ibabkr: Why displaying ur ignorance freely to Nairalanders? That's not a portion from the Qur'an, it's actually an Arabic way of saying' Victory is from God alone' Come to think of this: why is there a cross on red cross logo? Why is there a cross on Nigerian navy's logo? Are they meant for Christians? The Red Cross flag is the colour-switched version of the Flag of Switzerland. In 1906, to put an end to the argument of Turkey that the flag took its roots from Christianity, it was decided to promote officially the idea that the Red Cross flag had been formed by reversing the federal colours of Switzerland, although no clear evidence of this origin had ever been found. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Red_Cross_and_Red_Crescent_MovementThe cross does not derive from Christianity in the first place. |

2n2k: By your illogical reasoning, if only a few Supreme Court justices have been accused of corruption ...and by yours, the entire judiciary should be sacked and ALL judges reigned in by EFCC/DSS at one fell swoop right? We speak of a syndicate here with a wide network covering the entire country and you are speaking of a few judges. One step at a time, the judiciary will be cleaned up. |

edebemba: Can somebody please clarify me? I am not understanding what is happening again. At first, it was alleged that the monies recovered from the houses of the Judges were bribe money. But now, according to paragraph 10 of this post, 'There is a strong suspicion by the DSS that money recovered from the residences of these Judges were drawn from the suspicious account'. Which one do we believe? Why the media trial when we are not too sure? Maybe logic isn't your forte, but I don't see any contradiction. Bribe money can be paid into a bank account, can't it? |

Just to show the mentality of those in charge.... he is thinking g skyline as development.... high rise hotels and other buildings... looks good in his eyes... like developed countries. We need to be careful of these 'developments' by foreigners.... don't think they wouldn't come.... the same way they came to South Africa. Why are we inviting others to push us off of our lands? That you for your accurate observations. |

WeNigerDelta: The electronic part is way too complex for Naija to implement now. First FRSC address database has to be up to date. Then motion detection cameras that run 24hour. Before we talk about scanning the tags and then the 24hour power to run all of it. You can keep dreaming though. Goodnight man. Electronic toll already works on the V/I - Lekki Road. So how difficult can it be? |

And also some parts of ondo are riverine areas e.g Ilaje area and we all know ijaw ppl love riverine areas and are normally found in such areas.. So let me enlighten you, these ijaw ppl migrated there for their fishing occupation and are not Ondo state indigenes so it's just normal to reiterate that Ondo state is a Yoruba state.....next time be sure of something or better still stay enlightened just in case you wanna comment on issues such as this in future ✌ There are Ijaws from Ondo and have coexisted with Yorubas for ages without issues. |

Elites were carrying placards containing bring back our girls, but they didn't shout use of brand name. Now, raising funds for the girls, is now a crime.. ...stupid political players I was wondering when "BringBackOurGirls" became a registered brand name. Basic hash tag is now a matter of copyright? The question is; does Aisha have right to voice her opinion? Any culture that says "NO" to this question is far in the past. No, I do not speak for myself. I speak of the Yoruba code for husband/wife relations in marriage. |

musicwriter: May be I'm not getting your point.
Does the Yoruba culture trample on the rights of women? If entire Nigeria was a Yoruba nation; would it be anti-culture for Aisha to speak up?
Let me know. As most of Yoruba nation is part of Nigeria, we can tolerate other people's cultures. But even Yoruba culture will frown on Aisha's public utterances. |

musicwriter: And you don't want us to be like Europe? Across the ocean, Hilary Clinton is almost certain to become the next US president as well. And someone in this 21st century still believes the role of women belongs to the kitchen? Indeed, this achaic islamic mentality is why we'll not be like Europe soon. No I don't want "us" to be like Europe and I speak of the Yoruba nation only. I don't know about others, but Yoruba culture never suppressed women. Check cultures with heroines (female heroes) and you know what the culture thinks about females. Interestingly this culture of female suppression (and racism) sprang from Europe; now the suppressed women are leading a "revolution" which of course will baffle women from liberated cultures. |
