Ogbeni lets hear word jare ! What about the incumbent in APC those that defected, they have funds, they have structure they have centre agreement ...what does pdp have, by the time pdp announce there support for Tinubu they wil lose people trust completely, why vote pdp when i can just vote APC that controls pdp ...think man undecided
You are a Puerile anti tinubu reactionary.... .wike has told you where he is going and he is well within his right to decide that.....if you don't like it adc is there for you.......people will pick tickets under pdp,run for election and win tahtz a fact, you can decide to partake or not.
Mr longinus methuselah,AC wasn't formed in 03 go get your facts right rather it was AD that adopted obj as their presidential candidate with the exception of tinubu but what did tinubu do,he was matured enough not to tear the roof down at the time but accepted the parties position but refused to let his guard down that was how he was able to survive the pdp onslaught in SW in 03.

Everyone knows pdp cannot field any presidential candidate fir 27 as it is already too late but makinde and his co travellers should heed the call for caution, stay in there and keep your state for the pdp you can still turn things around......pdp is too big and too important to die.

You claimed there isn't anywhere in history where opposition had supported an incumbents to remain in power and I proofed you wrong, the circumstances are secondary......you can decide not to vote tinubu in 27,thats your problem.

So what do you do if dangote isn't ready to meet domestic requirements.....why haven't other refineries come up since collecting licence to now govt is allowing imports as a stop gap measures to stop you from being dependent on only dangote you are still complaining.

Quit self deciet, over 31 states governors have defected to APC it is now Wike now realized they can reconcile n give a APC a fight 🤣🤣 so if pdp led by wike give APC a fight what will happen to his minister job under APC .. You guyz just talk as if Nigerians are all dummies

WIKE that swore Itz Tinubu or nobody is the one leading pdp reconciliation 🤣🤣🤣 joke of the year
It's easier fir you ro run braggadocio.... your stakes in pdp is irrelevant.......pdp is still the biggest party in nigeria today after apc,LP doesn’t even come close....... people will contest under pdp for offices in 27 whether you like or not and they will win..... adc cannot offer the same pedigree or structure has pdp can.

Hou can aswell tell makinde to go bring his successor to run from another party same as bala Muhammed and hear what they will tell u.......whats wrong if pdp decides to support tinubu......the republicans supported Franklin Roosevelt to continuecto govern till his death long after his constitutionaly permitted 2 terms.....there isn't anything cast in stone, didn't AD govs adopt obj as their presidential candidate in 03 even when this same Tinubuwas gov,did he bring the house down or decamp as you are erbing makinde to do now........only a fool will accept to run for president under pdp as it is today because the inevitable outcome would be a scandalous loss but pdp will certainly win seats in NASsS and state assemblies and atleast 1 or 2 states.. . You can continue to play your kamikaze politics but those vested in the party knows saraki isn't out of order and lamido himself corroborated same.

I don't understand this country o.
Dangote is exporting petrol,
Why we are importing petrol
It pays dangote more to export and earn dollars than sell to you in naira.....if not the naira for crude deal initiated by this govt, you would have been paying even more than you are now for petrol... Dangote is only being alarmist and that's why he musnt be allowed to have a monopoly..... Govt can't force him on how much to sell his petrol that's why govt is allowing those who have the means to import to do so they can compete with dangote.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria's Public Debt Growth: Buhari Vs Tinubu — 2026 by Lithiumite: 10:00am On Mar 27
TruthHurts1:
Buhari was paying trillions annually to subsidise fuel prices, yet Nigeria’s debt profile was 3 times lower under him.

Meanwhile Tinubu in his first two years in office has almost amassed the same amount of debt that Buhari accumulated after 8 years in office despite Tinubu not having to pay fuel subsidy.

I'm beginning to think we were unfair to Buhari
How much is dollar now compared to buhari era?

How much is debt servicing ratio to revenue now compared to then?

How much revenue do you have now compared?

How much foreign reserve compared to then?

How much crude oil output is Nigeria producing now compared to then?

What is Nigeria's budget now compared to then?

Theirein lies all the answers, the tinubu govt is running a much bigger and robust economy than you had then.

