Nigerians took to social media this morning to pour out tributes to a young journalist who was killed by stray bullet during the bloody clash between the police and Shiites group.

The young journalist by the name, Precious Owolabi was undergoing his one year mandatory national youth service in Channelstv Abuja branch.

Owolabi was killed by a stray bullet in the stomach while covering the protest before the clash broke out. Others that were killed during the clash includes, the Deputy commissioner of police FCT and others.

Mr Adetola Olubajo, who is the President of Nigerian Union in South Africa, has confirmed the killing of one 17-year-old, Chinonso Dennis Obiaju, who was shot dead in Johannesburg, on Saturday.

In a video, that has since gone viral, a soldier was seen assaulting a driver on Moloney Street in the Lagos Island area of Lagos.

A 52 year-old, German man currently facing charges for manslaughter after killing his wife in a 48-hour BDSM sex session days after their wedding has been dealt a suspended jail sentence of 18 months.

Nigerian popular pop star, Wizkid, is the number one trending person on social media today for not so good reasons. The singer’s third baby mama, Jada Pollock, has accused him of domestic violence.

A suit challenging the academic qualification of President Muhammadu Buhari to contest the last presidential election have being dismissed by Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal on Friday.

Justice Tinuade Akomolafe-Wilson, led a three-man panel of the court in a unanimous judgment affirmed the earlier verdict of the Federal High Court in Abuja which had dismissed the suit on the grounds that it was statute-barred and robbed the court of jurisdiction to entertain the suit.

A 40-year-old man identified as Audu Ado, of Gwarjo village in the Matazu Local Government Area of Katsina State has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly sexualy molesting a 14-year-old girl for a period of five months.

Ado was accused of committing the offence while aware of his health status as an HIV carrier.

Angela Merkel , 64, German Chancellor has been seen shaking for a third time in a month as she met Finland's visiting Prime Minister in Berlin today.

California authority have warned that there is a possibility of the city to be hit by another or even more powerful earthquake within days after southern California was rocked by its worst tremor in 20 years on Thursday, experts believe.
