Politics › Re: Again: Industrial Court Restrains TUC, NLC, Others From Embarking On Strike by LibertyRep: 9:33pm On Sep 25, 2020
The protest/strike should have been spontaneous as soon as the hike was announced.
Politics › Re: 13 State In Nigeria To Be Taken Over By AMCON And DMO Debt Management Office. by LibertyRep: 9:30pm On Sep 25, 2020
Lagos of all states!

Will AMCOM appoint sole administrators for the states or how will the austerity measures come?

Foreign Affairs › Re: Mali: N’daou, Goita Sworn In As President, VP by LibertyRep: 6:26pm On Sep 25, 2020
I thought ECOWAS insisted that the ousted president must be reinstalled.

Wake up call to the other Africa leaders, when the chips are down, you'll be left to your fate.
Politics › Re: Industrial Court Restrains NLC, TUC from Embarking On Planne September 28 Strike by LibertyRep: 4:01pm On Sep 24, 2020
SmartProf:
Ehen! You must have been the secretary in all their meetings. Can u pls furnish us with the minute of the last meeting?
If they truly wanted to go on strike/protest for the hike in the prices of petrol and power, they do not need to grandstand and procrastinate till the industrial court stops them.
The postponement of the action till next week was just a ploy to buy more time. Now they have an alibi.
Politics › Re: 1st Was Amnesty For Terrorist, Now Its A Rail Line To Niger. Are We Still Blind? by LibertyRep: 3:56pm On Sep 24, 2020
How will the handlers of the president spin this again?
Politics › Re: Edo Election: Punch Newspaper Apologize To Pst Osagie Ize-Iyamu Over Fake News by LibertyRep: 3:51pm On Sep 24, 2020
It's hard to believe this was a genuine mistake.

Good thing they've apologized before the man slams them hefty charges to cover part of his electoral loss.
Politics › Re: Industrial Court Restrains NLC, TUC from Embarking On Planne September 28 Strike by LibertyRep: 3:48pm On Sep 24, 2020
Script well played.
Labour and TUC never meant to go on any strike.
They played us.
Politics › Re: Mr Buhari Should Tell Us What's Special About Niger Republic - Reno Omokri by LibertyRep: 11:23am On Sep 24, 2020
Everyone has an ancestral home.

Just thinking louder.
Politics › Re: BREAKING: Buhari Contravened Law On Judges’ Appointment – Court by LibertyRep: 4:02pm On Sep 23, 2020
Shouldn't the Attorney General have advised him properly?

What about the CJN that sworn in the said judges, is he bereft of the laws too?
Politics › Re: Lagos Bye-election: Obaseki, Wike, Makinde Others Set To Storm Lagos by LibertyRep: 12:12pm On Sep 23, 2020
Na wah o.

They should rather direct their energy towards Ondo.

It doesn't appear PDP has a formidable structure in Lagos.
Politics › Re: Governor Obaseki Has Changed The Name Of The University In Oshiomhole's Village by LibertyRep: 3:18pm On Sep 22, 2020
Maybe he should just wait till the Supreme Court decides before he begins to bare his fangs.

Maybe
Politics › Re: Edo Election: IGP Asks Wike To Leave Edo, Governor Refuses by LibertyRep: 8:04am On Sep 19, 2020
If truly other governors as mentioned by Wike are in Edo state, then this treatment is nothing but intimidation.

The idea of political bigwigs from another state storming a state for election should be stopped forthwith.
Politics › Re: APC Will Be Beaten Silly In Edo, If There Are No Thugs - Governor Wike by LibertyRep: 9:51pm On Sep 17, 2020
Some of us who have no stake at all in Edo can only appeal to the electorates to 'borrow themselves sense'

Another man's ambition shouldn't cost you your life.
Remember Obaseki until a few months ago was an APC governor while Ize-Iyamu was a PDP stalwart.

Use your heads brethrens from another State.

Politics › Re: Buhari Assents To Police Bill 2020 by LibertyRep: 9:09pm On Sep 17, 2020
What the Nigeria Police needs is total overhauling.

Anything short of that is like scratching the surface.

Politics › Re: Segun Showunmi: Lose Akeredolu If You Will, But Do Not Push Ondo To 1983 by LibertyRep: 4:52pm On Sep 17, 2020
Ondo must not go to the dogs. Rotimi Akeredolu, lose if you will, and go in peace, that you may salvage whatever is left of your battered image.

That was a punch.

We do not need to wait for America to sanction perpetrators of electoral violence for us.

It should start from within.
Politics › Re: Sanwo-olu Holds Umbrella For Himself & Ameachi -photo by LibertyRep: 10:15pm On Sep 15, 2020
It's even more comfortable to hold your own umbrella by yourself while walking.
Politics › Re: Nigeria’s Revenue Dropped By 65%, Says Finance Minister by LibertyRep: 2:27pm On Sep 15, 2020
Has that reflected in the cost of governance?

Aren't we still maintaining the ostentatious lives of the politicians?

One would have expected that a country whose revenue has plummeted this much to have significantly cut down the salaries and allowances of these elected and appointed Govt officials.

Hell no! They won't.
They'll rather pass the burden to the poor masses instead of them adjusting to the new realities
Politics › Re: Akpabio Inaugurates Committee To Rejig NDDC by LibertyRep: 7:03am On Sep 14, 2020
So Akpabio is still in the office to even rejig anything.

What about the fainting Prof?

So much for the corruption-fighting regime.

Politics › Re: FG Bans Alcohol In Satchets, Polythene by LibertyRep: 1:09pm On Sep 13, 2020
They'll still have access to it in bigger bottles which may imply higher consumption and perhaps more abuse.

Except consumption in polythene has any other health implications, this move does not make much sense.
Politics › Re: National Assembly Disappointed Nigerians With Silence On Fuel Price Hike – Ogene by LibertyRep: 10:25am On Sep 12, 2020
I do not think they really disappointed anyone with their silence.
No one expected anything different from an assembly that's populated by perceived executive lackeys , whose leaders were handpicked by the very arm they're meant to checkmate.
Politics › Re: UPDATED: Gunmen Attack Abuja Community, Abduct Residents by LibertyRep: 8:28pm On Sep 10, 2020
The suburb and the communities at the fringes are always the soft targets.

Their aim is to displace them and take over their lands.

To even think there was an Intel some days ago makes this more perplexing.

Do we have intelligence gathering at all?
Politics › Re: ‘Trader Moni’ Beneficiaries Unwilling To Repay Loans –NSIP by LibertyRep: 10:32am On Sep 10, 2020

Politics › Re: Edo 2020: Details Of Meeting Between IGP Adamu And Obaseki Emerge by LibertyRep: 2:15pm On Sep 09, 2020
Obaseki's journey to Abuja remains one trip.

He still needs to meet the person on whose hand the remote control of the IGP is firmly placed.
Even after the assurances, he must not sleep with his two eyes closed.

Let's hope the hospital isn't going from bad to worse in the hands of the government.

We have examples of how bad they've managed the state owned institutions.
