People have a knack for going on about Sony blah blah blah for whatever reason. If it was like Bose or Harmann Kardon those ones I know it's sound that is their niche I would understand and pay 5 times the value of an lg home theatre. Sony on the other hand produces too many things to start claiming a niche for one thing here abeg
Stick to the LG home theatre abeg you'll get good value for your money

Last one I had I sold to my rewire cos the thing was just there starring at me in the house

Afterwards looked like the sitting room was empty so I got another when I got the tv. I can count how many times Ive used the home theatre.

Turning on home theatre especially at night means creating one kind impression to the neighborhood so volume is rather low so you switch to tv speaker

The fact is that I may end up not even using the HT, as I dnt like anything noise and my neighbourhood is always quiet. The HT may just be there to decorate d living room.

Nothing new here. It was widely reported in d media including nairaland two or three years ago that the owner of globalcom has paid for the spot he would be buried in one of the high brow cementary in Lagos state, I think in Ikoyi. He paid scores of millions for the spot.

Impure in all my usage here relates to how it is heard comparatively with Central Urhobo dialect. No offence intended and sorry to the Uvwie people if any was implied.

Why described the Uvwie dialect as "impure" Urhobo. I take exception to that. U would have as well describe the Udu, okpe dialect as impure Urhobo. Every Urhobo clan as their own unique dialect.. Appreciate that uniqueness.

nahhhhhh, presently for clear stunning picture quality, there is no TV that can beat LG, have u come close and watch moving pictures in these latest LG led tvs? Especially the 49 inch led ultra hdd series? My brother, it seems like watching something live and not TV. Stunning visuals. I use to have a 32 inch Samsung plasma TV but d day I noticed d clearity and stunning visuals of d LG TV series over other brands expecially Samsung I packed my TV and sent it to my elder sis in bayelsa. I gave her. I vowed never to buy any other brand of TV except LG. I just love d brand.

OK, I would go for LG. Which one is ultra had series? I only know of full HD display. Please if u have a particular model number in mind, do well to let me know about it. I need a 49/50 inch LED. I don't want the ones with satellite function, as their prices are on the high side.

a bit high for 150k, if shoprite can sell for 140k then LG shops should sell at that price too. Though those Lebanese salesmen are from fouanni, the official distributors of authentic LG products in naija. LG rocks

I would visit shoprite in Warri to see what they have to offer. I want to get it right, dnt want to buy anything fake. The LG depot I visited is the biggest in Warri and they usually sell genuine LG products, but I was disappointed they dont have enough TV in stock. I would visit shoprite and three mega LG depot around me before buying.

OK, many thanks. I may consider getting the one with satellite function. But the price the guys in LG depot are giving me is one d high side. They told me the 49 inch with satellite function is about 150k. I would work towards getting one soonest.

You are right. I couldn't see a fifty inch LG LED in four mega LG depot in Warri. I was told they only come in forty nine inch, but I would prefer a fifty inch. They are selling theirs for N115 also. But this one has no free satellite function. I m planning to get mine in two weeks time by God's grace. What particular model did u eventually buy?

em, i guess you go for a home theatre system that tags with your tv. If you would want a lg 50" smart tv then go for a lg home theatre system as they will match with there black style. Is not that sony ain't good bt buying what is commonly populous in the market will give you an upper hand when the need of parts arises to fix faulty parts. This is explosive, educative and informative. Thanks for taking d pain to put down this eye opening piece. Ur opinion on d home theatre is quite true. Most people seldomly use d HT in dia homes, as they are always tuned to dia TV watching programmes than may be playing music with d HT. This would also be my case, d HT would just be there to decorate d living room. I would follow ur suggestion to get both LG tv and LG HT.

I would wait for the models of d LG LED TV u would recommend. Please if u know of any good 55inch LG without satellite function, do well to include it.

Lg and Samsung for me has been on a tie after all research i have long conducted on both. Some will say Samsung is the best in terms of picture quality, others will say Lg has the best parts that can stand the test of time and some other statements. I think both of them are the best if you eventually buy the original product, but i will say conduct an online test of a particular model(50" you like well, read reviews fully of people who had used them before you purchase them that will motivate you to finalize your mind on the choice you would want to go for. As for some smart Tvs with satellite function do exist where you will have to connect them to an antenna to receive free digital television stations.

No need belabouring the obvious. In university of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), there are many full fledged HODs who are not professors. There are even few HODs who are working hard to get their PhD, they only have their masters but they are senior lecturers who have published widely. In UNN, I know of a Dean of faculty who is not a professor, though he has a PhD. It is same situation in many state uni.

The attack on this guy and ABU is unnecessary.
