Sincere4u:Look, the only important part of your post is in bold. It is a pointer. The coup had NOTHING to do with Awolowo so I don't know why you keep trying to connect it to him. The only well known politician whom was proved to have knowledge and was directly connected to the coup was Nnamdi Azikiwe whom you should know was Ifeajuna's cousin, and whom of course could even be said to be partly responsible for Awolowo being jailed. |
Sincere4u:Are you not the same person who said he was not aware of the "we wanted to install Awolowo as President" lie? So why the epistle since you were not aware? Indeed I'm aware you have the "Biafran version" which I just deconstructed with facts. All you have are stories that cannot stand up to scrutiny and logic. |
cheruv:Interesting... |
Sincere4u:Guy, I will only help you here because I see you are not familiar with Nigerian history. They NEVER planned to install Awolowo; that was the lie they sold to Ademoyega whom they needed, was the only Nigerian Army officer with training on Signals and Operations and he was Yoruba. He was also the last to be recruited. Without him, they would not have been able to coordinate the operations. If there was really a plan to install Awolowo, breaking him out of jail in Calabar would have been high on the priority list. We know that never happened. Furthermore, on a later date after Ademoyega came across Ifeajuna, they got into a physical fight because he (Ademoyega) realized he had been taken for a f00l. |
xtrorse:Unsurprisingly, English/comprehension is not your forte. |
xtrorse:Oh no I'm Yoruba not Igbo. Don't mix up my ethnicity. ![]() |
xtrorse:Have you read anywhere that Ademoyega personally shot any of those killed in January 1966? That should tell you something (assuming you have a brain that is). |
sunnyb0b0:Aha! IBB. Now, knowing how poor an administrator IBB was, would you consider the move a good idea? See the mess he created at the ports! It took years during Obasanjo's regime to clear a bit of the mess. But it still is there. All manner of garbage being imported. He was the one who turned Nigeria into a nation of consumers. Nothing produced. Anyway, story for another day. Adebowale was not smiling so much as you would want to imagine. TVs were relatively expensive, and this was a period of recession (which started back in 1982 or thereabout). Check even the US back in the 60s. Only multi-millionaires and billionaires had more than one TV. And that was JUST 20 years from the 80s! But check now; people even have TVs in their kitchens. It was the sign of the times. |
xtrorse:Hahahaha...see your foolishness in market center. So, the only Igbo killed in 1966 was Unegbe. Very good. He refused to allow the release of weapons (apparently he was also the most sensible Igbo in the military because he already could see the repercussions of his brothers actions). So, what led to the following being murdered in their beds: Sir Ahmadu Bello, Akintola, Ademulegun and his PREGNANT WIFE, Balewa, Okotie Eboh, Maimalari, and the rest... Did they also prevent soldiers from getting weapons? |
sunnyb0b0:"Kind of"? And you are a student of history; speaking in abstract and murky terms. Which sensible country will not have regulated importation? OK, I get it: you and your kind thrive in free-for-all scenarios...chaos. And who was it that "liberalized" importation? Was it the Igbos? |
babadee1:It does baffle that you need to explain basic and standard immigration law and implications to adults. You see how they think? After establishing Biafra, they think they still have the right to roam about Yorubaland even without visas or residency permits. LOL. |
GuyfawkesAB:LOL. It baffles the mind. |
sunnyb0b0:You guys and your victim mentality. The system that was skewed against the Igbos then suddenly allowed the Igbos to import in the 80s? What changed? What you should analyze is this: 1. How many NIGERIANS (not just Igbo) had surplus money to start a business in post war Nigeria? Or you think only Igbos suffered financially? 2. How come we can only remember Adebowale? Surely, if the system favored Yorubas, many others would have set up and opened shop. Why didn't this happen? Don't blame the man if he somehow was able to raise capital to start a business during trying times. |
sunnyb0b0:OK, I hear. But remember, when I mentioned Adebowale, even YOU knew his headquarters. *light-bulb* |
EasternLion:LOL. Did you draw that? Are you in nursery school? |
Sincere4u:I will leave you for the Biafrans to tackle. ![]() |
zendy:Get it right; Awolowo never advocated for Nigeria neither did Ahmadu Bello. Zik of Africa was the only regional leader who had such aspirations. |
sunnyb0b0:What's your uncle's name? Where was his head office? |
sunnyb0b0:Another distortion of history. NO Igbo was selling any genuine or high grade products in the 80s. But I don't blame you; I blame the market. ![]() |
