Mfree:Lol! Wetin that one dey talk? |
grandstar:For the money, Rivers state is also a bank, remember Amaechi's and APC- |
Very funny. But, this is a lesser crime than burning the women. Why would you burn them?? He was saving them from death. He may be a wizard himself and he might also be performing a ritual. In fact, if they want to burn they should burn the three. |
KanwuliaExtra:Oh, now I see. Na him fault then. Just lole when someone ask me Someone: 'wetin you wan chop?' Me: 'give me anything wey dey.' Someone: "No, make your choice" Me: 'ok, give me eba made of manna gryn, with white soup made with chicken dissolved inside and chewable okooroko' Someone: "We actually don't have that but rice and stew" I dey vex. The person actually wanted me to make 'rice and stew as my choice so he will provide it and claim 'mr have-it-all'. |
KanwuliaExtra:If they said they did not present the three to him, fine. But I think he would have also felt that the VP seat is 'too small' for Wike. |
Yes, it is great to be virgin before marriage. Aside the fact that it is a sin, which we know God forgives when you actually repent, there are consequences, and this is not just for Christians but everyone. You could catch some disease fornicating. Recently, I met a guy, Kim (real name). He needed to work because he just had a heartbreak. His girlfriend cheated on him with his friend, and when he confronted her, she broke up with him and told their mutual friends that she broke up the relationship due to domestic violence. So, this led to many of their friends deserting Kim and he was depressed. Kim said she actually broke up with him because she knew he was never going to have sex with her again because he knew, and also told her, that the other guy has herpes. She will live with this disease and transmit it to the man she eventually marries, or to as many men as possible. You could get pregnant, and pregnancy could disrupt your life if you are not married. Depending on your family and the society you live in, premarital pregnancy could ruin your life. Trying to have your cake after eating it by opting for abortion could lead to damaged womb or death, which is permanent. Having experience with several men could make you not to enjoy your husband when you get married because you will always compare. Yes, it is advisable to maintain virginity till marriage, both for men and women, |
KanwuliaExtra:The bolded. Going by what Atiku said, “The committee that presented the three nominees was chaired by the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom. They recommended three people, so I picked one. People should be fair to me and state the facts.”, I don't think he made a fool of anyone, so long as Okowa's name was one of the three. My thoughts |
gidgiddy:Good analysis |
KanwuliaExtra:Ambition to be the president or the VP? |
topcatking:Well, just his decision. He might have other reasons not spoken. |
When Atiku said “I didn’t reject Wike, I picked who can deliver. Wike is brilliant and tenacious . Going by history, I had picked an Igbo as running mate in 2007, in 2019. I still picked an Igbo for 2023.“ he simply means that, in terms of delivering votes, Wike is better, but to occupy the office of VP, Okowa is more suitable and he is an Igbo man while Wike is not. Atiku wants the Igbos to tag along, Check Atiku's assertion below: "...I made clear that my running mate would have the potential to succeed me at a moment’s notice, that is, a president-in-waiting." “In other words, the person must have the qualities to be President. The person must have an appreciation of the deep rot which our country has been put into by the rudderless All Progressives Congress government; understands the great suffering that most of our people are going through and the urgency of relieving them of that suffering; understands the critical importance of economic growth and development to provide our young people with jobs, hope, and a pathway to wealth.” He simply means he found those qualities more in Okowa than WIke. And, if it happened as he said “The committee that presented the three nominees was chaired by the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom. They recommended three people, so I picked one. People should be fair to me and state the facts.” then I don't blame him. Why would you present 3 people to me to choose one, and then when I do as you say it raises dust? Please free Atiku, Wike should goan work for his party, he had sworn not to leave PDP, if he will maintain that, then he will be one of those politicians that have some sort of political integrity like Obj and GEJ. |
APC don load this one money, just like Amaechi brought one unknown young 'governorship aspirant' in Port harcourt that year to challenge Wike in court. The boy enjoyed some money and very short-lived fame. |
dollytino4real:Chai! May God help lift you and your husband. Remain strong and supportive to him and don't blame yourself for your choices in the past but pray daily for God to help you make the right decisions. May God bless and prosper your marriage and lift you from every form of lack. |
I am thinking, is it that kwakwanso will collect all the pvcs of those who should vote for him and give to tinubu, or he will just announce that they should vote for tinubu? If the latter will be the case, then I can categorically tell you that the method can only fetch little. Some people, once he says he is stepping down, will simply change direction and vote who they like, and not who he tells them to vote. Just like Peter Obi stepping down for Tinubu, his supporters who are core pdp will just curse him and throw in for Atiku. You may be right, because I don't trust that kwakwanso at all, he seems like someone who is sure he can't win but wants some sort of relevance. But that it worked during the primaries does not guarantee it will be successful in the general election. |
