I thought Nigerians claim Generals and politicians steal all their money ? The image depicts the family of a very brave man of modest means who gave the last of himself to a usually ungrateful nation. |
Icouldhave:Op, you've described Pride and in some ways an almost admirable type of pride. Unlike in the title of your submission, you've not indicated in what you elaborated on, any indication that you want others to fail, which would generally be accepted as a negative thing. You want to be the one helping others and not others helping you. You have the underpinnings of grate individual. |
GabrielYulaw:Actuality, where is Bidexii? |
If the woman is Nigerian then those able need to do what they can to help her. As a woman + with children, helping her is more important than questioning and cussing her. She can be questioned later. |
PizzleGold:Sharrap dia, India that has caused the deaths of possibly millions of Nigerians through the sale of fake drugs, how many times have Nigerians harassed Indians in Nigeria ? |
benuejosh:Indeed. Due to the fact that the very best architects, cutting edge developers and town planners are international and borderless, any nation could, including Dubai again, limited only by money, vision and will. Maintenance is another issue. Abuja is currently going downhill; nothing, save money and world opinion, prevents Nigeria clearing up districts and commissioning state-of-the-development towns. Our crappy cities and towns aren't evidence of |
Sebastine1994:You want Nigerians to be ashamed, ok, after being ashamed what next? Bet your aim is for them to start praising and worshiping other countries... As if worshiping another country is not something to be even more ashamed of doing... ![]() |
The exchange rate between the naira and dollar strengthened to N535/$1 at the black market a significant rise from N570/$1 which it has traded at for days now. Nairametrics confirmed this through multiple BDC operators who also trade at black market prices. The last time the exchange rate traded as low as N535/$1 was in the early September suggesting this is a two month high for the local currency. Why is the Naira appreciating? Nairametrics interviewed some key players in the FX market to find out the reason for the recent appreciation. Lucky F. Agana, managing director of Gulkay integration services said the appreciation of the Naira is directly related to CBN’s intervention in the market https://nairametrics.com/2021/11/10/naira-gains-massively-to-n535-1-at-black-market-as-cbns-forex-policy-scores-major-point/ |
stayclearofme:Apologies, stayclearofme, i misquoted you. I thought your question was directed at me instead you were rightly qustioning Discusant. |

Nigeria's population is guessed, a thorough censors is obviously needed. However, If Nigeria's population has become approximately 210 - 250 million when only 2 decades ago it was only about 20 million more than that of Ethiopia's population ( Nigeria's population doubles that of Ethiopia now I've observed occasionally reading online articles ) I'd wager influx from the rest of West Africa is responsible. I'd wager that a West Africa wide population research would reveal an inexplicable decline or relative stagnation in the population growth of many West African nations inversely proportional to the growth in Nigeria's population over the period studied . |

Hoverbird:In nations abroad, since events of the Occasion is of such National significance, and if it attained international interest as Lekki did, organisers of the event would want to ensure that victims receive recognition for their sacrifices and enduring remembrance. Towards this end, there would be photos of all the victims named collected and published where possible and shown on Television. Their photos would be printed on large cards to be raised at planed candle lit vigil. Family members willing would be interviewed. Then at some point in future, relevant parties (e.g DJ whats-her-name, protest organizers, sorowo etc) would organise fundraising events to help the families financially and as a mark of respect and gratitude. Dragging Nigeria forward require everyone playing their part, the onus shouldn’t just rest alone on highlighting deficiencies in the paramilitary and political system. Organisers of the Lekki protest now need to go further than just exposing guilty parties, they need to also demonstrate - in how they honor those killed - what the civilised and responsible society they want resembles. I would argue that in many ways this is more important than Proving the brutality and human rights abuses of the police and military. |
Hoverbird:What is planned in memory of the deceased and compensation of their families ? |
IbileIfe:He was fortunate to school where it seems women are accorded little respect. In Delta state, he would have been severely beaten up by real men for going as far as he boasted. If he managed to get away, he would forever be looking over his shoulder for fear of reprisals from the woman's relatives. Beside this, he would be labelled a coward and a womanwraper. |
OssyMalik:But arnt you placing a curse on yourself by stating, "who constantly denied there was no killing during the end sars protest" ? by denying the was no killing aren't you claiming that killings took place? |
AustineE1:Lies Not true but i wish that it was true. Nearer the truth is that Nigerians, or those that seem to speak for Nigerians to the world online, condemn absolutely everything Nigerian. No nation can rise under the weight of the hate and condemnation of EVERYTHING to do with their country as Nigerians do to Nigeria. If people want to celebrate the little in their lives let them. Those of us that are displeased with the level and standard of developments in Nigeria may better help by suggesting better instead of trying to coerce the people negatively. |

If it is that clear and accepted by all that this girl was innocent, why did the Ivorians not free her? Why would they need some sort of consular intervention? Is Ivory Coast a banana Republic? |
RZArecta:Does the Ivory Coast system bare any responsibility for this girl's unlawful imprisonment and death? Or is Nigeria always responsible? What if the case was reversed and it was an Ivorian girl wrongly accused, imprisoned and |
Breastfeed:Why not if the extent of the natives' dreams and future ambition is to kill, burn and kidnap the hell out of each other.... |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cfx_w5EYmDk I'm sorry but it pisses me off when i see Nigerians complaining and shouting, killing and destroying all in the name of 'We Are Suffering!!!' with your big wide mouths. You have all you need in Nigeria, stop complaining, help and work for beach other, face growing Nigeria and stop trying to shirk responsibility for developing your nation. |
MANY residents of the FCT have offered various reasons for the neglect of pedestrian bridges, including its relative distance from bus stops in some cases and the extra time required to complete the journey across. The cause is probably the "Monkey at the Tea Party" syndrome I.E you may take the monkey away from the bush but you cannot take the bush away from the monkey. When the Monkey travels to Europe or North America, the Monkey apes the behavior it sees around it. The Monkey is always at its best behavior in the West, minding its Ps and Q's, because the monkey wants to impress the natives but deep down the call of the Bush is a raging swirl. When the monkey returns to Africa, it is at last free to abandon itself to the call of the bush, thus will it consider Pedestrian Bridges fit only for squatting and shitting when, while in Europe or America, it happily emulated the natives there, crossing pedestrian bridges as they do. Sometimes, it would even shout at the top of its voice, while crossing the pedestrian bridge amongst the throng of Americans or Europeans, 'oh how civilized it is to be in Europe or America unlike Africa where governments are so corrupt , they would not dine even to consider a thing such as this wonderful bridge, that spans the busy road, for the contrivance of the general safety of all, you know!' The James Webb space telescope is the largest and most powerful ever built, with capabilities that dwarf those of the Hubble space telescope. Described as a “time machine”, its mission will be to show us what the universe looked like in its infancy more than 13 billion years ago. It is so sensitive that it could detect the light from a single candle on one of Jupiter’s moons. It may be able to detect signs of life on Exo planets, light years away..... |
Tochi3:Military cant win, can they? If they kill Unknown gunmen in the East you'll presumably cry ,'Optical Killing, why don't they kill terrorist in the North?' but when they kill terrorists in the north, you'll dismiss it as 'Audio killing'. ![]() |
