dotfam2104:He made promises that are tantamount to miracles and people questioned the rational behind some of those promises but the party came out to defend them. It's a big shame if those promises are not fulfilled as stated during the campaign. That'll amount to falsehood and deception but let be watchful |
themilanway:Sincerely, we need to be honest with ourselves. APC campaign promises must be fulfilled as they promised them, no excuses. It's not hypocrisy but a thing of honor. Their words must mean something, if not how are they different from the accused(pdp). Their words should be their bond and any excuse like what the General is saying is after the facts, he should have known this before all the promises except he campaigned just to win the election and deceived the people. Such a person lacks integrity. |
Ilekeh:Recipe for disaster. He's now president of Nigeria and every part of the country is his constituency. |
Are we not tired of all these insults and fights. Apc this and pdp that? I beg let move forward and build a better Nigeria. Buhari is the front man now, make him lead us well. That all!!! |
Give her time, she is till hurting and needs time to heal. Talk about it openly and engage her in open discussion. This helps to put the issue in proper perspective and she may heal faster. She needs to understand you are not a substitute but a completely different person from her ex. All the best bro. If you love stay in there but let her go if that is her wish, never force a relationship with an unwilling partner. |
JackBaueress1:What amazes me is the fact that we all think that corruption was at its highest in the administration. Well, we may never know until the same searchlight and scrutiny that applied to this govt also apply to previous governments. It's a good development that information about fed. govt activities including spending are in the open for all to scrutinize and want to believe it will continue with the new administration. |
SuperSuave:. It would have been better to read before making your comment. Sometime, headlines are made to be very catchy but do not reflect the articles in its entirety. It spoke the truth and well meaning advise to the president-elect for him to success. For the change to occur Buhari alone can not do it everyone must join him and he must be able to carry everyone along the change journey not just party loyalists. |
If this is true then it's most unfortunate. No one should be discriminated against because of his political party affiliations and going to the extend of terminating an appointment of over ten years is so wrong. I still maintain a lot of egos have been bruised during this elections and politicians in both divide should come together to heal open wounds and the nation. We must pull together as a nation to make any meaningful progress. Yes, there are winners and losers in every election but invariably, we Nigerians including the losers are the ultimate winners. Why do I say this? Simple, if we elect a performing government that transform the country with lots of Jobs, adequate security, good health, modern infrastructure and other amenities even the losers will benefit and everyone will be happy. Seeing elections like a battlefield that the perceived foes should be destroyed will ultimately destroy Nigeria. The fight we often engage in is not necessary rather let work to solve our mutual problems and challenges. |
I think Buhari should stay with his campaign promises and be focused. Obviously, all the promises will not be actualized in one year but the progress made will give confident of things to expect. Making comments of this nature is truly disheartening and not expect from a party that won elections based on those promises. The promises are achievable even though they seem very bogus but with the right approach and sincerity from the government and support of the people they will be achieved. let support the govt to make the Nation great. |
kennygee:Stupidity truly has no cure and you really need to help yourself. I could write a volume to explain the intricacies but it won't change anything. You have limited your understanding and needs to free your mind. $20billion can't be missing in such a short period of time without serious negative impact on the Economy. No sensible person will take a CBN governor seriously considering his access to reliable information to come up with different figures at various instances on the same issue. It's a shame and more shameful are the gullible ones that help him to repeat his lies like you. please educate yourself |
tp10:Ignorance breeds foolishness. Is it possible for a man to know everything happening in his home not to talk of an entire Nation? we are waiting to see what your Buhari will offer. Stupid idiots!!!!! just making useless comment without an iota of common sense. Calling a President clueless is very irresponsible. Tell me what in your life have you successfully managed and you open your dirty mouth to insult the President of an entire Nation. Let see if your Buhari will tolerate this kind of nonsense. Time will tell. Rubbish! |
englishmart:Do you think your vote got him in in the first place. Please stop disturbing yourself. Buhari must perform based on his promises, no excuses. weather one chance or not baba must deliver. please bro, elections no mean anything for Naija, na higher bidder dey carry the day. |
ALISMILE:I'm certain you didn't read the report and again, if you did, you lack the capacity to understand the depth of the report. GEJ didn't fail you but a system put in place by those you blindly follow that promised you change. They enacted the laws that established the NNPC not GEJ. They blocked the passage of the PIB that will improve accountability, probity and transparency in NNPC. Ignorance is killing us in the country and may lead us to our destruction. |
politricks:your stupidity knows no bound. I'm very sure you don't have knowledge how things work in the organized sector neither have you read the report of the audit but as usual empty skull make the loudest noise. Please educate yourself before commenting in public. Let a similar audit be extended to Obasanjo's regime or any other regime if similar issues will not come up. Ignorance truly is the worse form of disease. We have a system problem, our processes and laws are not in tune with reality leading to these lapses. No massive fraud has been unearthed by this investigation as anticipated but recommendations made on how to improve on how the corporation is run. please always learn to read before making disparaging comments. You are truly the myopic one. |
obailala:Assumptions. That's all you have said. No one is sure that any $20billion is missing and so, what are they trying to recover. Secondly, even if such is missing two different independent probes have been conducted and nothing of such was discovered why do you think it'll be different this time. I think, it may lead to wild goose chase that will benefit no one. Nigeria is faced with numerous challenges that need immediate attention of the President that acting to unravel the mystery behind an unproven allegation. Politicians with evil intent will surely hijack probes of this nature to score cheap political points while distracting the government of the day from the urgent business of governance. He is free to investigate if he want but my candid advice is to set up committee to review the submitted reports from the previous probes and determine the need for further investigations or refund or drop the issue in its entirety. |
