luckylucky:Where you learn your own economic from? Na wa oooo, so to solve our problem is to remove the higher denomination of the Naira and it'll affect the rich and the economy will turn around for the better. Truly, we need education because ignorance is destroying whatever is left of Nigeria. Where did you get this joke of an idea. Please stop spreading this rubbish. |
dammytosh:You are simply ignorant. It's wrong not to acknowledge the sacrifice of our soldiers despite the circumstance which that ugly incident occurred. Declaring a mourning period, flying our flags at half mast and similar actions communicate strongly to our soldiers that the government and people care and appreciate their sacrifice. To maintain silence as if nothing happened is callous and wicked. Our support should not be one-sided or blinded by prejudice. The elections are over and we must come together and work for Nigeria. My brother, evil is evil irrespective of who perpetrated it. Blind loyal is the worse form of hypocrisy. Beware and be on the right part of history for the time will come when the accounts of today will be read out to future generations. I hope you will be bold enough to affirm you convictions then. |
PassingShot:Surely time shall tell. It amazes me how people came to the conclusion that in 16years PDP achieved nothing and have the gut to call the years wasted. We need to be careful because by the measure you judge, the same shall be applied to you. Let examine critically if truly the last 16years were wasted and to do that we need a benchmark which is the last 16year preceding 1999 before the advent of our current democratic dispensation. Please, let do a critical review of all major achievements in 1983 - 1999 and compare with that of 1999 - 2015. Then if you come back with the same view after an objective assessment than I will accept your claim. I think, not putting history in the right perspective is responsible for most of these misconceptions and the earlier we start appreciating little successes, the better for our nation. Most people are too young or not born in those periods to appreciate the event of today but that's not an excuse. Records and books are kept for this reason. Take your time to learn about your history before making bold statements. PDP may not have been the best but an angel if you compare them with where we are coming from. You can take that to the bank. I believe they should have done better and fight corruption better but a blanket saying that nothing happened is simply a fallacy of the mind. |
TRUTHTOPOWER:I really don't understand how we reason; Why did you vote PDP out? Is it for APC to continue with the same level of impunity that you condemn the PDP for. I am really sick of this gutter reasoning. Apc rose to power on the basis that they want to do things differently from the corrupt past and yet consistently, they repeat the same atrocious acts they condemn the PDP for. That to me is the height of hypocrisy. A man is corrupt irrespective of the party affiliations and he should be condemned. Elections are over and we must start reasoning objectively. You are shouting change and yet, no job, no food, no light, no water, no good school and the only reason given by your scam govt is that the previous govt didn't leave any thing behind and you believe. You just wasted your time in school, simply. |
sammyj:Na wash! Don't be deceived it's just a paid advert. Journalism world over has been compromised. Nigeria is going down under Mr integrity, he needs to wake up and start fixing issues rather than keep shouting corruption, corruption, corruption and corruption. SHAME!!! Not one election promises has been fulfilled despite his well publised 100days convenent with Nigerians that he shamefully disowned. We are watching!!!! |
carrrterrs:Someday, you live to know the truth and appreciate his efforts despite the difficult circumstances he had to work under. |
lolaxavier:The writer is just simply mean and very callous. The woman has neither been charged to court or found gulity of any offence. It's sad when those who should know better spread hearsay as truth. This woman is sick and she needs our compassion at this moment of time not condemnation for offences that may end up not to be true. Sad! The writer should go and sort his life and leave Diezani to heal. If there are charges, let the appropriate authority use the judicial process to get justice. The writer is only speculating nothing of substance in his entire write up and justice is never gotten on social media. He will meet with his own waterloo. |
mrvitalis:The earlier you realised that the elections are over the better for you. Government needs a viable opposition and vigilant citizens to succeed and it's an important ingredient in any democracy. If you don't question govt actions and criticise wrong actions then you have no right to complain when the govt fails. Governance is a collective effort and not left to the ruling party alone. Wake up from your delusion and face reality; the opposition will not go away. sycophancy destroy democracy but genuine and objective criticisms build it. |
ALVA001:Defend anything irrespective who is the guity party is very dangerous. you should never lose objectivity on the face of partisan politics or any other parochial sentiments. It's unfortunate when you read post of this nature; certainly, one just wonder what happened to our upbringing. we lost our values and lost direction |
Koleman:The truth needs no defender because it's sacred. It's external and unchangeable. You can't proffer one thing and carry out the exact opposite, Such is known as hypocrisy. You are quick to insult but in your own very words, you expose your sycophantic nature. The president promised a lean govt, promised to cut cost and eliminate waste and even sell some of the aircrafts on the presidential fleet and you are here condemning those who are bold enough to point out the truth. If you have any honor, you will join them to remind the president of his promises rather than defend hypocrisy. Please take off your silly and illogical example, it's annoying. Won't you rent another property if you can't afford the one left by your father. Please, grow up! Sad, how lack of proper education and good moral upbringing has destroyed our nation. |
