PDP Rivers State falling like packs of cards
All lies, let them substantiate the allegation of defection. They are preparing the way to justify why APC should win the forth coming run-off election. APC is equivalent of lie, no passing day without one lie or propaganda to keep the gullible Nigerians busy, arguing and talking. APC will never focus on the real issues. At times, you wonder if the PDP is still the party in power? They talk as if they are the opposition, never taking responsibility but blaming everyone but themselves for the problems in the country.

Ask about the promises they made during the elections, they will remind you that no administration has ever fulfilled their campaign promises and they are only hindered in their delivery due to damage to the economy by the previous govt. Empty, absolutely empty! having nothing to offer but lies and propaganda.

It's so painful, when you have insulted the former office holder calling him all sorts of names and promising Nigerians that you are coming to deliver them from your self-created doom. Now, you are in power, you lose steam and keep blaming everybody but yourself. The nation today is worse off than you met it rather then admit your failings you are busy dealing with perceived enemy who are bold enough to look you in the face and speak the truth.

Now, the world is laughing at us wondering how in the hell in the 21st century we elected a dictator to power. Today, majority of Nigerians are suffering like never before, freedom to speak freely is being restricted, people are harassed and intimated when perceived as opposition. Just in 2014, Nigerians took all this for granted and call the man who gave them all these liberty as clueless and incompetence. I believe now, the mean of these words are coming home.

So sad!!!

My brother, shame dey even catch me and worse still are the numerous Zombies that cut across all strata of the society that defend the mess of this administration despite the obvious lapses. The foundation of APC was built on lies and propaganda, such foundation never last but will consume the initiators, collaborators, the gullible and the bystanders. So Sad that people failed to see the genuine efforts of the last administration to salvage Nigeria from the hands of this very monsters who held our development backward for so many years and treating the country and it's people as conquered rather then equal partners in the Nigeria's project.

Look at the various lapses of this administration, from the unstable policy on foreign exchange to no economics or fiscal direction of this administration to the directionless budget that will spell disaster for this Nation if implemented as is. So sad, we found ourselves in this mess.

Let just continue to pray that we survive this mess called APC in one piece.

With facts and data on ground, whoever says this government is promising is irredeemably deluded. Is 8+ months not a enough time for us to start seeing some rays of hope? Instead, things are going worse than they met them - receding economy; regional balkanization; despotic democracy; tactless, unprepared,trial-and-error, and unschooled leadership without multi-tasking competence; government of official terrorism, intolerance, propaganda, lies, deceit, vendetta and barbarism. They are eager to take credit for all the good things started by the previous administration which are paying off now but would blame the past administration for the ugly results of their crass incompetence in office now. It's quite unfortunate that amidst all these, their(APC) fanatical fans don't even raise an eyebrow.

APC has successfully created zombies. They will never use their brain but like towncriers of the old, keep shouting the words handed to them by their masters. No need to think, just say, sai baba...sai baba..sai baba and sai baba if you see baba picture anywhere just keep shouting it sai baba...sai baba.

What's in the picture that is special? All leaders around the world attend conferences and this is not different. What should be your concern is the impact of his attending this conference to Nigeria; has he struck new deals that will result in billions of investments in the oil and gas sector; are we building new alliances or the resolution of the conference will help to shore up oil prices.

This is what's expected of a conscious and educated nigerians not to be hailing without reason. The elections are over and everyone must come together for Nigeria to succeed. Let forget APC and PDP now and work for Nigeria with Buhari leading.

You little essay remains meaningless to me and Like I said, God didn't answer your evil prayers for GEJ to remain in office for obvious reasons like the sad and shameful episode we are discussing here.

Nigerians kicked GEJ/Your crooked, corrupt and incompetent hero out of office and with what we read everyday especially about how he stole our money and gave it to Dasuki to share with his cronies while our fellow country folks including our men and women in uniform needlessly perished on the battlefield because of lust for power, greed, corruption and incompetence..

You are a reflection of what's bad, odious and destructive about Nigeria
Great mind discuss issues while fiddle minds discuss people. I hope you could at least discuss intelligently but unfortunately, I overrated you. Jonathan is history as it concern being president and get that to you block head by facing reality. Nothing can change history because it's is the past and will remain there.

You obviously in your warped mind is the reflection of the good in Nigeria; no wonder Nigeria is the way it's today. I feel pity for you. You need education and the earlier your realized this.... By the way, Tompolo is playing with fire this time around. With the way the Nigerian military is being re-armed and re-trained, two new Army divisions in Borno and Niger Delta, his days are very much numbered.

