I want you to begin by asking yourself, why do I hate North this much? Do they hate me this much in return or am I just dancing on my own?
Well, to tell you the truth, nobody cares about you up North, so you can go and hug a nearby transformer. |

since the fg intentionally failed in it's responsibility the people must protect themselves in order not to go into extinction LandMann: We all should put emotions, tribalism and ethnic hatred aside and examine this issue of Ametokun based purely on its merits and demerits and in light of existing laws.
The following points should guide us:
1. Internal security is an exclusive task of the FG. FG can give authority to state or local actors to improve security. Example; local vigilantes and some paramilitary organisation like Man o War must acquire police permission before operating... This is an example of FG giving other actors permission to act in improving security.
2. There's no federal law or agreement between federal and state outlining the activities to be covered by Ametokun, given the existence of police, nscdc and other existing internal security outfit... This agreement or law is important to avoid conflict between these organisations when issues of security occur. We're still dealing with superiority contest between FRSC, VIO, NSCDC, YELLOW FEVER, POLICE AND ARMY on our highways...
3. With no national law or agreement coupled with high level of illiteracy and unprofessionalism of most state workers, state governments can quickly start using Ametokun as instrument of oppression and a means of further looting state resources because security spending is often shrouded in secrecy, and even Ametokun members can take to crimes as side hustle when they start feeling dissatisfied with their salary. They have the training and the instrument of force (guns)... Who's going to prevent them from misusing both and how?
The above are just some issues worth considering.
If all the loopholes are properly plugged, then Ametokun can kick off.
We shouldn't cheer on the idea even with the obvious loopholes because it can quickly spread, every region can quickly have their own version of Ametokun and it won't be long before outside actors start smuggling weapons to these different regional Ametokuns and with the existing ethnic hatred, it won't take long before another civil war arises that will tear Nigeria apart and make current Libya and Iraq look like heaven compared to how Nigeria will look like.
We should protect our country, not our states or region or ethnic enclave. |

According to the law he has powers over the traditional institutions and they are all answerable to him.
It is the europeans that denigraded our traditional institutions a long time ago and institutionalised the sacrileage using their so called democracy. Which ofcourse has been bastardized by African politicians. |

it doesn't matter its state or region, that will be soughted out in due course. 1st protect and secure your region from helplessness which is being systematically enforced on you. Coldie: Its illegal. State police is much more legal than regional police. Having a regional police is a call for anarchy.
This is how the Biafran war started one person having power over a regional militia, next thing u know they take on the whole country |

so that they can disarm you, silence and relegate you to the background, enslave and force their will on you and kill you whenever they want. southerners are so foolish, especially their greedy self serving leaders. the handwriting has been on the wall for so long but they choose to ignore it and pretend its nothing while empowering the north against themselves. now they want to cry, maybe its too late now, don't forget the useful idiots are still there faithfully serving their masters and their pockets while betraying their own and selling off their future for peanuts. |

its very funny.when you are the one killing its ok, but when you are the one killed, it becomes wrong that can not be tolerated. Snowale: Though, these can't lead to any world war, but the truth should be said. Why would U.S just invade someone else's country and kill someone, because he was tagged terrorist. If that's the case, why can't U.S. just help us kill Nnamdi Kanu, because Nigerian government tagged him and his group terrorists. Hundreds of thousand of Iranian and Iraqi came out to mourn his death. Nnamdi Kanu would also be mourn by the Igbos, if killed. There is different between a "tagged terrorist" and a "terrorists proper", Souleiman was loved by his people, and they are not happy with U.S being on their land, U.S should take her soldiers away from Iraq and Iran and should let go their oil. This is more of politics than war, just like in the case of Nigeria. |
