stag: Not many understand your line of thought. The retroviruses that dealt with them is now the weapon to be used on their cash cows. Once again, their questionable claims are being hailed as giant strides.
HIV was pure scam. Bogus claims, bogus statistics, Its a bigger shame that even doctors here can not see beyond their noses.
The villagers in the remote area Ebola was said to originate from cried out that they saw the foul play with the series of events that triggered their friends, family members becoming sick and die but what did our African presidents/media do? Shut down down and out and their outburst never got media attention again.
Create a virus. Infect them. Create maximum fear and tension. 'Discover' its cure. And voila! Billions in dollars starts flying and exchanging hands while being hailed as heroes.
O Thou slumbering Africa! Read more here: http://www.thefreelibrary.com/AIDS+and+the+black+death%3A+a+new+PBS+documentary+connects+HIV+and+the...-a094079748 About 12% to 16% of Europeans are immune to retroviruses. No such group exists in Africa. |

collinsVP: That poverty is not the major rationale for emigration but the quest for economic expansion which is the hallmark of any community of people endowned with the natural and economic what it takes to penetrate any part of the world and establish.
The rail tracks we are today revamping, was built by Europeans to siphon oil and other raw materials to Europe.
So, Emigration is invariably not born out of poverty but economic derive. Your argument would hold water if the Igbo similar to the colonialists you are comparing yourself to were already superior in the areas of military and organization. On the contrary the evidence shows that the Igbos were behind in those areas compared to the other major ethnic groups. But you can continue to delude yourself of superiority. It's your prerogative. It sure definitely looks like delusion when you compare your wanderlust driven by economic factors to that of the colonialists; whose was driven purely by subjugation and greed. |

anonimi: What stops Africans from finding a vaccine for HIV to counter what you allege is an ulterior motive Once again, Africans ALWAYS had a cure for whatever ailments they had been exposed to for a long time. That's why the claims that HIV started from a forest in Africa, likewise Ebola are questionable claims; despite the fact that both are known to be retroviruses which have historically ravaged Europe for millennia. |

Also Ibos have a remarkable enterpreneurial spirit, and they will go anywhere, even in the clutches of death, to do business! When I read one of your post where you stated the "Ojukwu liquidated Banjo and his family" I was embarrassed on your behalf as it was clear your knowledge of history was not just poor; it was disgraceful. Learn more about your history Mr Man. Then a lot of things can be seen with lucidity. |

I've always posited that for Ndigbo to reach our full potential in life, either the polity needs to be restructured or we need to be in a separate country from the Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba.....no other way! Hahaha. Blame Nnamdi Azikiwe and Ironsi for your plight. |

Wait, let's even start with thousands. How many had thousand banked? Wait a minute, let's start with hundreds. Maybe you don't know the average annual salary at the time was not even up to £20. |

sunsewa: even in China that mostly abhors foreign packaged stuffs, has numerous superstores in China, like French carrefour, lotus,Walmart competing with their local stores that don't have full foreign items like fresh Titus fish sold in carrefour can't be seen in chinese market or departmental stores, also Lipton and sardines and other stuffs, same things is applicable to Walmart in Nigeria, u get stuffs in Europewalmarts in Nigeriawalmarts that u can't see elsewhere. You can't see where you got it wrong there? You are comparing Nigeria (a developing/emerging economy) to China (an established economy). China shut their doors to foreigners TILL their locals were ready to compete with them; and then allowed them in AFTERWARDS. Nigeria is putting the cart before the horse. |

1 Walmart will create jobs for local youth 2 pay more taxes 3 source products directly from manufacturer and cutting out the numerous middlemen 4 cheaper . 5Raise the profile of the southwest 6 farmers will benefit from direct relationships 7 Hopefully stop all those rural / urban migration of unskilled people and farmers .
If Buhari gets it right and the economy kicks into gear , then 4x 4 are sitting ducks . Not so enthusiastic as you maybe because I know they won't be here if they were doing so well back in the US. So they had to go looking for "New Frontier". Let's see how it goes sha; but I know small businesses will fold up in thousands. |

EdCure: What will Asaba people say on this occasion? I recently watched a documentary on the Asaba Massacre. Whoever led that group of war criminals is not worth celebrating by any sane human. Maybe you should focus on the matter of this thread or keep quiet. Otherwise I will say who ever led the Biafran soldiers who committed the pogroms I quote below definitely is not human. Note, these acts were committed before the Asaba massacre. At Abudu, over 300 bodies, including those of children, were found in the Ossiomo river as the Biafrans withdrew. [46]
Similarly, on 20 September 1967, 'there was a mass killing of non-Ibo MidWesterners at Boji-Boji Agbor', and on 23 September, 'non-Ibo speaking MidWesterners were apprehended by rebel soldiers at Asaba, Ibusa and Agbor and taken [in two lorries] to a rubber plantation along Uromi-Agbor road and massacred'.[47]
The more minor cases of rape, extortion, seizure of properties, and other punishments featured abundantly. http://rethinkingbiafra..com/2012/10/biafran-war-crimes-horror-in-midwest.html |

jomonic: Blah blah blah...Biafra was over powered by the Nigerian forces who were powered by the arsenals donated by the world powers. That to me is cowardice and nothing to be proud of. Only cowards like your brothers OBJ and Gowon and the like will continue to lay claims to greatness based on their civil war records. Yes Biafra was overpowered and so was France in 1871 by Germany who occupied the French state of Alsace for over 40years and were very arrogant in the process. But Germany gave back the city of Alsace in 1917 with their heads down under the ultimatum occasioned by the "Treaty of versailles". Injustice my friend does not last forever. LMAO. Typical. We were talking about the atrocities committed by Biafrans in the Mid-Western Region. But he found a way to start crying about how Biafrans suffered "injustice". Keep on crying. Need a tissue? |