He is not fighting for Niger Deltans but for his 13Billion yams.
My friend, you are the one that needs to re-examine yourself. This is the most unfocused and vision-less govt in the history of Nigeria. Playing on the ignorance of Nigerians, they feed us with sensational news filled with lies and made up stories because they know that is what appeal to our fancy. Every Nigerian wants to believe that the reason for his/her suffering is their neighbor; never in themselves.

The accused is never given the opportunity to state their side of the story. Only a one sided approach by the EFCC. EFCC is the accuser, speaks on behalf of the accused, pronounced the accused guilty, release evidence and investigative information to the press to malign the accused. This is most unprofessional.

The judiciary is put in a very tight corner due to public perception to convict the accused even if the evidence provided doesn't support the conviction. Media trial is what they have been doing; if they have solid evidence to convict let the EFCC take them to court. Where the accused and the accuser are given ample opportunity to state their own side of the case. It is interesting to expect me to confuse efforts with success. I am not comparing one administration with the other, rather I'm comparing spending with what other governments in different countries spend to achieve result.
If the administration achieved successes in power reform, please measure success with the set targets. Check the Power Reform Agenda of the Jonathan administration which set the existing megawatts at 4,500 as of 2011 and left it at substantially less when he left office. I read the agenda with high hopes and I was hugely disappointed when it failed due to poor leadership.
By way of comparison, Ethiopia got about $350m loan to improve its road infrastructure and within a similar period succeeded in increasing its road stock from 26000km to about 99000km. Are we not the same humans?
If the tireless effort on rail will only allow us travel from Lagos to Ilorin spending 11 hours for journey of about 300 km then we are in soup. By way of comparison, a journey from London to Manchester which is a slightly longer distance takes about 2hr 30mins. Why settle for less?

It's interesting how surreal and transcendental the concept of good governance is to many Nigerians. Most of our youth seem to be satisfied with tokens and half measures given by successive governments in the name of serving the people.
I have not, in all my responses praised the current government; yet you see comments calling anyone that criticizes the last administration an APC apologist. My view, anyone that praises Jonathan as a good leader is a masochist that needs psychiatric help. That person, who probably cannot afford 3 square meals, has no good job and lacks the basic needs of life and still praises the last administration to high heavens needs to take a hard look at his/her life.
Don't get me wrong, I desperately wanted Jonathan to do well when he came into office, most especially because a performing President from the Minority would really cement the unity of this country, just as Gowon had the diligence and good fortune of building the most enduring legacies among the founding leaders of this country. Jonathan blew it and no amount of revisionism can erase that. If roads were built, we would have seen it. If he improved electric power we would have seen it, if he performed even averagely on railways the Apapa traffic gridlock would have been a thing of the past. You only deceive yourself when you put stones in the pot and claim to be cooking yam.
Just as well, I want this government to do well and I've set timelines for my expectations. I will criticize it if they don't perform within a realistic time and I think they are on track. I pay taxes regularly and I have a right to expect service. Perhaps those that do not see any wrong in a bad government should start from the basic payment of taxes and let's see if they'd still tolerate incompetence.
A very nice write up but we still remain at the same spot. Our Lord Jesus Christ knew this error of judgement that was why He admonished us never to judge anyone and went further to state that the same standard will apply to others shall be apply to us.

The big question is by what standard are you judging the previous administration? In all fariness, if given the same circumstance will you agree that that same standard be applied to you? We react to issues based on the level of information available to us and our own perception which may atimes be inaccurate or insufficient. In my comment, I limited myself to facts and statements that are verifiable.

You talked about power, roads, traffic gridlock in Apapa, just to highlight the major ones that if the previous administration has done anything you will have noticed, thus, your not noticing means that nothing was done. Nothing is more subjective than this but let put the facts on the table and I need you to cross check and disapprove with facts:

1. GEJ administration build more power plants than any other govt in the history of this country. Investment in that sector was equally massive. The improvement in power today is solely the effort of previous administration.
2. We have more motorable roads in GEJ administration than any other administration.
3. The Apapa gridlock is hydra-headed and not the makiing of GEJ but failure due to lack of planning. Find out the road was reconstructed during GEJ tenure but obviously that won't solve the problem which is the congestion of the port and the over centralisation of port activiies to Lagos alone. Please find out the reason for the gridlock? Let me state GEJ will also share part of the blame.
4. On the railway, it's sad that you failed to appreciate the tireless effort to reactivate our railway system and add new standard guage tracks and build the Abuja metroline. Please, tell us which administration has done this much for our railway? Don't forget, GEJ met the railway infrastructure in a comatose state, i.e. dead. If other administrations have done this much, the whole of Nigeria would have been connected by rail tracks.
5. Do you want me to talk about Agriculture or the electoral reforms and the improvement in that system or the reviving of the dead automobile industry in Nigeria - today we have more than 12 companies manufacturing various types of automobiles or you want to hear about how he revived the dead oversee scholarship scheme that was designed to provide high skilled Nigerians to pilot the affair of this Nation in the future or the entreprenuer schemes of Youwin, agroprenuer, etc that empowered various youths across the country. So much for a man that was alleged that did nothing. God is indeed watching. For you, you need to refute this claims with facts and figures.
I take you again to the bible, it's not by error that it was stated that you test all spirits in your quest for righteousness and truth. Truth will not fall on your laps because you desire it but you must seek for it and make conscious effort to attain it with all the resources at your disposal. Judge everyone rightly based on facts not hearsay and if in doubt please keep your opinion to yourself. May God help us all.