Eastlink:LMAO. The typical Igbo penchant for distorting history and starting stories from the middle. I guess Nzeogwu who killed Ahmadu Bello was not Igbo? (Of course, just watch as he tells us he's not REAL Igbo). Ifeajuna and Chris Anufuro who murdered Abubakar Balewa, Okotie Eboh, Maimalari, Ademulegun, Ademulegun's PREGNANT WIFE and Sodeinde were not Igbo. Onwuatuegwu who murdered Akintola was not Igbo. Mind you, these murders were committed at the dead of night as these men slept on their beds; completely unarmed (except for Akintola who saw it coming). |
thewarrior72:Go already so I can heave a sigh of relief. Be gone! All this Internet noise. Go and make Biafra happen and stop buzzing in our ears. |
steppin:Once again, if you have headache, it is none of my bizwacks. Just go and make Biafra happen and stop buzzing online. I can't wait to see you gone. |
sunnyb0b0:Well, maybe I shouldn't have given that away. That should've been a trick up the sleeve of the government of Western Nigeria; which you guys DEFINITELY wouldn't have seen coming because you lack foresight. sunnyb0b0:Are the British and Americans buying substandard products? Why are you trying to be clever? Look, we all know the Chinese have like 4 grades of products. And we know the Nigerian market was flooded with substandard goods from the 80s till date. It was an unfortunate period for entrepreneurs who had their names and reputations to protect. Nigerians chose substandard products because of the recession as crude oil fell to the lowest of lows. So yes, we know better now. |
steppin:Guy, if you are bereaved, that is your problem. I have nothing but joy in my heart in the hope that Biafra is realized; and I wish you luck. Stop making noise here and go and make it happen. |
discusant:I know why you like to distort history - you have none. Just to be clear, Awolowo gave £20 to Igbos who couldn't provide evidence of having money with banks. Those who had proof got their money. It's also not surprising that you refer to £20 of the 70s as paltry. Those with a sense of history will tell you that most Nigerian were not even making up to that in a year. But many of you will come online with lies your fathers told you of how they lost millions because of Awo. Millions? Civil servants and petty traders had millions in their accounts? Get real. |
thewarrior72:Have you noticed I have never mentioned how you will fare in Biafra itself? I am merely giving you a hint of how you will be pushed out. Though I shouldn't be doing you that favor because you lack foresight hence your proclivity for self destructive behavior. |
steppin:Mumu. We don't need oil. And even Lagos, Ogun and Ondo have oil. Let me tell you a bit of history (which of course is not your forte because you have none), University of Ibadan and so many other structures you see on Yorubaland were built on cocoa money. It didn't stop your brothers though, as usual to come and try to usurp it through the VC. So, continue to delude yourself that you sense fear in my post. It's also one of the maladies that afflicting your ethnicity - delusion. |
steppin:LOL. You guys are full of it. Continue to demonize the Yorubas. You talk as if the Northerners like you. Well, as I have often said, your ethnicity must suffer from a genetic mutation that makes foresight impossible. So don't call me a prophet when I tell you this (for free): When (notice I said "when" not "if" because I'm hoping it happens) you get Biafra, the Northerners will do the usual best they know how to do to your people: 1000s slaughtered. Yorubas will immediately put laws in place that will only make it comfortable for Igbos born in Yoruba land or married to Yoruba. The rest will have to pay through their noses for residency and to own a business. Or do you think most Igbos can come u with 200 million to open a business? Or for residency, if you are required to come up with 50 million, won't you leave? |
sunnyb0b0:Guy, I don't know why you have to worry on behalf of Yorubas (whom you hate with a passion despite living in Ibadan). When the time comes, I can assure you that you won't be missed. There are a surplus of people to take your place. And by the way, those previous businesses failed mostly due to sabotage (various kinds of theft) and crashing the market by selling substandard goods. It never occurred to these pioneers that their people would be so stvpid and would chose mediocre goods over genuine. We know better now. |
thewarrior72:Me crying? Abi crase dey worry this one. I am rejoicing that you want to leave and I wish you luck. What part of that don't you understand? ![]() |
sunnyb0b0:LMAO. There was never any vacuum. Anybody comparing Nigeria to Ghana and Zimbabwe has no sense of history. See, I shouldn't be helping you guys to see what you cannot foresee. Na una wahala. I hope you get Biafra. But I can give you a hint; before the spare parts business became Igbo dominated, there was Laniwu. Before the electronics business got Igbo dominated, there was Adebowale, etc. If you manage to convince yourselves that you are not expendable, then you are bigger fo0ls than I thought. |
Emilokoiyawon:The m0r0n thinks crude methods like attacking their businesses by thugs will be used. When Ghanaians wanted to start squeezing Nigerian businesses, what did they do? There are very subtle and effective ways of kicking unwanted elements out. |
