Worthless and disloyal Nigerian singers. Didn't Fela leave Nigerians a huge political, musical and social legacy - namely Protest Movement, Afrobeat and the tourist attraction Fela Shrine? What legacy are these new Nigerian musicians leaving for next generation? Merely being famous on the world stage as Nigerians is not a legacy.Fame and popularity are fleeting. Creating a music industry in Nigeria will also benefit them and they wouldn't need to go grovel in Ghana. |
Hypocrite, same as that idiot Flavor that was on youtube the other day effectively corroborating Shitty Wale and talking about how Nigerians should support all Africa musically in unity . Isn't tasteless Flavor an IPOB sympathizer? And why isn't Whizkid calling for unity in small Nigeria before tackling the matters of an entire continent ? |
Hoppeyhemmy:I suppose you're Town Meat until the name given you by your parent is made public. Cannibalism would make sense in this context . |
freddybonz:They are not Nigerians. After the Shatta Wole affair, you Nigerians are just being softened up again. There is a pattern . |
You Nigerians only have yourselves, your huge population is one of your few asset don't let that go! |
Instead of Nigeria's disloyal music stars going online ( e.g Flavor) to support Shatta Wole and talking of helping music stars from Ghana and elsewhere, they should be investing in young Nigerians. They should be laying the groundwork for sustainability of Nigeria music. Invest in music instruments manufacturing, stores, music making studios etc in Nigeria. Stop going over to Ghana to fawn around and act stupid. |
Nigeria should invest in the entertainment industry. It's a direct and indirect major earner for the US. Indirectly, it spreads US influence internationally, which in turn rewards US financially. Music industry revenue in the U.S. 2009-2020 The market size, measured by revenue, of the Movie & Video Production industry is $17.4bn in 2021. |
If she had died in Nigeria, eh, omg! CNN, Buhari, Fulani, Break up this contraption, ZOO, worst than zoo, why was I born in this shithole, yada-yada-yada without end. ![]() |
Lower level analysis: He, Wole, is probably after publicity, he has probably released a new song or album. The reverse side of this sort of tactic however, is that it trends Nigeria music industry and reinforces it's dominance. |
Benitoh:nothing to do with Nigeria's national leaders - except if you mean how unaware they are of the machinations of Ghana's leadership's clandestine demarketing of Nigeria that Nigerians blame on IPOB. Nigerian artists that patronize Ghana do so because they are dragged there by African Americans and Caribbeans with influence in the international music industry. They have setups there. These diasporasns - for want of a better term -resent Nigerians. They would rather that Ghana stars predominate in Africa and lead in bringing the international communities awareness of Africa's music but Nigeria's population has prevented this. Nigeria's talented musicians benefit from the Nigeria population that also are knowledgeable about what they want to hear. Now, in the inability to push Ghana stars to the fore these Ghanacentric African Americans and caribean want to dilute the Nigerian flavor of the Nigerian stars into one that has African American and Caribbean flavor in order to benefit their music industry and keep that as the dominant international music of black origin . Meanwhile they influence Nigeria stars over to Ghana, which is boring , where they are creating or intending to create a lively music and music producing hob in Africa. For Nigeria's music stars path, they are stupid to go along with this to the future detriment of Nigeria's music. This stupidity bordering on treachery they try to hide using supposed anger at Nigeria's political problem even to the extent of seeming to sympathize with break up Nigeria sentiments. The more negative they are about Nigeria the more they are embraced by their hosts in Ghana. |
OldNairalander:You haven't thought this through. It's just such a stupid, stupid idea. Actually, few ideas are worst. No imagined spirit in which individuals make such statements on Niaraland can excuse it. |
mutvy:No, but it will help the Republic of Crabistan's music industry, such is the mentality of the Black man. |
1Sharon:Genius! |
Phoenixflap:He who writes the book is master of its narrative. In other words, they (Arabs, Asians &Whites ) can change the story to suit themselves. Nigerians need to write thire own stories in other to exert whatever control is possible over fate. |
kehindebad:Indeed. Nigerians take pleasure in complaining and condemning and so govt leaves them much to complain about. it occupies the masses, makes them feel important since they then subconsciously believe that they are more capable than authorities. However, If the entire time Nigerians spent repeatedly pointing out the obvious was substituted with endless researching solutions to inform the right parties , I'm confident we would be in a better place . We certainly couldn't be worst off today. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dkjkh3OrjeA Neil deGrasse on the tragedy of Islam, see from frames 21:22 ....it's related to the fact that the Islamic world once lead in the sciences and progressive discoveries. Imagine the Islamic world's glorious past-from vast explorations of the earth to virtually inventing astronomy and mathematics to nowadays wrestling with women's' skirts and beheading schoolchildren The main Islamic nations of the middle east need to disassociate the fate from those niggardly black priggers we see on videos proudly swaggering across the dry NE scrublands , firing machine guns and mowing down subsistence men, women and children in their villages, saying they are doing Islam. There's nothing prideful about that; sheer disgrace and an utter indictment on a once noble philosophy. |
Women is the religion's Achilles hill. As long as women accept their current status within Islam, the religion won't change. |
DisLifeSha:The eventual role of women and women's actions in asserting equality in all aspects of religious life within the philosophy will be the spark that ruins or revolutionises Islam in the coming decades. |
Pan Africanists are often huge hypocrites and - worst for actual progressiveness of Africa- rabid Centralists... |
Jayjobs:To Togo go, just be careful at the airport ![]() |
One thing though, knowing Nigerians, i would comfortable bet that those that were unprofessionally manhandled by the Togolese officials are among Nigerians that ordinarily think very highly of Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana, Rwanda and so on while cussing Nigeria. Majority on Nairalanders are similar. Barely a day skips this forum without so-called Nigerians arguing how Nigeria is the worst place on earth and how these African nations are advanced destinations. Yet when they visit these places expecting civilized customer service and instead receive jungle justice, they bleat and expect our sympathetic support which we invariably lend them. We would flood media space fighting for them, defending their honor and human rights expectations at the expense of our time, electricity bill and internet data (the very electricity they say we don't have). But they are never grateful to Nigeria that hosts Nigerians. Take Nigeria musicians, in spite of all the support Nigerians lend them, they still put down Nigeria and establish homes in places Like Ghana. Only Davido seem to me to respect and honor Nigerians. Nigerians need to respect, love and honor themselves and their country. Your country is your country, shitty or not, you need to love your country, politicians come and go but the land bares your weight and history. The other day all of you "Nigerians" were defending and fighting for Ghana against South Africa in their football controversy; now, how many Africans are here on the side of Nigerians against the barbaric and primitive actions that may have resulted in their deaths at that airport ? I shared the post above as a way of recording this thread for quick future reference. |
Sometimes when you think you're impressing the world, lol. I haven't watched the vid: i try not to be angry because then i can get pretty abusive and i don't want to abuse fellow African nations, i dislike them enough as it is and only nowadays value Nigeria in Africa. Anyway, from the perspective of a Caribbean friend who watched the video, she couldn't get over how primitive and weak the Togolese officials seemed. According to her, over thirty of them were wrestling one Nigerian man, who pulled them hither and thither, and they couldn't best him. I guess women too often view things from the perspective of physical strength. She is unable to believe when i told her that it would seem that Togolese on social media are quite proud of what went on. |
