Looking at the law itself, it is easy to see that it was created a long time ago before the Internet Age (fine of 400 Naira) so the idea behind it was far from revenge porn; rather it was to curb the distribution of any article deemed inappropriate. Therefore the originator of the material itself is already guilty. If you take it to court, it becomes easy for a defense lawyer to turn the case against the prosecution.

This is not America or Europe where there is public sympathy for anybody who shares explicit photos that become public; this is Nigeria where there is recrimination and disgust towards such an act - recall Chidinma and the Cucumber.

Thanks. After checking that law, I already see a loophole; the law if applied will also convict the initial "distributor" of the photo, that is, the girl herself. No where in the law protects the supposed "victim" of revenge porn from being prosecuted herself under same law. If this goes to court, she may end up as the accused eventually.

This is not like in the UK where the law on revenge porn explicitly protects the "victim" using the intention of the "distributor" as a discriminant - in which case the initial distributor shared the article merely for entertainment while the perpetrator distributed same article to cause the victim distress. Can you see the difference? You really need to do a proper logic check on laws before trying to apply them.

That's a universal interpretation. AND means what it is. A man/woman AND the children doesn't in any way translate to a man/woman alone or children alone. It must be man/woman AND children. If u consult a lawyer, he will enlighten u well on that subsection 1, he will explain to u that in legal proceedings, 'for the benefit of a woman AND the children' is very different from 'for the benefit of a woman OR the children'. The earlier makes it clear that it's only binding when children are involved but the latter is binding even when only woman is involved.