Wundo, a Ugandan came to check the room I'm renting out today. He lamented of how messed up he is and how the thought of ending his life comes to him sometimes. I interviewed him further and he confirmed he flew to Italy in 2018 from Uganda. Now he is here. He applied for asylum, and, after about one year, they replied and declined his request. Now he has appealed the decision and waiting for the outcome. He told me how tough it has been for him here. He only has secondary education and was doing not too badly while in his home country. He lamented how his people,e specially his father, keep bothering him for money, not knowing what he is passing through. He raised his visa fee and flight ticket himself without any contribution from his father, yet his father won’t let him be, even after constantly explaining his situation. His siblings are not left out. He said he would have found his way back if his mother is alive because she would have been the only one to understand his plight and welcome him back. He said he has been so limited in opportunities here because he doesn’t have any valid document, and employers take advantage of it. He works 10hrs or more sometimes presently washing cars, and yet is paid 8,000sek at the end of the month. From that he pays for rent, buys transport pass for the month and feeds, then he has more or less nothing left. Meanwhile sometimes they call him from home demanding as much as 4,000sek to pay fees. He has changed numbers severally to avoid his people. He had thought that once he landed in Europe he would blow overnight. Lol. Life! I guess he didn’t go to work today because he came here around 10.30am today. He said he has engaged his current employer to increase his pay. And when I asked by how much he said at least 6,000. To tell you his status, he said he can only come and pay for the rent after he has been paid at the end of the month, meaning he doesn’t even have any cash for emergency. I told him, that depends on if the room is still available then because it is on first-come-first-serve basis. Truly, this guy is being exploited. Because of his immigration status he has limited himself physically and psychologically. I encouraged him to look beyond his present situation and expand his network. There are a lot of jobs he can do without documents and earn cash. This is the story of one out of many. Wetin person dey see abroad. Meanwhile, the president of his country has been the president since the guy was born. But the truth is, with determination and continuous hard work, and heaven blessing him, he can rise above all these. |
Good to hear, what is yours is yours, it may only take time. The only challenge I have is while time is being taken, a lot of things could have gone wrong as some may be irreversible. But, anyhow it is, let what belongs to you come to you at the end of the day, no matter how long. |
Good the shooter fell too. |
Shameless politicians. What happens in Nigeria just shows that these men live off the resources of the country. The minute they are out of power and not in the ruling party, their income dries up immediately and they start chopping the ones stolen previously. Once it is running out and they are not in power yet they resort to every shameful act with only one goal- to have access to inflated contracts at least. Even Nigerians have been so subjugated that they would allow these men to steal once and leave the seat for others while they invest the loot they stole. But no, politics is their source of livelihood. Tufiakwa! |

I just watched this video and I almost cried. Like, for real? I had watched a TEDx broadcast of one young black lady who stated that France is only surviving on Africa, I was as shocked as her audience. I had to share that Video with my South African and Somali friends. Now I am even more shocked and I wonder how Britain's grip is still on Nigeria. It seems when official 'slavery and colonialism' ended, the colonialists formed an 'alliance' to ensure nobody takes away food from their mouth. I am wondering when and if this will ever end. Why africa? Some of the highlights of the video, in case you are not able to watch it: The speaker is Julius Malema and the group is EFF He read a memorandum which demands the colonials masters, especially France (with control of 12 African countries), to leave Africa The twelve countries are still using the French currency The countries have to keep 50% of their reserve in the central bank of France, and cannot access more than 15% of that, if they wish to access more than 15% of that, they have to borrow it. French must be their official language The French Ambassador had refused to come out to receive the memorandum on behalf of France, but Julius said he had to go and get him out. That he should know that he is not in France, but in Africa. He is proposing that Africa should adopt a common language - Swahili. He made reference to Nigeria insisting a Nigerian language be adopted instead. But he argued that even though Nigerian languages are spoken by more people, Swahili is spoken by more countries. He said they claim Africans are poor, they don't want Africans, but they are the ones impovershing Africa I really feel for Africa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7EXYZC1Xso |
Vyzz:Did you say "little" money? I think he may be planning what happened during the delegate voting for the general elections. |
