PoliticsRe: Presidency Denies Rift Between Buhari, Tinubu by light004: 9:22am On Jul 13, 2015
It's so unfortunate that most Nigerians failed to see through this party of liars and propagandists. The signs were everywhere to see but we failed to acknowledge the obvious and here we are now. Excuses upon excuses that is what we keep hearing and they can't offer anything different because that is their makeup; it's in their gene. See some few issues:

Qtn: Why has the govt failed to appoint ministers?

Ans: The past govt didn't submit handover notes on time.

Qtn: Now that the handover notes have been submitted what is now delaying the appointment of ministers?

Ans: The revelation in the report is shocking and the govt will need more time to study the report before going ahead with appointing minister.

Qtn: It's over 6 weeks now and no key govt appointments have been made. is the govt not too slow?

Ans: The rot left behind by the previous administration is so deep that the president is trying to clear the mess before appointing his ministers.

If you still believe the lies from APC then you need to examine yourself carefully. If this is not a sign of lack of direction and clueless then I don't know what it's? IT's painful that the open lies of the party is not evidence for all to see. Let everyman carry his cross.

PoliticsRe: Why I regret campaigning for Change- Opinion by light004: 11:47am On Jul 10, 2015
I really do not share in all your views. Some I reckon with but others I have a strong reservation. I think the idea that one man is what is wrong with Nigeria is totally false and also one man has the magic wand to solve all the problems is also a fallacy. The challenges in Nigeria are deep and they are both internal and external. We need to solve the internal before we move to solve the external.

The internal has to do with the people both the leaders and the followers. The leaders do what they do because the followers are docile and uninterested in the affairs of their nation so far their momentary needs are met. While the leaders understanding this exploit it to their benefits.

It was easy for the APC to ride to power because they understand the psyche of an average Nigeria. Filled with sentiments and hate, the average follower can be easily manipulated so far what he is hearing accords with his sentiment not minding the facts or reality. It's obviously with the bogus promises of the APC that they don't have a concrete plan for the Nation. Unachievable promises were made and yet no one questioned the ration or the logic we just believed and today the reality has set in. Empty treasury, I'm not a miracle worker, our party manifesto is not the bible or Quran and so can be changed, etc. A corrupt politician is celebrated in his community and protest organized to call for stoppage of his prosecution without due process to determine whether he is guilty or not and yet we demand a better Nigeria from our leaders. We must first purge ourselves of the poor mentally and orientation that just wants to grab everything without giving or service. We need to blame ourselves not the leaders because they are a reflection of us.

Nigeria will be great again whether as a single entity or dismembered entities but one thing stand no real development without the active participation of the people not just the leaders.

But we are watching them patiently to see how everything will pan out. It will be criminal and wicked on the part of any state Governor to appropriate the bailout funds other than the payment of workers' salary.
Fayose is right. The money belongs to the federation and not the fed. govt like APC is saying. It can not be a bailout fund but an allocation from the federation account. The APC govt said they want to do things according to the law and not act arbitrarily like previous administration and so, the law states that all monies collected must be put into the federation account and shared on an agreed basis between the fed. govt, federating units and local govet.

There are lots of work that need to be done. We easily forget history. Exactly what happened during the Yar adua govt that virtually every thing stopped in govt to probe and review this or that and at the end Nigeria was worse off. The President needs to hit the ground running, there is no time for all this time wasting probes that yield no tangible result at the end. Nigeria is drifting and the govt needs to take charge and start moving the country in the right direction to foster a more serious problems.

The problem with Amaechi is that he talks too much and obviously have opened the door for these close scrutiny. Toward the end of his administration he made bold statements about the affair of the state that Wike will find it very difficult to run the state because of the poor finances and he forgot that he Amaechi was at the helm of affair and questions must be asked. A state that received over N2trillion was left bankrupt after his administration.

Obviously Buhari can't be responsible for the state of the refineries in this short time but something definitely is not right. An independent investigation to tell Nigerians when the refineries were fixed and why they weren't used will help. Something obviously isn't right.
PoliticsRe: Why We Can’t Release Details Of Buhari, Osinbajo’s Assets – Code Of Conduct by light004: 11:49am On Jun 20, 2015
mu2sa2:
Buhari has never said at any time that he is poor. What he said at the time he got the nomination form was that he did not have 27 million cash, so he had to borrow to buy the form. lnfact Buhari is not a poor man, not with his pension and modest farm. He generates income from his farm and 150 cows. The only problem with the people attributing unsubstantiated wealth to Buhari is that they're judging him by their own standard- they assume that if they had the opportunity like Buhari has had to be in various public offices, they would have stolen billions- but these criminal-minded fellows know that Buhari has never been a thief.
Can we stop defending Buhari and allow him to do that himself. He made the promise to Nigerians to declare his assets; don't give excuses for him let wait until after the 100days. Buhari painted the picture of himself as a man with limited resources which obviously cannot be true of a man of his statue in a country like Nigeria. Do your investigation and allow Buhari to prove to Nigerians that indeed he is poor like he campaigned.

Please read your post again. You are really a funny guy. if you want to accept a job, you must be fit both mentally and physically for the job and cannot after a few weeks of acceptting the job that your age will be an hindrance to your performance. The big question is: is Buhari just realizing that his age will affect his performance in office? I don't think so because it was a major issue during the election.

stop defending the indefensible! he should have been truthful during his campaign that his age will negatively impact on his performance in office not after winning the election.

PoliticsRe: Legal Proof That Stealing Is Different From Corruption. by light004: 3:57am On Jun 14, 2015
TheGoodJoe:
This has nothing to do with APC. Stealing is a corrupt act. It is a dishonest act for personal gain. GEJ saying opposite was wrong.
Stealing in law is not a corrupt act. For any act to be corrupt, the doer must have a legal authority that he/she abused for personal favour while stealing is totally different. Stealing involves the illegitimate dispossession of someone else property but the doer in this case doesn't have any legal authority. Where there is a legal authority in the case of govt officials then the case move from stealing to a corrupt act. There is a thin line but the different is in the one possessing legal authority and also corruption can take many forms including dispossession of a third party property, ghost workers, abuse of recruitment process, contract inflation, bribing a police officer, etc.

Don't get them confused as one. When one with authority uses the power conferred on them to steal money then that action is a corrupt act but when one without authority steal money then that act is stealing. For example, a bank manager steals money from his branch that is corruption while a bank robber is a thief and will be charge for stealing. I think this clarifies. Please, this is the legal position which is the reality.
PoliticsRe: Legal Proof That Stealing Is Different From Corruption. by light004: 3:40am On Jun 14, 2015
Stealing and corruption can never be the same. Stealing is taking possession of valuable item/s that one doesn't have legal right to while corruption simply mean abuse of power which can be in different forms but the essence is in the abuse of authority. Are these term the same? Obviously not, stealing is a particular act that involves the dispossession of another of his right to his property/ies while corruption involve the use of legitimate authority to gain personal advantage. I beg let educate ourselves and free our mind of the shackles of chains holding us down and think like free people.
