My baby was born at General Hospital Gbagada. This part is gonna sound like whining o, make una no vex. The only good thing from that experience is that both my son and I are alive and well. First off, there are no private wards, none at all. Everyone is placed in either of two maternity wards. If you like, be a Rocket Scientist with a PhD, you're gonna share room and facilities with everyone else.
There's just one toilet and three bath stalls to 16 or 18 beds per ward and the floors are constantly wet. Throughout my stay there, I had to pee standing up and then rinse off my legs after, it was totally undignifying.
There are no cots for babies, so you have to sleep in a narrow bed with a newborn by your side, not so bad if you're getting discharged the next day but when you have an extended stay after a surgery? Horrible.
To make things worse, the mosquitoes are legendary! So you'd need one of those baby bed/net thingies thereby reducing further your own bed space.
I didn't eat their meals so can't speak on that.

I was not expecting a luxurious 5-star stay but certainly didn't expect things to be so deplorable.

No sign of Labour at all,No show, I Guess my Miss world is still doing her makeup in there plus she just turned to cephalic position but not fully down down yet cos I can still walk very well, just a little vjayjay pulling.
My Matron did a VE on me yesterday, she told me cervix is getting soft but still closed. My Doc is doing another VE for me nxt week(will be 40 weeks) if nothing happens before then, but will know my fate nxt week sha.

Started doing my walk and squats already so everything should be sorted by next week cos am tired already sef All I know is am sharing my B.A and BS soon IJN!!

You can put in a small plastic container and place in hot water.

for sugar you can use milk cup or use as desired. For the chocolate add gradually till you get your desired sweetness.

The dough should double in size. I put mine under the sun. You can place bowl of dough in warm oven or pot of hot water. Time shouldn't exceed 45min but the key is that it should double in size.


I used Baker's choice pure cocoa. Anyone can do.

Recipe for chocolate glazed donuts

DONUT ingredients

1. Flour. 350g
2. Sugar 1cup
3. Yeast 3tablespoons
4. Milk 150ml
5. Melted butter 5tablespoons
6. Egg 1
7. Nutmeg optional
8. salt 1teaspoon optional


Mix flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a bowl, add the melted butter and egg and mix well.

Create a well in the middle and add milk.

Mix properly until you have a nice, soft, non sticky dough. If dough feels too soft add more flour. If stiff add a tablespoon of warm water at a time until you have a good consistency.

Knead and form into a rough ball, cover with a napkin and allowing to rise. It should double in size.

After it has doubled in size, punch and knead then begin cutting.

Use a biscuit cutter or any round shaped container. Place in a try to rise and then fry.


How to make chocolate glaze

I made mine from pure cocoa powder available in stores around.

Ingredients
1. cocoa powder 7tablespoons
2. butter. 3tablespoons (room temperature, not frozen or melted)
3. Sugar 1/2cup
4. Milk

Mama, plz is it that simas satchet butter you used for both recipes?? (By melted , you mean melting the butter on the frying pan first or what)
Is the sugar (1 cup) 500g or 250g and what brand of cocoa powder did u use
How many minutes did it take to cover the Dough with napkin?

Mamas, abeg this shea Butter and coconut oil is scam , after applying both religiously on my tummy, the stretch marks now decided to come out at the eleventh hour(38 wks).i couldn't cry... 8 tiny lines of stretch marks and I didn't even scratch my tummy at all(I used to think one gets tummy stretch marks from scratching).

So I guess it's the more my tummy stretches to accommodate the baby , the more marks.but the only advantage is dat my tummy and marks ain't dark . I have being wearing my marks with pride sha, hopefully it fades off after my Lo is out!!

Now I know tummy wey go get stretch marks go get o if u like use all the orisirisi you know on it.

It's well with you. Baby will turn and take the rightful position for her birth when it's time. Don't be worried. My ANC was today but I didn't feel like going I told dh I didn't have money cos I know the guy was cash strapped. He was mad that I just told him this morning when he had no way to get me money before my ANC. No other excuse would have been accepted by him.
The way my lo tumbles around ehn, I have chosen not to worry about position. I just know he/she would take the rightful birth position when it's time. So rest your mind sis, it'll come out fine

You ought to have stopped o...I only took warm water for 3 days after I did mine, just make sure you take ur drugs if u were given any.

* used to get angry cos of food in my first trimester.

* I collect unnecessary money from DH claiming its for some Test like dat .

* I use up all 5 pillows on the bed and still complain it ain't enough.

* I get called Iya Ibeji from market women( they gimme a lot of extra stuffs of whatever I buy from them)

* I get different unsolicited advice about what to eat and what to wear from strangers.*eyesrolling*

*I pretend to be having pains even when I don't just to stress my DH atimes cos I love the attention /petting .