Victosa:Sure, get like two 'good' jackets before coming, depending when you arrive. If you are coming July August, then you may just have one jacket. I came in end of October, and it was getting cold already. Some Jackets I bought (regular) was 149Kr and 24kr. But I spent 400kr in a secondhand shop to buy a jacket that didn't worth it. So, your budget for good jackets should be 300-600kr. |
Here, there are second hand stores around. My advice: Before you walk into a second hand store, you may first visit mall of Scandinavia or any other store and look up things (H&M is where I buy my jackets, I now have their membership). Sometimes the second hand clothes are not cheap in comparison, may be better to get a new stuff. Some things are more affordable online. |
Shopping in Stockholm. When I arrived newly, my landlord, a Nigerian, took me to two African shops, I bought scumbia fish and Quaker Oats (tin). I was new and didn't pay much attention to the price then. Now I buy swedish oat meal packages in waterproof or paper bags. But subsequently, I didn't know where those shops were. Then I would visit malls. The popular brands to me here are ICA (has different subs), COOP, City Cross, WIlly:s, Lidl, Pressbyran, 7-Eleven, and others. I repeat, 'popular to me'. Pressbyran is almost in all train stations. 7-eleven is pretty strewn around (both 7-eleven and pressbyran are in Frecasti campus of SU). The things to consider when shopping are: proximity, availability, price and variety. Proximity. When you have emergency, the closest mall may be your best pick, irrespective of all other qualities. That is the reason you need to plan yourself. Ignorance may also confine you to a particular mall, no blames. I was shopping at COOP because it was closest to where I first lived and I had not discovered other big malls, and price sensitivity had not gotten hold of me. Availability. This is in terms of the mall, timing and products. Pressbyran is about the most available when you are on transit (since they are almost in every train station), but they don't have as much goods as others, and I think they are quite expensive, except for their bannanas (they sell them in singles, and the more the cheaper). 7-eleven also sells bannanas like that. I buy 1L ice cream (vanilla flavour) only at Lidl for 14 kr abi 17kr, na only dem dey satisfy me for that one. So, for me, out of all these, I settled for WIlly:s and Lidl only, even though I perceive Lidl to be the best (it's a German company). So,I first discovered WIlly:s, but it was far from me. Then I would branch to shop when I'm coming back from work because it was closer to my workplace than home. But if there was ever anything I needed while at home, I strolled to Coop to pick it. When I discovered Lidl, I did a lot of comparisons and finally settled for Lidl, unless when i need to eat chocolate bar peanuts, or there's no Lidl shop around, then Willy:s. Willy:s membership will enable you enjoy further discounts (but you can't get this without a personnummer). Lidl and WIlly:s close by 9pm in some locations, and 10pm in others. African shop I decided not to care about this anymore because items are just expensive there, I mean stuff you can get in other malls. The only thing that will take me to an African shop is to buy an African food not found elsewhere. Since I arrived sweden, I haven't had any need to visit an African shop. Garri would have been what would always take me there, but 'manna gryn' don substitute for everything eba here for me. When you go to any shop to buy plastic drinks (like 1,5L sprite), the cost of the empty container is included separately, you can also go trade it when it empty, it costs 2kr. It is normal for people to buy some stuff and just carry it in their hands and stroll back home. The reason is beause the bag wey dem go use package your stuff if you need (paper or nylon), na buy you go buy am. I dey put extra nylon bags for my backpack now, just incase e plenty pass the bag wey I carry for back. But once in a while, then you may have to buy a bag. Some places would not take cash if you buy a thing, but these malls where I shop, they take cash as well. If you are in stockholm, reach me and I'll tell you how you can get a debit card quicker than you think. make sure all your electrical appliances have two round pins (that is their standard here), if not, then you will need an adapter. If you want to buy phone accessories and some electronics, then Elgigante comes to mind. Kjell & company also, but this people no dey take cash. I remember when I came in, my macbook has 3-pin charger plug. My classmate took me to Kjell to get one and I for no fit buy am if no be for my classmate- she had to pay with her card and then I gave her thecash. I never enter there again. If you have issues with any appliance in the house, then Bauhus is the place to go, they sell anything there. I don tire. |

Sometimes I think of why all these are happening to black people. What actually went wrong and where? Did God create all humans to be equal? Does this have to with the skin colour? It beats me. If you take a stroll to that community now you will see poverty. Their means of livelihood taken away and the people left to starve. Communities should that have oil installations should 24/7 electricity provided by the 'sucking' companies. Every adult in the community should have access to decent housing, and should be paid minimum wage monthly, regardless of whether they work or not. Now, when you look well, you may discover that some sort of intervention comes from the companies, but the traditional ruler and few men would have all diverted to their private accounts and once in a while release stipend to the villagers. Someone once said that the devil is dark-skinned. The heart of Africans are 'desperately wicked'. They do to their kinsmen what they complain westerners do to them. Will African ever rise? |