The problem with people like you is that always try to substantiate " aberration" * mediocre" ... Our politicians dont have ideology thats why they mix anyhow

The nusense we do here, nd wike we open mouth ..." it is politics" you can't find it in any democratic country, imagine you signed for arsenal and you wil be the keeper for chelsea against arsenal undecided .. I tell people like Babajide dont explain Nigeria amala politics to us, as citizens what we should hold on to his the constitution and what is mentally right

You think wike have won, his relevance already has expiring date, is political relevance can not out live Tinubu tenure. Write it down, shebi Saraki had is reign he was feeling " supreme" where did it end. Wike can enjoy the victory But one sure thing is that he cant do anything with pdp left to him

I will never sit down n try to understand Amala politics, baba sope politics ... Cos i know its a breach on power to the people. I did read politics in school as elective course .... There is no where i saw Amala politics or anti party as politics learning that course

snatch it, Grab it nd run with it ... thats what pickpockets, garage thieves do, not politics
Your mind is already assuaged by your anti tinubu politics no matter how much reality stares you in the face ....you can choose to delude yourself,it's still within your right to be unreasonable. Nobody has said wike will reign for ever but there are times you have to sit with your enemy for the better good of a course in this case every anti tinubu element in pdp have to seat with wike as things are right now... Hate him all you want,he holds the aces.....for the sake of all those pdp members that are aspiring to contest you need to give them the chance and that's what saraki is saying, this isn't about wike is wrong makinde is right it's about how to save pdp and let pdp have people fill other positions like nass, guber or state assembly and if makinde and co don't sheath their swords pdp will loose oyo and even bauchi because you can't contest..... Isn't it better to see reason than being down the whole house because you have a problem with wike.

Elrufai was not on the ballot. The job he did for Tinubu cannot be quantified by the number of votes Tinubu got in Kaduna. 29% in Kaduna in an election where a formidable Atiku was also contesting is a huge win. Anyways, Elrufai and Atiku are now in the same party. Kaduna is a cosmopolitan state just like Lagos and votes will always get split but it is still the political capital of the North. Southern Kaduna voted Obi while Northern Kaduna splitted their votes between Atiku, Tinubu and Kwankwaso. Tinubu won only 4 states out of 17 Southern states. It was the margins he got across the North due to the efforts and messaging of the likes of Elrufai that made him president. Were the North supposed to love him more than he is loved at home? He was the only major presidential candidate that failed to win his own state in 2023.
The way you over rate el rufai is what has bloated his ego and made him think he is bigger than he actually is..... what should the likes of badaru, wamakko, matawalle, yari, masari, ganduje and co say when el rufai is beating his chest that he made tinubu president.......for tinubu to have fallen out so badly with elrufai,it must be that some revelations must have come up about el rufai's real motives in that 23 election.....if badaru, matawalle, wamakko, malaria, bagudu could get tinubu those numbers why couldn't el rufai if there wasn't anything sinister....ganduje lost Kano but he still got a higher margin than el rufai and even bested same atiku you claim was undefeatable in the north....masari and buhari lost by only 5k votes, sokoto too had very minimal margin......el rufai is a sly irredeemably unapologetic self indulging character.

I like Obi, but I face the reality in Nigeria politics.
No Igbo man can win the general elections, forget it, at least with the way Nigeria is structured and with the ethnic rivalries, corruption, inefficiency, mass illiteracy and block voting across board. Forget it.

Even south easterners and South South obidents will go with Tinubu the very moment Atiku is announced as ADC candidate. If you remove obi and few others from ADC then, it becomes a dead party of angry ex-APC stauchmen.
You are reasoning right, you are a realist.....it isn't that anyone hates obi but the reality on ground doesn't favor him especially the type of unprincipled politics he is playing........you need to also add that northern votes for adc will be out the window immediately obi gets the ticket......so the opposition is in a cul de sac right now.

Even the el rufai that you are all making noise about that he made tinubu president could only get an abysmal 29% from his state......but the dynamics are different now and the opposition is too fragmented and weak to hold any formidable challenge......tinubu will win with a landslide.

Another Ganduje ally makes the switch. Apart from upsetting the balance of power and scuttling ambitions of hitherto loyal allies in Kano, what has Tinubu gained from poaching Abba Kabir? He didn't gain Kwankwaso and is clearly now losing Ganduje as well. At best, the APC campaign in Kano will be lacklustre. Without Ganduje's willing structure, Abba is a political lightweight. Another disaster-class from the master tragedist.
You guys just over simplify politics like your village clan chest beating contest......you think abba Yusuf can move to apc without ganduje's say so.....you think this guys play emotional politics like you guys do....this guys father is a staunch supporter of tinubu, his father is far more popular across Nigeria with far more influence.....which would you have preferred, adc gaining atleast 1 gov or adc gaining a joker like Dawisu......even kwakwanso is avoiding the adc,obi is as confused as ever wondering what he is doing there..... instead of you to manage your crisis you dey envy apc wey don pass 27 already preparing for 31.