*And of course I don't have to cook everytime , DH gets ready made soup atimes from his chef friend

I could go on and on ...I love being preggy abeg, wldnt trade it for anything in the world , it's just this Big Nose and dark skin of a thing dat is vexing me.

My 'absentee father' showed up when I was in uni, I had known about him for so long but couldn't care less, and no, my mum did not poison my mind about him, if anything... She excused his absentsim in my life so much that I fought with her over it severally. She was the real MPV mum, gave me the best she could afford and no she wasn't rich, she was just a hardworking woman who didn't want her mistake to define her, I woman who wanted to do the best for her daughter. She worked so hard and there were times school fees was no paid when supposed, there were times the meal wasn't enough and there were times my clothes were either undersized or oversized, we went through it all but one thing I never lacked was LOVE, I had an overdose of it, my mum made me feel like a princess even in those over or undersized clothes.... SHE WAS ENOUGH FOR ME. I don't run off like a rained drenched rat looking for a sperm donor.

When I w ??as in 2nd yr uni, one day after classes, my HOD called me for a short meeting, walked into his office and he took me to the dean, I was almost wetting my pants wondering wat kind of trouble I might have gotten myself into when I saw him, of course I have never cared enough to ask for a pic so I didnt know he was the deadbeat but I know I have seen that face on TV severally and national dailies. Brief introduction was made and the dean excused us. Then he began to stutter, asked of my mum . I demanded to know who he is and all, after stuttering like a confused being... Out he came with it. and out I walked!

I havent stopped walking away since then, he hasn't stopped trying but I couldn't care less. Yes he has children and all but he still wants to be a part of my life,

He has promised heaven on earth, Post graduate studies abroad, anything and everything but I told him to shove them all where the sun is dont shine.


The day he said he respected my mum so much for being so kind to raise right, I told him she was the perfect mum except for one issue, except for telling me he is still alive
Earlier this year, I threatened him with a restraining order and a media scandal, at least that kept him away until recently when his lawyer made contact that he wants permission to include me in his will. I said, 'why not, if not' I am an igbo girl and we are vain like that. And when he called to thank me for accepting to be in him will, he pleaded I make it to his funeral, I told him I will if I have nothing doing on that day. Yes, he cant be part of my life but I can inherit his wealth, I might as well be charity afterall.

Now, do I hate him? No but forgive me for not wanting a total stranger be a part of my life.

For people with my kind of birth history, running to meet their absentee fathers, each to their own reason, maybe they have a void they want to fill or questions they want answers to, I wouldn't know. Whatever rocks their boat.
The guys head might reset tomorrow and kelizosuy decides to give him a second chance and they end up as a big, happy family..... Happy ending
BUT.... will Adele go running to her dad tomorrow? MAYBE but not DEFINITELY!

Kelizosuy, do your best for that sweet angel which I know you will, so help you Lord.

Mamas, I say this with all humility, the fact that the unfortunate situation came up and she sorted for help does not give anyone right to put her life under microscope, she is an adult and whatever decision she makes should be respected.

To the Glory of God here's my BA! My princess defied all odds and came out screaming her lungs out @ a whooping 4.7kg! This is the easiest birth so far for me. Got to the hospital at 5am and Baby came at 5.43am this morning. God did it He took away the fears I had. Guess what tiny tear needed only one stitch. BS later. @cappo pweetiebabe

Can we just let Kelizosuy heal and breathe for now, she just came out of surgery and going through stress.some of the advice were spot on but I beg to differ in some parts cos it seems some mamas think she can't survive without the support of her Baby Daddy

I know the mamas dat adviced her to go look for her Baby Daddy wants the best for her but don't you think she is trying at her end too at least his cousin knows so definately the Baby daddy must know about Adele too, so What stops him from reaching out to her,this thing shldnt be a one way thingy cos we sterotype it like dat in this part of the world.

she has reached out to her mom and her cousin is also with her at the moment...let her just live life as it comes..No sane mum wants their baby to suffer,we all want the best For them.i know it ain't easy being a single mom for now, she ain't gon be the first or the last,and I know she can't die cos my cousin didn't die when she had her Baby at the age of 14... this can only make her stronger!!


Funny as it may sound, Babies like this melt their daddy's heart Yes, the Baby daddy and his family will come claim the Baby when they want to(i pray it ain't so late by then) cos it's their type dat will wantu take the child away (dem wan carry soup when e don dawn,biko don't agree o).

Yes,she will definately wantu know about her daddy but dat can never EVER block the bond btw her and her mum, and No she cant wake up one morning to say she wants to go and stay with her dad(na so e Easy) when the love she wants is already there.
