Popular Nigerian – Dubai based socialite, Hushpuppi has reacted to Timaya’s diss on celebrities who wear fake watches and clothes.

Federal High Court sitting in Kano on Monday dismissed a suit filed by a Kano based lawyer Bulama Bukarti seeking an order of the court compelling the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate Governor Abdullahii Umar Ganduje for allegedly receiving bribes from a contractor.

The Judge dismissed the case for lack of evidence.



The lawyer, Bulama had approached the court seeking for an order compelling the EFCC to provide report of its forensic investigation analysis of the said video allegedly showing Ganduje receiving kickback from an unknown contractor.



However, Justice Egwuatu ruled that even though where the affidavit deposed to, is not countered, it is deemed admitted,the evidence therein must be cogent and verifiable.

The judge averred that the provisions of Freedom of Information Act 2011, required that information requested must be a public record and in the custody of the instruction of organization so requested from.



Justice Egwuatu dismissed the case on the grounds that the evidence before the court has not shown that the EFCC has the record of the forensic analysis of the bribery video allegations, noting that the report ought to be given to the Kano state House of Assembly ad-hoc committee set up to investigate the matter.

A resident who witness the violence in Aguda as rival groups clashed, gave a shocking report of the violence as it unfolded.



According to @Ohammiri one person has been killed already in the violence that erupted in Aguda, Surulere, this morning.



The men involved in the violence used guns and broken bottles as they attacked each other.



She added that the fight was between Mushin boys and Aguda boys. Aguda boys were allegedly fighting to establish dominance after Mushin boys invaded their territory.



She said police could not control the men. The violence was eventually brought under control when SARS arrived, at which time one person had been shot dead.

A video of Nigeria Chief Justice, Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed ‘incoherently’ trying to talk about the invasion of the court by operatives of the Department of State Services(DSS) has emerged online and its causing a major a stir.

Mrs. Aisha Buhari, wife of Nigeria’s President, has once again accused a close relative of President Muhammadu Buhari of issuing a presidential directive behind her husband.

The First lady, in a statement she signed and sent to Daily Trust newspaper, accused Mamman Daura of issuing a directive to a presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, not to recognise her office.

Mr Buhari had before his election in 2015 said he would not allow for the office of the First Lady. During Mr Buhari’s first term in office, the presidency repeatedly referred to Mrs Buhari as the ‘wife of the president.’

However, after the president’s re-election, Mrs Buhari released a statement saying she should henceforth be referred to as the First Lady and her office as the ‘Office of the First Lady’.

Since then, the presidency has referred to Mrs Buhari as the First Lady and President Buhari has also assigned official aides to her office.

The Controversy

On Wednesday, however, Mrs Buhari accused Mr Daura and Mr Shehu of undermining her office.

Okofia Otolo Nnewi, residents in Anambra state have banished of one of their own a man in his 60s for reportedly committing incest with his daughter and impregnating her twice.

A Facebook user who shared the story, the elderly man who is allegedly from Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area had palm fronds tied on his neck. His daughter who was carrying a baby also as a result of sleeping with her father also had palm fronds tied on her leg to show that they they both committed a taboo.

The father and daughter were then led to a waiting bus where all their property were packed in by the community members.