Saraki is the one just playing himself when Nigerians are not even concerned

Saraki and wike were never close, infact wike is less to Saraki set when they were in PDP .. the sudden friendship only means saraki is looking for "something" maybe he has finally accept only Tinubu can revive his dead political career, Nigerians dont care cos we have move pass saraki, even kwara people as well

How can you be proposing Reconciliation of a Party when its obvious Wike want PDP to be an appendage of APC, the resusicitation of PDP to be a formidable opposition is detrimental to Wike survival ... Technically there can only be one way of reconciliation, the Seyi fraction bow to wike interest and they all start campaign for bola ahmed in pdp jersey undecided 🤣
Thats what amala politics of Tinubu have reduce us into, oppositions reduce to endorsement group undecided we are fvcked
Politics isn't mama nkechi fighting mama ada kind of compound quarrel where you fight over irrelevancies and hold malice till perpetuity, politics is serious business and pragmatic reasoning and thats what saraki is espousing here.......hate wike all you want but wike as a maverick that he is has won this pdp battle, he now holds all the aces,if the makinde camp don't surrender, they can as well leave the party, its what it is ,those who still want the pdp to survive are left with no choice but to famz wike whether they like him or hate him and manage the crisis till after the elections......you think pdp is all about whether they support tinubu or not, what about all the other positions that people have invested energy and time aspiring for that they now all stand the risk of loosing that just because some leaders are feeling too big to face reality......pdp got itself into the mess it is in right now and mistakes have been made but it is getting too late to continue to fight......even husband and wife despite fighting still sleep on same bed and just wait it out till morning to see their next move, you don't just pack your bags and go.

Government should make polices that will give a stronger naira ie cut inflation and increase purchasing power simple. Salaries do not have to increase, with a stronger naira cost of goods will reduce. If you can buy eg Korope for 600k like it was sold few years ago instead of the 4.3m it is sold now, cost of transportation will crash.
Oil producers are seeing stronger currency today due to high oil prices thanks to the Iran war, they are filling up their reserves, from Russia to angola as for we it is stories, they say our oil has been sold in advance or used as collateral for igbese. Igbese used to buy airliner as presidential jet while we have no national airline, igbese used to build coastal road when the country has not stabilised economically, igbese used to fund city boys and all sorts not beneficial to the masses.
We need to produce more thats all....if we have more than enough rice than we can eat in the country prices will come down.....if we have more houses than we can live in,rent will come down.....thats what govt needs to focus on,we have wasted away decades we were supposed to use ti develop to corruption and lack of good governance....thats what we are suffering now..... I am not saying you must like tinubu but you need to pity whoever is the president of Nigeria this period because Nigeria is in a mess and solving the problems isn't going to be easy for the people.......we are now targeting a $1 tr economy by 2030.....thats huge ,thats increasing our gdp by 400% if our population is projected to grow to 250m by 2030,thats a per capita of about $4k thats will be really great for Nigerians and you will see living standards improve tremendously.....we only pray thus govt can keep the momentum going.

Commissioner of Police:
Good evening, sir. I need to discuss the recent release of the suspect. It's causing quite a stir.

Governor:
I assumed you'd be calling. Yes, I authorized his release. He's a valuable asset to my party.

Commissioner:
Sir, he's a known kidnapper and cultist. Public safety is at risk. This could escalate violence.

Governor:
My political interests come first. He's under my protection. Do your job quietly.

Commissioner:
With all due respect, sir, this decision jeopardizes lives. I can't support it.

Governor:
You support the law, but I support my party. Do what you must, but remember, loyalty to the state is loyalty to me.

Commissioner:
Understood, sir. But I warn you—public trust is fragile, and this may backfire.

Governor:
We'll see. Keep me informed, Commissioner.

Commissioner:
Yes, sir.

It doesn't really work that way all the time.....are you aware the main reason our police are often so irresponsible is because they owe no allegiance to the communities they are asked to protect but a far away police herachy in Abuja......but if the police men are from your locality, imagine your next door neighbour being a dpo fir your community, there is no way he won't be accountable first to that community......you know his family, you know his father you know his mother, his brothers and sisters, his in laws, you all live in the same community he will have no reason but to sit up and ensure that place his secure because he is vested in that place.. not like the current system we have where you don't even know the dpo of the division in your community or where he comes from or his family, he isn't accountable to you but to his bosses far away in abuja dat beyond your reach.

State police won't work in Nigeria.

No state has the resources to fund state police when even the government is struggling to find money for Nigeria police.

