Here i was sitting quietly in my office until my life was altered due to something silly my supposedly fiancee wrote exposing ourlives for no just cause and setting me up for christians who dont know me to insult me to the highest heavens. If she even spoke to me about this, i wont be this demoralized and shakey at work reading all these evil statements made by people calling me this things. Why would she go this far to do it. And your saying i shouldnt blame her. You all forget the 6 pages of insults that strangers from no where have been pouring on me and the people that know me reading this. How far this write up would go is something else. From all your advices she is getting married to a devil because i am not a christian, why should i just let her be in peace since that would stop all these slanderous statements and let me be. We have done so many things together as a couple and this issue of the christian or no christian thing has never cropped up until now on the internet. How would you feel if it were you that you just woke up one morning and found your life being the centre of the storm for no just cause. Do you guys forget things easily? Have you not gone through all the name calling and atheist bashing due to her story. Why should she do this and your telling me i should chill and am childish because she praised me. What sort of praise is that? If she truely loved me why should she lay me out bare for people to castigate me because of my views and these people dont even know me. What sort of advice is she looking for that we havent weathered together for 4 years and we are still going on. In fact what ever. Am done with this episode. Whatever. I will fulfill her wishes so that this castigations will end and i will be in peace. Because there is no way i can ever forgive her for this humilation and if we are even together back, this issue will now truely rise every now and then. It was never an issue to me but it will now be an issue to me. I will have to accept that religious discrimination is truely alive and i am an endangered specie because of my views. I was deluded it will work and was planning to make sure it works to prove people wrong. I accept i was betting on the wrong horse and for those insulting Labake, she has done more for me today that i could imagine. Showing me this website makes me appreciate her more. I could have continued living a false life with Sia and not knowing she had the capacity to stab me in front of strangers. Now i know better and who i can truely call my friends

COMON!!!! How can you let the views of STRANGERS mean so much to you??!!! We would not have even known so much if you had not come on to respond. You should have read this post and gone to talk with her about it not start posting back. It is really not necessary.

Now you have discovered that your religious beliefs are a source of worry to her, I would say you should both discuss this and agree. Strangers opinions about you should not make you do deeds that will not in the long run, concern them!!!

For me it is not justified to attribute ANYONE'S thots and actions with my beliefs. Meaning, if I choose to believe in God, it is MY decision. Nothing noone says, acts or does will change my choice. IT IS MY CHOICE!!! Noone forced it down my throat as I chose to believe.

Kindly inform me about how your boss filled the Application for Residence Form, the Details of Family Members page. I understand you are expected to fill every member of your family whether accompanying you to Canada or not.

Did your boss add details of his/her parents, siblings or something? I am asking cos if a single person is filling the form, is he/she expected to fill in the details of their parents and siblings? Since if you ever want to bring them over to Canada, they first go back to your form and see what you put down there intially.

Are you suggesting I apply under the skilled worker class (PR)? Cos I don't fit under the Experienced Class since I have neither studied nor worked in Canada before.

It is the waiting period that stops me from applying 4 PR which why I am thinking of the certificate studies in HR route which will enable me under the experienced class.

Yes, it is as it is under the skilled Type A (Professional occupations). Am studying in University of Lagos. Dont wanna lose on both ends if u get my drift, hence, my masters in Nigeria.

The PR one It takes forever!!! to get it. I am in the Human Resources field o! Currently doing my masters degree sef in H.R. Was thinking of getting registered as a CHRP while here so as to help increase my changes of good jobs when I get there. But I think the field is becoming saturated in Canada, not sure though.

Anywayz, keeping my fingers crossed cos I have started checking out some schools that offer graduate certificate studies in HRM.

Thanks for that. Read about the Experienced class but how we both it won't be an easy thing to do except I get in as a student and work for a while. Or is there a way one can work in Canada for at least a year without having gone thru school?

By work, I don't mean Live-in caregiver o! I think my best option is thru school from all I have seen and read.

Been working for about 3 years now. Just that the period it takes to process a PR is worrisome. Saw on cic.gc dat it could take like 78 months! Been downcast since then. Will take ur advice and be more optimistic now. Just trying to get enuf money before applying maybe thru school or sumtin.

Well said! I have been thinking about this Canada immigration thingy for years but I have never applied bcus until my chances of success are like 85%, I don't intend to apply. The rules have been specified and if I don't meet the requirements, why bother? That's my thought, anyway.

For now, I read up on everything I can to aid me (on & off) when I do actually apply. So I can have great chances of making it. Plus, the money requirement is crazy! And would not want that to stop me, so for now I'm saving, investing etc so as to make over the necessary amount required .
I wouldn't wanna start so low (like washing dishes and crap) so I have to make sure I have enuf money to get re-certified and get a good job.

BTW, can you please provide your own experiences in Canada, like how easy it was for you (or otherwise) to settle down, get a job, ur children's schools and stuff,

For instance, I love spending time on my own, so if you take the children out without me, you would be giving me a break! And if I see that this is the only way to get you to spend time with the children, trust me, I will ensure you keep it up and pretend it bothers me!

All in all, just remember that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander, Nothing is ever this clearcut!
