There was no reporting when Russia took those towns, same way there is no report of Russia taken over Mariupol. I wonder how many cities Russia have successfully taken since there is no report.

Unless Nairaland is your only source of news, every single event was well reported.

Then after waiting for 2 months and getting no response, he came back to say that the insider information was wrong and then he sold his OANDO, I think at a loss.

As God will have it, Oando immediately was removed from technical suspension and started flying. The few people that were deceived into Oando made millions .

So he was right after all?

It's not a bad idea.

Personally even though I have both mutual funds at any given time, I normally reduce my commitment to the fund that is low in rate at a particular time and commit more funds to the one where rate is up provided they both guaranteed my capital and a reasonable interest.

Thank you

Currently it's still 4.5% becaus the benchmark SDF has not been reviewed upward.
Another meeting is coming up this July. It might be reviewed then.

For now Abacus rate is higher because the underlying asset particularly Tbills is doing better than previous year.
As at December last year Abacus was less than 1%.
You know this world na turn by turn grin

Actually VGIF has its unique features.

These unique features be like promise of paradise... guess it's more profitable to carry my mat queue behind the one whose turn it is oo... cheesy

Abacus money market fund as the name implies is a MMF.

Principal underlying asset is treasury bills and commercial papers hence there is little or no risk at all. You can only lose money if the country no longer exist.

The interest is daily valued. It's currently 7.28% and it's upward looking base on economic realities right now. Interest can't be fixed because of market forces on Tbills but be rest assured there will always be interest and your capital is gurranteed.

If you are conservative with low risk apitite then Abacus mmf is best for you.

You earn interest daily but it's paid every quarter on the first day of the next quarter ie Jan 1st, April 1st, July 1st, Oct. 1st. You can also give instruction for your interest to be reinvested (compounding) which will be done automatically on those days as mentioned earlier. The one for second quarter was done two days ago (July 1st).

Your capital and interest is guaranteed.

minimum holding period is 30days and initial deposit from 1,000.

Parties to the fund:

Fund manager - investment one
Trustees: United capital trustees ltd.
custodian: citibank
regulator: SEC

You can do everything online- register and monitor your account.

Depositing money is not restricted it can be any amount from 1,000 and at any interval without a specific pattern.
Whenever you invest in the fund, your interest is prorated to cover the period of your investment before the payment date.
That means if you register and invest say 15th September 2021you will be paid interest for 15th to 30th of September for that period and continues till another payment date.

Don't forget to click the link on my signature to register for free that is the only way you can help my ministry. You can also call me. My number is on my signature.

Emma so VGIF at 4.5% p.a int rate is no match for this Abacus right?

Or was the interest repriced at rollover this July?

If you have NIN, download the NIMC app, use your NIN to log in and click on Show My ID.

Screenshot the front, slide your hand on it to show the back and screenshot it.

Edit it yourself or go to a computer center and tell the person to copy the barcode and put it at the back of the card, then they should print it on a plastic ID card. That's what I did and I have a National ID card.

It costs only 500 Naira to print.

you are left to doubt or believe. I said it all planning(eating at home, buying in bulk), economize and cooperative/contribution

Simply itemize what you do attaching monetary figures to them monthly to give an idea of how you were able to build a house with your said salary is difficult for you and you're getting all defensive offensive?
Or God said the formula is a private affair?

It's ok to keep deceiving your self oo but don't think you can easily work it off on a lot of people.

On the long run assets will be repriced. N1 million invested in real estate 40 years ago will beat inflation and currency devaluation

Lagos State sold duplexes for about N50,000 at Gbagada Phase 1 in the 80s.

N1 million will buy 20 units, each is currently valued at about N60 million. 20 units is valued at N1.2 billion, minimum rental income of N40 million or $80,000 per annum

The most important thing is to invest, reinvest and cash should not be more than 10% of your investment portfolio

Ok but that was then. The rate of inflation and naira devaluation was low.

Wondering if we project current inflation rate and speed of devaluation into the future whether the maths above can still hold?
If Naira ever gets to Zimbabwe depreciation levels, can the house really be reasonably priced then?

grin i dont agree with the bolded sha. We get hope pass Venezuela

True we're not the most hopeless set of humans but how are we different from the Venezuelans when we're towing same path their govt did with financial recklessness? Channelling our QE to servicing current spending instead of using same to stimulate targeted sectors of the economy as is done by developed economies? How won't same fate befall us as did Venezuela?

Or maybe cos I detest poverty and hate to be in want so I'm a bit more conservative and investment focused with cash and tend towards aka gum attimes... but we're differen differen so congrats bro and enjoy your life and liberation.
It's obvious you'll do very well in life . All the very best!!!
