I just came back from the hospital and the Dr did VE for me and he said my cervix is still closed but even in the office I was still feeling the contractions..

He asked me to return this night or tomorrow morning if the contractions persit or increase

Mine is fortnightly. Ayam tired jare. After the stress of waking early to get a good number, they will just check weight, BP, urine test (I dunno what they are checking o, they wee jus write 'Nil' after inserting that litmus paper thing into the urine), do palpation, fix next appointment and be cajoling someborri to buy their stuff.
Ok, I enjoy the classes sha, but sometimes I'm tired and sleepy from waking very early. The one that pains me most is the 5h they chop everytime for that urine test without explaining what they are even checking for. The last time, I was tempted to write 'Nil' on my card by myself so I go pocket that money.
All my records have always been good, normal routine, I was really tempted to skip the last appointment. Shebi they wee nor know if I write fresh appointment for myself when I'm ready?

Whaaatttt?? 5h to to do Urine test,na wa for this our Naija hospitals.
Thought it was Suppose to be part of the registration and all, why the Extortion. Urine test,BP and weight are like normal routine checks for me plus 3 free scan check (at my private hosp) and 1 free scan check at GH but then I pay for PCV test if I need to do another

I'm typing this from scan center!


Went for scan this morning, was told to come back for a repeat by 4pm. So I went back for the repeat scan only to be told that there's fetal node without cardiac activity!

I'm 12wks today but scan says 9wks....Was told it could be a missed abortion, that if that is the case I will have to flush it and start all over again since baby is not progressing! But I should come back in two weeks time to repeat a scan and see how it goes before final conclusion!

I BELIEVE THAT MY BABY IS DOING JUST FINE.....So I refused to be downcasted!

Just put 1pcm in your meat and boil together with it. If it's more than 1kg u can put more depending on ur meat quantity.

Do you put Pcm together with the maggi?i usually put Pcm first. ,then when it's slightly soft, I remove the water, wash and add maggi/onions or is dat a long procedure?

If you have a breast pump, trying pumping, you might feel a bit sore, probably pump an oz or less of colostrum but it works most of the time in starting really strong contractions which is why nipp-le stimulation in early pregnancy is discouraged as it deceives the body that baby is ready to make entrance and triggers contraction, thereby leading to miscarriage.
For a full term pregnancy, the contraction breast pumping will trigger is welcomed.

Eating the core of Queen pineapple works as well but you will have to eat well over a dozen or two of the pineapple core(the sticky looking part in the middle) and trust me, your tongue will not thank you for it and it rarely works.

Kpekus does wonders too, topped with walks and dance. If you have access to a birthing ball, plss dive on.

But in all, your best bet is breast pumping.
And most of all, pray. If you are a Christian, read psalm 51 several times, most women swear it.

Biko, I live in a fenced compound, housing 5 flats. How did I become public topic? I can't even tell dh this one cos he will just finish me.

2 caveats: I didn't buy clothes there at all so I don't know about quality of clothes, I also shopped last year December so my info may not be as current