CeenoEvu:And how is Femi Adesina performing now? You need to appreciate the circumstance these guys are working before criticizing them. Not as simple as it seems! |
DrownedFish:This is the worst National Assembly since 1999. No show of legislative independence. Is the legislature not a different arm of government? They must not follow in the dictate of the excutive. APC is just a party of jokers and mediocrities. No serious legislative activity since inauguration. Nigerians have been scammed by a bunch of political thugs in the name of change. I hope we are wiser next time. Sham!!! |
If Jonathan was still the President, all hell would have let loose and insults from all corners especially, from social media. This is the change you asked for and you have gotten. With the kind of campaign ran by the APC, I thought by now Nigeria would have been transformed and most of our problems gone but most unfortunately, APC has only compounded the problems they met and continued with their campaign of lies and propaganda. Blaming PDP for everything and forgetting that the elections are over. I hope they wake up soon to their responsibilities and face governance and start solving the problems for which they were elected. |
divinehand2003:Though it's painful but it's the truth. We don't have to fight him but reflect on what he has said. We need to examine his words and not insult him like we usually do |
ManTiger:Please, read your comment again and see if it offers anything tangible or rather if it made any sense. You are in a public space, decorum is expected not insulting others and throwing tantrums. It only reveals your emptiness and shallowness. Get it right, every company in the oil sector all over the world is facing a similar challenge of significant drop in oil price and Nigeria is not left out. Making super profit on oil subsidy can never be Jonathan's fault; he saw the rot and took the bold step to remove it but Nigerians took to the streets for it to be re-instated. No matter how it adds up, subsidy doesn't just make any sense. You subsidy production and not consumption which in turn create jobs and wealth for the nation and its people. And calling Jonathan a dullard, I totally disagree with you. I don't know who is a dullard between a man that calls for bloodshed when he lost an election and one who without compulsion relinquish power for peace despite obvious irregularities and having the power to upturn the election. It takes great wisdom to sacrifice self for the good of others. Shallow mind think of self. please learn proper manners. |
veraponpo:Stop turning history on its head. Igbos were never given free 20pound but given 20pound irrespective of their bank balances. please get your facts right. On Jonathan, time will tell. |
timunstopable:You are making no sense at all. What's going on around you now is what? Indiscriminate arrest and detention by DSS is what?; nominating corrupt persons for minsterial appointment is what? Appointing people from your zone to key govt appointments is what? Have a relation as acting INEC chairperson is what? you can say these fool things to the uninformed and not to those who are informed. Stella Oduah, diezani, okonjo and the rest are corrupt but fashola, Ameachi, fayemi, tinubu, aregbesola and the rest are clean and people of integrity. keep on fooling yourself, soon the wool covering your eyes will be lifted and you come face to face with the truth. i'm tire of reading trash of this nature. tell us in all honesty what has changed? |
ISpiksDaTroof:Please speak for yourself and your likes. Millions all over Nigeria, Africa and the world appreciate Mr Jonathan; so, you and your likes are so inconsequential. It takes a great mind to apreciate one and no need for anyone to force you, it just tells who you are. |
Intendy:Since you know what cluelessness means. Can you help us define it. i hope people can stop displaying their ignorance in the open. Let have a profile of you and compare if you have attain in your entire life a tenth of what GEJ has attained and you dare say he's clueless. You with all the clues in the world, can you show us what you have achieved in your lifetime. Sort your life, GEJ has made a name for himself no matter how hard you try he remains a former president of this great nation. |
[quote author=oz4real83 post=39134783]Yes o! They are all eager to physically see the man who supervised the looting of this nation to stupor. They want to see the man who watched while over 276 chibok girls were kidnapped. They want to see a man who said America will know if 20billion dollars was stolen in Nigeria. The want to see the man who said stealing isn't corruption. They want to see the man who said there is no poverty in Nigeria because Nigerians have the most private jets in Africa. They want to see the man who granted presidential pardon to an unrepentant convicted criminal. They want to see the only president who reliquished his authority to women especially his wife and female ministers. They want to see the man who watched while polytechnics went on strike for almost a year! They want to see the man who failed to build a refinery for 6years despite the availabilty of sure-p funds. They want to see the man who gave opportunities for common criminals and drug barons to become billionaires in this country. If I were a tazanian and have heard so much atrocities committed by just one man,I will be very eager to see that person with my two eyes, not to praise him but to ask him the sins the people committed to warrant such actions!!
