The United States Mission in Nigeria has issued a holiday security alert to its citizens and others planning to travel to Nigeria.

The country’s Embassy in Abuja and Consulate General Lagos in the new security alert posted on its website cautioned US citizens that insecurity may increase during the holiday period.



The alert stated that “Crime is endemic throughout Nigeria.”



It adding that “terrorist organizations and individuals inspired by extremist ideology exist throughout Nigeria.

Chieftain of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, Olusegun Bamgbose, said that he has positioned himself to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari come 2023.

Motorists on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, were on Wednesday morning thrown into panic following gas leakage.

In a video shared on social media, the gas leakage was spotted at Arepo area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The deadly terrorist group, Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for the kidnap of students from Government Science school, Kankara, Katsina State.

The terror group’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, made this known in a 4:28 long recording released in the wee hours of Tuesday and obtained by HumAngle.

The academic broad of Federal Polytechnic in Ede, Osun state has been suspended the Rector, John Adekolawole on grounds of “sleeping at work.”

The United States government has finally reacted to the Lekki toll gate killings, calling for immediate investigation into the shootings by the Nigerian military on #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll gate on Tuesday night, October 20.

Director of Information, Maj. Gen. John Eneche for Nigerian Army, has addressed a press conference on the Lekki Toll Gate shooting which many said was perpetrated by soldiers.



Commenting on report of soldiers shooting the protesters, he described it as mere allegations as some military analysts had dismissed as untrue.



Eneche further revealed that the military is involved in internal security operations codenamed ‘Operation MESA’ in nine states, however declined to disclose further details on the joint security task force. He added that Operation MESA is under the control of the state governments, and comprised the Army, Navy, Air Force, Civil Defence and police personne

“The level we are now is internal security and that is why the police proactively came out and then deployed all their force package that are necessary to handle that (violence).”