The writer must be insensitive to allege that 25k km was done by GEJ based on fabricated quotes. He should as a journalist be more investigative and list out the roads! If at all, none of the meagre successes of GEJ can justify the amount of theft and cluelessness of that govt. Please the writer should deal with that.
Using subsidy removal as an example, the argument now is different from those of 4 yrs ago. Now, it is glaring that with the fall in oil prices, removal of subsidy would not hurt the populace.
In the 2012 scenario, the argument was that removal would create money to fund infrastructure with the creation of SUREP. Please show us the infrastructure financed with the 50% removal (remember, subsidy was partly removed) other than private constructions by the subsidy thieves and their acolytes including Thisday journalists like the writer of the editorial. Don't also forget the manner of the removal; crude was selling at record high yet those that travelled to villages were left stranded as a result of sudden price changes.
Anything under the sun can be alleged and doesn't make it true either. I strongly believe like the popular saying goes when you want to hide something from a black man just put it in a book. If this is your deduction after reading this post then it's either you are completely blinded by prejudices or you never read it or you find it very difficult to understand the write up.you must learn to separate facts from friction. APC is a party of contradiction and it beat me silly when they remain the source of authentic information for some Nigerians.

The following from APC:

1. Jonathan spent six years in power. Same APC in different fora he spent 5years.
2. Jonathan did nothing in office for five years. Same APC, lots of roads constructed and many in different stages of completion (Fashola). I never knew trains were working in Nigeria (Ameachi). so many ongoing projects in the transmission sector and some are almost completed while others are in varying degrees of completion (Fashola). I met empty treasury
3. Subsidy is a scam and fraud. Same APC now in govt, paying half a trillion in subsidy.
4. The presidential fleet is too large, we will sell off most of the aircraft and leave just two. Same APC, using the same numbers of aircraft with a higher maintenance cost.

I can go on and on but the point is this cross check whatever information you get and never spread such until you get the facts.

Careless wish

Your wishes are always good but action bad.

Sir please stop wishing because you were given the chance to change this nation but your action spoilt everything more

Sometime I just wish you keep quiet and just let's nigeria be.

Your wish are what I will call sweet mouth, then your action bomb.

You disappointed nigeria,not only that

You disappointed south south including Niger delta where I came from...to make matter worst

You disappointed your brothers from bayelsa

Mr ex president, personally am seek and tired of your wish, when you came in,i thought we will see light not knowing you re leading us to a more darkness....God will never forgive you for the life that went down due to the sake of your recklessness.
When you are ignorant, it always shows in your attack on personalities and never the issues. You may have witnessed the last administration but your comment reflects your total loss of touch in the actual happening during his regime. What then will you tell future generation when they ask about Jonathan's rule; empty phases with lies and propaganda fed you by his adversaries and you expect your adversaries to say nice things about you. My brother wake up from your delusion and awake to reality. Those who accused Jonathan today are worse offended of the same crime

Consequences of the actions of Mr. Dasuki.

1. Unnecessary death of soldiers
2. Death of thousands and rape and kidnap of girls.
3. Thousands of IDP

2016 will not be favorable for anyone who wishes Dasuki should enjoy his bail.
Take him to trail before judging him. He has a right to fair hearing. Whatever is being alleged remain what they are accusations until proven in a law court. Media trail is wrong because the accused is convicted even before the trail.

Since our judiciary system is as corrupt as NPF, I think PMB his in better position to take over till there is a better reform in our legal sector. Era of looting Billion and buy the legal system with just 3 Million is over, Lucky Igbinedion case is a clear example. Make both Dasuki and Kanu enjoy small for inside Inbox.
I laugh in Spanish! Let be careful what will permit on the basis of necessity it may surely come back to hunt us. Power corrupt and absolute power corrupt absolutely! The need for separation of powers and independent of the three arms of govt is to check abuse and anyone supporting the President really need to seek guidance in history.
