BusinessRe: Share Your Worst Broke Moments Experiences In Life by Ligxy(f): 2:36pm On Oct 31, 2020
I remember sometimes in 2017 or so, I was going for a job interview at ikeja from Ikorodu. The tfare that will take me there was like 350 or 400, I can't remember now.
But I remembered that I had about 200 naira short of the cash I needed for transport, I wasn't even thinking about food despite the fact that I was hungry.
On getting to Ikorodu Park, I started begging the conductors to reduce 50 naira from Maryland tfare. I received the insult of my life, some drove me out of the bus like a leper. Also got the usual "ashawo" name tag. I was crying in my soul.
After standing at the bus stop for like 1 hour without anyone ready to help, I didn't know how to beg. I saw one rasta man calling Maryland 100 naira instead of 150. I was so happy, I jumped inside the cab, only to realize that it was one chance. Thank God I noticed it in time, I told them I forgot what I wanted to buy. And they allowed me to come down..
How I got to Ikeja that day is story for another day.
Poverty is a bastard o.

Please there is serious heat. I’m a first time mum. Baby is always sweating. Yet my mum insists on no fan or AC. Can’t I put on the fan or AC but cover the baby wellhuh
Depends on the age I think. But we stay under ac from 1 month old cos my baby sweat a lot. He won't sleep without fan or AC, and he has never had cough or cold/catthar. Not even once.
He's now 8 months

The reverse is our case
What can I give to soften poop
She takes pap, nutribom and cerelac
I don't make them too thick
Drinking water is always a struggle
I give warm water in the morning
Today is day5 and no poop, I'm worried and it's usually hard when it takes this long.
I've given warm water today, nothing yet
She's 8m
Apple juice once in a while is good for bowel movement.
Boil the apple a bit before blending and extracting the juice.
That's what I was giving my bobo when he wasn't taking much water, but now, he finishes a bottle of 75cl Eva water in 2 days.
Kisses to her. kiss

I am having a good laugh cheesy cheesy leave that young man abeg or what else do you want him to be doing na? and please get prepared urgently o.

Please keep anything that can cause injury out of his reach. He shouldn't have access to his poo or any dirty thing around. He's just been inquisitive.
As per the pinching, he's innocent and just playing, bear with him.

Just feed him well, most children tends to slow down on the weight gain due to their activities especially when they start crawling. Welldone ma
Thank you ma. The newest now is that he'll remove his diaper by himself if it's too wet or when he poops.
He sleeps in just singlet and diaper cos of the heat, we wake up these days to a soggy diaper lying somewhere on the bed and his empty bumbum, free to air of course. grin grin

Thankfully, he doesn't poop at night.

Thanks ma. We started swallow with assorted since o. Before seven months sef. He eats well, I just want more suggestions on food that contain more good calories, you know, less quantity more quality. I don't want his tummy to be too big.
His favorite is agidi with soup, I make soup with everything because he will eat well as long as agidi is involved.
Egusi soup, okro, ogbono, egg soup, sweet potato soup, beans soup, fish soup, garden egg soup, onion soup. Lentils soup, name it, we have a soup version. grin grin

Please mamas, my 8 months old baby is getting really active and I'm kinda not prepared for this at all. I literally scream all day for one thing or the other.. It's either he's climbing the window, or hitting me on my face with his strong and large hands, or pulling my hair or pouring water on my bed or biting me with his toothless gums or jumping so hard or wanting to touch the ceiling fan, or wanting to put his tiny fingers inside a live extension box or wanting to touch his poop and play with it or chewing at my phone or hiding the remote, or wanting to watch only jimjam or urinating in my pillow or scratching/pinching our neighbour's daughter.
I WASN'T prepared for all these at this early age.

Please what do I give him to replace burnt calories as I want him to remain chubby and he burns a lot. Help me with food with good calories please.

No need crying on nairaland, you Sowore supporters should follow him carry his revolution now flag. It's just as simple as that. You can't force others to accept him. You can't bully us to accept him either.

I am asking for details about Sowore not Oshomole, how is Sowore an attention seeker, just give a clear explanation, to clear things up, if we can be clear in what we say and do, perhaps our Leaders will be clear and more honest, since our Leaders come from us, they show what kind of people we are.
Protest was tagged #Endsars, he wanted to override it with his failed #revolutionnow. He knew his revolution now has failed but he wants to come ride upon our sweat. We don't want him. He should gather his age mates and do their own protests. Leave the youths to do their thing. Abi fight dey dia?

This is reassuring cause people here are making me feel like it's cause of ebf.
Think she might like adult food more but I'm scared of trying cause she hasn't been taking enough water.
For now it's still plain pap she prefers. Tried nutribom cereal this morning she didn't like it.
It has nothing to do with EBF, babies are just different. My EBF baby just started semi solids 2 weeks ago, yesterday, he finished a bowl of soft agidi with okro soup. This morning na noodles and eggs, he finished half a small pack.. He enjoys adult food more than puree or pap.
So I just want to buy his own set of cooking utensils, make I dey cook his own food from our own.
So it's amala, agidi, moimoi, tuwo etc we're voting for now.
She will eat, it's just a matter of time.

Please how do i transition to giving other foods?
It's been 2weeks now since we clocked 6ms and no progress has been recorded.
Ive tried plain pap, pap and formula, cerelac and even just formula. She doesn't want any of those, not even water.
Don't want to waste money trying different brands of milk and cereal.
I even tried the beans and mackerel porridge, same result.
I've tried feeding her when she's hungry but she still refuses to take it.
Dh has tried feeding her on several occasions, ive used feeding bottle, plate and spoon, still same reaction. Today for instance I waited for about 5hrs since she sucked BM last and gave her pap, since she was obviously hungry but she still refused to take it. I had to give in, she's sucking and smiling now angry
Mamas please come to my aid o
What am I not doing right?
Choi! Ndo.
While we(my chairman and I ) just managed to push ourselves reach 6 months to be able to consume all consumables, chairlady is still blowing guy with food. These babies ehn.
Mix her food with plenty of BM and wait till she's hungry before giving her. That's what I'd do.

Pls mummys and daddys in the house, what do I do to stop my four months old son from sucking his hands. His sucking is not due to hunger cos he sucks even when he just finish breastfeeding, he must suck before he can fall asleep if not he’d just be crying and struggling to sleep. If I use hand mitten, he soaks it up n that still doesn’t stop him. His sucking doesn’t affect his feeding cos he’s feeding pattern didn’t change, my husband said I should leave him that he would out grow it but I became worried again when I read of someone here saying it would affect his dentition.
Secondly is his pooing pattern, he poops once in a week now, maybe because I’m beginning to introduce solid foods to him, and he doesn’t like drinking water cos I’m not sure if breast milk would help digest the solid foods cos his poops is always hard. Pls how do I go about this cos I even give him orange like every other day cos he’s sweet mouthed hoping the orange will help but still it doesn’t. Pls I really need your replies. I’m a FTM
@nameflow, @zayne @all mummies and daddies
I think the sucking is still normal for his age.
Please don't give him oranges, to avoid acid reflux, his stomach is still too tender for the acid in orange.
Also, I think it's a bit too early to give him solids too

Weather for small talk...ok.....but do you talk hobbies, holidays etc with your colleagues....

Also when you move houses, do you go say hello to your new neighbour or is that nosey?