He went to six African countries to thank them for their support in pushing out Jonathan and you expect them to be unhappy and feel sorry that Jonathan lost. Old man go n take a back sit and enjoy your retirement. Your conduct is quite shameful. Don't think your role in the emergence of Buhari is hidden, the world will know the true story some day. |
stronger:Stupidity doesn't have a cure. Someone of you insulting the president may never attain his position in your lifetime. |
babs01:Responsibility for what? Ignorance is really affecting majority of our people. There is something known as supplementary budget that the incoming president can send to the National assembly for approval. Can we stop displaying our ignorance in public. |
Very interesting comments! Nigerians stop fighting one another; we have a common enemy and the problem that affect one affects all. You need to see yourselves as brothers and not enemies. The elections have come and gone; a winner has been declared and the loser has graciously conceded defeat. Let move forward despite the imperfection in the elections. No one can love Nigeria more than Nigerians, don't be deceived. All this infighting will add no value to this great Nation. Let sheath our sword and work together with the incoming administration to build Nigeria. Yes, the events that happened in the outgoing administration have left deep pain in the heart of many but we must learn to put them aside and forgive for us to move forward. At times, it's not wise to pay back like for like. Buhari's success is Nigeria's success and not Buhari. The western world are always happy to sow seeds of discord and nurture it to hinder cooperation that will lead to sustainable development and progress. we must stop this divisive tendencies or perish like fools. Working together rather than on cross purposes is the only way to go. God help us! |
jcflex:Ignorance is truly a disease and only the effort of the self can cure it. Oga, first review thoroughly the list of amendments to the constitution and his reasons for objections. After then you can comment meaningfully. You really need an education |
EdCure:You are the one that needs the enlightenment. Am sure you never took into consideration the personal disposition of the individual. Which is a major factor; the president can be over bearing with the enormous power granted by the constitution. A case in point is OBJ. His list of atrocities are endless; kangaroo impeachment, unlawful arrest, kidnap of a sitting governor, etc. and Buhari has a similar tendency to OBJ or do you doubt that. |
smoothlips:Please educate them. Educated ignorant Nigerians are our greatest problem in this country. They are full of assumption never ready or willing to take the task to investigate and study before coming to public fora to make lousy comment. |
midolian:A flawed elections you mean. Fake people that can't reason beyond their nose. |
EdCure:I'm sure you haven't read the amendments and the reasons for his rejection. You should make comments from an informed position. You openly expressed your ignorance here. Next time read and understand before making senseless and out of points comment |
I think, it's natural after a defeat to feel a sense of loss and emptiness. Our comments should be guided by the fact that time heal old wounds even the pain of this elections will come to a past someday; so let be mindful of our utterances. The victor should always be gracious in victory and embrace all concerns. Buhari needs the support of all including the folks in the SE/SS to succeed and everyone must come together to support in this quest. Most comments here have been quite careless not minding that for Nigeria to remain one entity, we all must pull together and divisive tendencies will destroy and not build this Nation. I will not subscribe to name calling or insulting any section of the country but see how this wounds will heal as soon as possible. The SS is an integral part of the Nigeria federation and to denial the fact that their son was unfairly treated when he ruled despite his shortcomings is a white lie. So, what's important is how to heal wounds on all sides even in the North people are hurting; they have lost loved ones, their communities have been destroyed, their means of livelihood destroyed. Let do away with hateful speeches and comments, the time now is to pull together to salvage Nigeria for all. let sheath the sword and embrace one another in brotherhood bonded by destiny and a common history. |
Without any evidence to the contrary, I think folarin statement should be believed. The first purported statement on the issue sounded more from the moon and political dangerous to contemplate such but in Nigeria anything is possible. Examining the issue critical I believe him more than the earlier story because such action is detrimental to his political career. In this age of social media news travels faster than speed of light |
skak:Jega was seriously compromised. The elections just a sham and not a true reflection of the peoples wishes. Rigging was the order of the day through out the country. The presidential was a written script. Jega truly disappointed for not conducting a free and fair election and siding with a party to win the election. The aftermath of the elections speaks volumes. |
It's so unfortunate how this issue has degenerated to this low level. What will this altercations benefit us and our Nation. What a shame on both sides but most annoying are the statements and comments from the Yoruba groups and elite. They know more and should address this sensitive issue with lots of maturity and tact. Most comments are borne out of sheer ignorance because Nigeria is a Nation and all its citizens are free to live in any part of the country; free from prejudice or discrimination. It's sad that such a grave statement could be made by a highly respected Oba and all should come together to condemn such and disassociate oneself because of it potential to set the nation ablaze. Trying to justify it is definitely a recipe for anarchy. |
Thank you Mr President, you will forever be remembered for your humility and good nature. Don't worry, we that know you know that they lied about you to poison our hearts and we will not change. Please keep calm and continue to be yourself the Lord is fully in charged. Thank you once more |
Ironi:You are really an idiot for that comment. Fools!! After leaving the shore of this country you now think you are wiser. What do you do abroad? You come here and say all sort of rubbish. That we just procreate and increase our population like rabbits. You are just an idiot. If you don't have facts, why don't you keep your dirty mouth shut. Fool. Why hasn't the US wipe out the taliban, Isis, insurgents in Iraq, libya, etc. Fools!!!!! These guys are so annoying. |
ALISMILE:It's you that is obviously embarrassing yourself. It's only a fool who believe everything they hear. can you authenticate that this story is true. Do you know what they call diplomacy. What the Chadian president has done is a slap on our Nation and he knows it but fool like you are rubbing it deep. |
Exigency:Can you replace a lost life. My broda, this is a public forum, always check your comment if the thing make sens before you press send. I tire ooo. Will should find out the root cause and identify the perpetrators and instigators and ensure Justice is served. |
