I will advice u, travel out of this zoo once in awhile to get acquitted to the age we are into M0r0n, even my grandfather was far better traveled than you. Where have you been to? China? Indonesia? No need to argue. As I said, I hope your wishes come true and you get Biafra, then your eyes will clear. |

It is then your eyes will clear. You think your businesses in other parts of Nigeria will be allowed to flourish? You are merely enjoying the grace of being called Nigerians for now; once you become Biafrans, the grace is gone and you need to leave. Oya, use your experience to tell us otherwise. Look, we Yorubas treasure history; we document things. Even my grandfather owned diaries. We don't muck around with history because it is a compass to the future. So, go and learn your history. You didn't just arrive where you are; there was a journey. |

IsraeliAIRFORCE: This is the same thing that happened after the war where the West did everything to scuttle and hinder the rehabilitation and reconstruction of devastated Eastern Nigeria. LMAO. I don't blame you. It's Yorubas with their forgiving nature. Left to the Northerners, your entire ethnic group would've been wiped out. The same Northerners who were your political partners who you colluded with multiple times to sideline Yorubas politically. You then overreached, turned round and put knives in their backs and they gave it back to you 7-fold. Now, after the war, were Eastern states not getting allocations like the rest of the states of the federation? What did your governors do with them? Or were your state governors Yoruba? When your people started trooping into Yorubaland in droves from the 70s to the 80s, did the Yorubas stop them? Did Yorubas collect the properties owned by Igbos in Yorubaland? As proven over and over, collectively you are a bunch of ingrates and crybabies. Make una continue. IsraeliAIRFORCE: The problem between the West and the East is not religious nor socio-cultural rather political and economic competition hence the quagmire.
There is an unhealthy competition which has no end in sight. We can only give and take if the gap must be bridged. Oh really? Could any of you muster the courage to respond to my post where I referred to what an Igbo VC in UI did back in the 60s; where he employed 109 Igbos and only 3 Yorubas in a university built with cocoa money? That should be healthy competition right? Honestly, I must be jobless. Na jobless person get time for una. |

We are respectful of ther tribes by calling it no man's man when in real terms, it is Igboland with yoruba managers. LMAO. Let's even assume that indeed (in a parallel universe), Lagos was built with South East wealth; how come you guys haven't been able to duplicate Lagos? Or you want to claim your states don't get allocations from Federal government? Why have your governors not been able to do what you did in Lagos? Politics › Re: "Settling Our Differences With Igbos": What Yorubas Think, - A Rejoinder by logica(m): 3:42pm On Jul 15, 2015 |
Remarkable: but before the civil war wasn't there hot competition between the two? political, economical and otherwise... if I am not mistaken, 3SC and Rangers were pretty much west pitted against east.... free education was Awo's way of catching up with the east in education... okpara was working to make igweocha the 'lagos' of the east ... (note that I said that I could be mistaken in those assertions before you start on me)... so I think it predates the civil war that a form of competetition begun between the east and the west, Nigeria can not contain the two, it seems... its almost like a fight needs to be fought... let the two tribes agree to fight and the loser will henceforth respect the other; no help from Britain, Russia or world powers... the north, perhaps, can join the yorubas.... and if some groups in the middle belt and south south want to join the igbos, they are free to... un will call/referee the fight and the fight will be televised. Again, the rules of war will be heeded by both sides, so no ojoro, one year to prepare and map out your strategies... and one year later, the winner will ... prostrated to by the loser.
Guys I'm just kidding. I hope those liking your post are doing so because they see the humor; and not that they believe any of the nonsense you put up there. But just to be clear that it is all a joke: 1. Yorubas were NEVER playing catch up in education with any group in Nigeria. We were too far ahead to even notice when an Igbo VC in Ibadan started playing "catch up" in a university built with cocoa money. 2. The clubs you mentioned did not exist till after the Nigerian Civil War. So, continue with your "humor". Of course certain m0r0ns already believe everything you wrote. |

lastpage: As for the Twenty Pounds policy, it is a general knowledge that any nation that loses a war, has to pay or offset "the cost" for that war, for years to come, .....to the victors. It also ensure that the loser does not (immediately) have access to funds, to start another war, for some time!
Germany had to pay for many years, to Europe and America, for losing the first and second world wars. Iraq is still paying to America, using its Oil, for the Gulf wars. The Twenty Pounds was the "after war offset-payment" in the Nigerian scenario. My guy, I don't think you handled this well. The policy was to HELP give Igbos who had lost everything a new start. Those who had PROPER DOCUMENTATION of money they had in any bank got their money. Now remember, this was 20 pounds in the 70s. Most Nigerians were not even making up to that in a year. Let's just be clear; those crying about the 20 pound policy are ingrates. Many of them came with forged documents to claim money they didn't have or simply tried to claim money they never had; got 20 pounds but still turned around to cry a river. Once again, those who had proper docs and proof got all their money back. |

T8ksy: Yorubas now could clearly discern why the ibos were all for One Nigeria where they hope to
dominate their so-called fellow countrymen. There has been a wrong use of terms which I believe started with the Sardauna (Ahmadu Bello). When you speak of "dominate", what comes to mind is like the Barcelona FC team of present. They dominate. And why do they dominate? Because they are head and shoulders above all other teams. On the other hand, what the Igbo as a group tended to do is called amassing. Like a crowd of piranha on a hapless goat. Everyone knew they (the Igbos) had most to gain from the Nigerian contraption. For instance, Yorubas and Hausa/Fulani had been interacting way back since the 15th Century. The Igbos had been isolated for so long till the Oyinbos came along to build bridges connecting them to the South West and North. So they suddenly developed a wanderlust and wanted to spread across the country. Meanwhile Yorubas and Hausas who had wanderlust were already old, tired or dead so not many were engaging in such travel. But it was the behavior of the surjourners in their various host lands that was ultimately their undoing. |

sammyj: The Civil war is the problem between the two ethnic group!!! Akintola once referred to the University of Ibadan in which the Igbo VC elected to employ 109 Igbos and just 3 Yorubas right there in the Yoruba heartland. He mentioned this in a video aptly titled "Idi wahala laarin Yoruba ati Igbo". Now you think of it; what manner of a person can be so brazenly nepotistic? You bring a stranger into your house in the name of "Pan Africanism", then rather than feed your children, he starts taking your food to the land he came from. That person takes you for a great f0ol and has no iota of regard for you; neither does he know what decorum is. That summarizes the problem. It goes beyond the civil war. It was there before the civil war, and it remained after. |
