A grandmother’s life was cut shot after being mauled to death by her own dogs at her home in upstate New York.

The grandmother, Arlene Renna was found unconscious on her living room floor by her husband, Joe, when he returned to their house, according to to police.

The 67-year-old died at the scene from her injuries after being found at around 4pm on Saturday, state police said.

The Shiites are currently having their Ashura mourning procession in Abuja, Gombe, Kaduna and Katsina state, in defiance of the police.

The Ashura procession is an annual religious ritual carried out by the Shia Islamic sect all over the world on September 10th.

The Police yesterday released a statement saying the sect is still banned and any procession they hold will amount to the advancement of terrorism.

An 8-year-old schoolgirl allegedly gang raped by an 11-year-old boy and his two younger brothers at a government school in the Ramala region of Baghpat in India.

Geoffrey Onyeama, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, has summoned the South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, Bobby Moroe#, over the ongoing xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.

The former deputy to ex-Governor Gbenga Daniel of Ogun (2007-2011), Salmot Badru, on Tuesday led over 1,000 supporters into the All Progressives Congress in the state.

Edo State Police Command has confirmed the killing of two of its officers attached to the Chief Medical Director of the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Prof. Sylvanus Okogbeni.
