Nigerian sensational singer, David Adeleke popularly known as, Davido has reacted to the death of American rapper Pop Smoke, who was shot dead at his home.

Recall Pop Smoke was murdered in his home after four masked gunmen gained entry into his home and shot him three hours after the rapper shared a tweet on his verified Twitter handle.

Reacting to his death, David tweeted, advising that people learn to forgive those who hurt them as no one is promised tomorrow.

Eight-month-old boy with pre-existing health problems is feared to be the youngest Briton with coronavirus after being treated by one of Brighton’s infected GPs as the first case in London was also confirmed today.

The baby has ‘all the symptoms’ associated with the virus and his terrified family say they are living ‘in hell’ because his four-year-old sister may also have been exposed, his father has said.

The unnamed child, who has pre-existing haemophilia and a lung condition, was examined by one of two Brighton GPs who tested positive for coronavirus after treating dozens of people in the city last week and is ‘self-isolated’ at home.


The family, including the boy’s mother, were taken to Worthing A&E by paramedics in full hazmat suits yesterday for tests, with results expected on Friday.

Amorie village in Orlu West Local Government Area of Imo State angry youths have reportedly burnt down the home of Nwazugbo Nsofor, the man who killed his relative, Ife Odenigbo, during a fight in Sourh Africa a few days ago.


A video of the two engaging in a fistcuff surfaced online on Tuesday February 11th. The video showed the moment Nwazugbo picked up a brick to hit Ife's head and he immediately slumped. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he died after few hours on admission.


Angered by the development, relatives of the deceased who hailed from Amorie village, Ubulu community, mobilised themselves to Nsofor’s Etiti village in the same community, and set the house of the suspect on fire yesterday.



Confirming the development, the spokesperson of the state police command, Orlando Ikeokwu, said an investigation has commenced into the incident.

Some Lagos State residents were forced to return home on Wednesday after the gridlock on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway took a turn for the worse.

The gridlock, which affected the two lanes of the road, led to a standstill of vehicular movement for many hours.


Some commuters, who became frustrated with the situation, disembarked from commercial vehicles and trekked to their destinations.

Others, however, returned home.

PUNCH Metro gathered that several breakdowns of trucks at various sections of the expressway and a truck accident at the Kara end of the road compounded the gridlock.

The lone accident, which happened around 6.30am, was reportedly caused by a yet-to-be-identified driver, who lost control of the truck while at top speed.

The truck was said to have crashed into a barricade at the point where the road was diverted due to ongoing construction works.

It was learnt that the gridlock that resulted from the accident stretched from Berger to the Asese end of the expressway for motorists inbound Lagos, while vehicles en route to Ibadan, Oyo State, experienced gridlock from Berger to the Kara end of the road.

While speaking to PUNCH Metro, some commuters lamented spending hours in the gridlock on a journey that usually lasted minutes.

A civil servant, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said she was forced to go back home when she noticed that the journey was not making any progress.

Soldiers have reportedly blocked the entrance of the family residence of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, ahead of his parents’ burial. Amnesty International (AI) quoted residents as saying the soldiers are also harassing residents in the area ahead of the funeral scheduled for Friday.

TheCable could not immediately verify claims about the blockade, but gathered that there is indeed a heavy security presence in Afara Ukwu, Kanu’s community.

In a statement on Wednesday, AI said it gathered from some persons that “they saw soldiers harassing people at Bank road while another man said he was prevented from going to his house by soldiers who blocked the road entrance to Eze Kanu’s palace.”

Video showing the moment basketball legend, Kobe Bryant’s helicopter crashed has been released online.



The NBA legend, 41, alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others were killed in a helicopter crash on a remote, steep hillside in Southern California on Sunday.

News of his death sent shockwaves around the world as lot of celebrities paid tribute on social media.

The chopper went down in Calabasas, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, while it was heading to Bryant’s Mamba Academy in Thousand Oaks for basketball practice.

A witness told RMG News that he heard some noise “like a helicopter was struggling” and the “engine was not really running fast.”



“Was very low…. I pick up a call, I spoke to my friend, I heard some explosion. Then smoke come out, cars back and forth here,” the witness explained.

The estranged wife of singer, Dr sid, Simi Esimi, has confirmed the end of their marriage. In a statement released this morning, the mother of two confirmed they are heading for a divorce and moving forward as co-parents. The estranged couple got married in August 2014.

Luck ran out on two suspected armed robbers after they were caught and burnt by angry mob while trying to rob a pregnant woman at Abak road Boulevard in Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Tuesday night.

According to a witness, who preferred anonymity, the suspects surrounded the woman when she got down from a motorbike at about 9pm.

The witness said that, the motorcyclist drove off after dropping his passenger but was forced to turn back on hearing screams from the pregnant woman. However, two of the robbers were said to have fled upon sighting the motorcyclist, but had already dispossessed the woman of her valuables.


But the other two robbers were not so lucky as the motorcyclist immediately alerted others, who engaged the hoodlums.

He said, “Luck ran out of two of them when they were overpowered by many people who beat, and hurled bricks at them, forced them into a tunnel and set them ablaze,” he said.

The Spokesman of the police in the state Odiko Macdon confirmed the incident but expressed his displeasure at the jungle justice meted out to the suspects, saying it is against the law.

The chairman of Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission, James Momoh, is been mocked by Nigerians on Twitter after he went on stage to shout ”I have a dream that Nigeria will have 24 hours power”.



Momoh was attending a conference centered on electricity and as he was about to make his speech, he channeled his inner ”Martin Luther King” and shares his dream of stable electricity power supply to Nigerians.

It all began after Peruzzi’s former boss, King Patrick claimed the singer had slept with Chioma severally and only managed to love-vendor her to the DMW boss as his cousin.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) disclosed that four agents have been arrested for selling ePINS for the ongoing 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)/Direct Entry (DE) registrations above the stipulated amount.

The four agents are Abdulrazak Adiza, Mathew Joe, Obekee Godday and Inyang Patrick.

In a statement sent to PREMIUM TIMES Wednesday night, the spokesperson of the board, Fabian Benjamin, warned that any outlet caught selling the ePINS higher than the prescribed amount would be sanctioned immediately.

He said the arrested vendors have been suspended from further participation in the sale of ePINs for the 2020 UTME.
