Good day great people. I never knew a platform like this existed on nairaland. I've been reading peoples comment since morning and I really appreciate the advice and useful suggestions. I really think you should not delay your online application for ielts. The exam board will forward your score directly to the school, provided you gave them the school's details during the exam. However, if you did not, you should still go ahead and complete the online application. You can upload your score when it's ready. Good you have applied so early.

Okay. So, if I got you right, securing 100% tuition waiver means you will work (except if awarded a fellowship) and still earn monthly stipends. However, you could be a GA/RA without waiver. Right?

Okay! There's need for clarification on funding and GA/RA positions. By funding, you could be offered 50%-100% tuition waiver. Now, do you have to work as a GA/RA in return for this? Normally, you are paid monthly stipends working as a GA/RA. Is this also a (or THE) means of funding to cushion the effect of the tuition? If receiving tuition waiver does not require to work as a GA/RA, is it possible to secure it and still work as a GA/RA?

PS: As we research on schools to apply to, let's share info on the ones we discover or know to be certain for funding of up to 100%.

Comrades, I need your opinion here. How do you handle the uncertainty of your test score with respect to sending it to your desired school? In essence, you have identified your desired schools but are not sure if you will meet their required scores on the test day. Do you go ahead and send irrespective of the score, or, do you before the day of the test make provision for alternative schools that accept average GRE scores, say 300-305?

Then u're getting it right...except ur choice uni and/or course is not part of the shared programme this year. The prospectus is here http://cscuk.dfid.gov.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/prospectus-shared-scholarships-2016.pdf . U will find info abt d Shared scholarship and d list of eligible unis. The eligible courses r also here http://cscuk.dfid.gov.uk/apply/shared-scholarships/courses/

Nice bro. I managed to figure it out and started the app. As par the eligible courses, let's clarify. Are those courses listed as the ones u can choose from if you are selecting the respective UK school as your nominating agency, or are they generally the restrictions also for those applying through their home countries?

The two are accessed thru d CSC website and u apply for d two using the EAS. The difference is when u're starting ur new application on the EAS after registration. You will be asked which scholarship type u want to apply to when starting ur application. That is where u select "Shared"

I did select 'shared' and was taken to the current page where only UK unis are listed as the nom agencies. Please paste the link.

Bro u're mixing up application for Commonwealth Shared and the regular CSFP Commonwealth (FSB). In Shared, ur nominating agency is d UK uni u intend choosing. In CSFP, ur nominating agency is either FSB or a naija uni (if u're staffed there).

Oh my! Isn't csc the one FSB nominates for? Please elaborate. Also provide link to the appropriate one.

But confusing is the fact that it was stated that your nominating agency has to be from your home country, but while applying, you will be expected to choose a foreign uni for this.

Newcastle is part of the Nominating schools. You are going about it the right way. You just need to check if the course you chose is among the listed courses for your chosen school

Newcastle is actually not listed. Checked dilligently. Could only be if it's listed in another name.

I have an offer at newcastle uni (not listed among the nominating schools) and sheffield hallam (this one is listed), but I want to pursue that of newcastle. Plus, what I'm applying for is the commonwealth shared scholarship via EAS. Am I going about it the wrong way? How did you do yours?

My lexus rx 300, '99 model is experiencing this same prob. I did scanning and I got the following report:
P0171- System too lean Bank 1
P0100- Mass or volume air flow A circuit
C0301- Please refer to vehicle service maual
P0141- O2 sensor heater cirucit Bank 1 sensor 2
P0441- Evaporative emission system incorrect purge flow
P0446- Evaporative emission system vent control circuit.

After clearing, only P0171 was still showing.
Please I need your suggestions and ideas on fixing the problem.


PS: I just replaced my exhaust net (or what's the technical name for it now) but just discovered yesterday that it is still leaking somewhere. Not welded it yet.

akin08, please how did you document your proof of English language sufficiency while applying to NTNU? Did you take TOEFL ?

NTNU does not require eng lang test from Nigerian, so need for any documentation. However, you may still obtain a letter from your uni certifying that you had your undergrad edu in english.

Hello house, I was able to forward 31 persons' details to HC. I sent 26 yesterday and 5 this evening. Any one sent after 5pm couldnt be forwarded as the timeline elapsed. For those who tried to contact me during the day, sorry I don't visit social sites during working hours for obvious reasons. Now its left for HC to peruse the template and send invites for the test. Its definately coming up this month so you guys can begin to prepare. Invites are normally sent via mail so please always check your mail including spam folder because some invites drop there. Its hard to take when you expecct something and still miss it while its there with you. Goodluck to you all.

2. Considering that it's policy to not sit for test twice within 12months, what happens to those who applied for this opening, but have recently written the test?

BUT, fretting about the cash won't help o. You are taking the test, so you can study in a good school. Everything else doesn't matter. The negative marking on the GRE is exam anxiety.