If you want a working state police, you need funds for jails , stations, communications equipment, forensic services, extensive records system, more judges , more lawyers for prosecution service, more detention facilities for juvenile prisoners , drones, armoured cars, helicopters, training facilities and I mean modern training facilities, not secandary school type buildings, all that would cost more money than Lagos spends and has in a year for one state.

I know I would be abused and called all sorts of names, but I also ask anyone reading this to watch police body cam videos on YouTube, and ask yourself if your state can provide the kind of stuff that local American city police has.

If we are setting up state police only to have them be blown away by bandits and armed thugs that have military grade weapons , then what is the use of state police.? To send more young men and women to Gehenna for nothing?

Let's not let APC deceive us with state police talk. As it stands e no go work. Not today, not tomorrow.

I haven't even mentioned the issues with tribalism, religion issues and politicians misusing them self
We have to start from somewhere, there are more than enough lawyers all over the country same as judges.......there isn't any state that can't build a prison and maintain it moreover the correctional service structure can still be maintained till states are able to build their own prisons, you can even have 2 states share a prison and fund.... also training facilities already exists and states from each zone can all share one.....as for equipments, are you aware state givts periodically donate to the federal police..... its a gradual process and each state will move at its own pace and spend based on it's security situation.....also fg will still give subventions to states most vulnerable pending when they can stand alone.

Since the electricity bill was signed into law two years ago, since power has been decentralized, how many state Governors have began the implentation?. How many states have began generating and distributing power?. Yet you see them boasting of huge allocations.

The only worry is ignorant folks and bitter losers who are still blaming the minister of power and calling out the President as if they didn't know every state can now generate its own power.

How are we sure they're ready to fund state police under them?. How are we sure they want to spend these fat allocations they receive on anything else apart from themselves?.

How many of them have allowed Local Government direct access to their allocations despite the Supreme Court judgement on Local Government autonomy?.

These Governors dey fall hand seriously.
The state policing structure will be funded by both federal and state govts......there will be federal subventions for vulnerable states.....its really no biggie deal, states already have some form of security network and have been donating equipments to the federal police......states will allocate budgets for local policing based on their circumstances and the people can be taxed for security levies which they are already paying in some form.

Your mattress will get stolen and u have to sleep on bare bunk like that.....you will be lucky to ever find it again.

Your bucket will get stolen sometimes you could be lucky to find it after 2 years.

Your check/uniform can easily get stolen and you end up with tattered cloths of you aren't careful.

You fetch your bathing water overnight to use early morning, you securely chain your bucket to the bed but the water inside is still vulnerable,I saw one drained perfectly with a hose......no bath for you the whole day......sometimes 3 people share a single bucket of water to bath.

Bandits had been existing in bosrding houses long before BH started disturbing our peace......they break into your locker and steal your provisions.

Cutleries, books, socks, sandals, desks, underwear etc anything and everything gets stolen in the boarding house.

Nigeria market is a beast on its own..
….Minimum wage already went from 33k to 70k … and ur prediction ddnt happen….. it never happens because the effect in real time isnt more money chasing fewer goods like economics teaches….

…because what yall dont get is… if govt increase minimum wage from 70k to 140k today….the increase isnt accross board all employers nation wide … only civil servant earn it and they are a small fraction…
Like I said the effect in real time isnt more money chasing fewer goods like economics teaches…. Nigerians are still as poor as hell and less money is chasing more goods in real time

there are millions earning 20k to 40k salary till today….. nothing concern private and the millions of informal sector with minimum wage…..More than 80% of Nigerians wont experience any increase in wage….

There are two major driving force of cost of goods in Nigeria.. its petrol cost but more the exchange rate because we are largely an import dependent nation….

Infact, Data showed recently that the jump of petrol price from 775 to 1400 has not dramatically increased price of all goods…
which proves the major driver is the exchange rate…. If exchange rate doubled today the way petrol did…. Cars, books,, sugar, cement, condoms, the cost of everything would have gone up times 4 in less than a week… even petrol will jump up than this because importers are and Dangote and buying crude in dollars
How do you expect private companies to cover for incresed minimum wage, more monies in the hands of people will push prices up......we arent self sufficient in food in anyway thereby our output isn't meeting our demand despite shoring up with imports.....if 5 ship loads of rice comes into this country we will consume all within the shortest possible time despite our low wages but if you increase wages with same level of supply we will have higher demand for rice which is a Nigerian staple as many who couldn't afford higher quantities can an will demand more for immediate consumption and storage and the market will respond accordingly.
