One of the things I love to do on Nairaland is reading through members' signature statements.

For the following reasons:

2) Some are very witty and thought provoking

3) Some simply advertise the members' business

One fact I know from experience is that if you are buying a car or pre-ordering a car from abroad you need to be VERY VERY VERY patient.

Recentlty, FBN froze my account because they couldn't confirm that I reside at the address I gave them.

Fine, I no longer reside in the said address. But why will a bank freeze a customer's account without informing him/her. Meanwhile they have my email id and phone numbers.

But as for DBN, I have had plenty unpleasant experiences with them (DBN); they don't/can't surprise me any more .

In my days as a youth corper, when students want to be difficult, I just retire to my lodge. And stay away from the concerned class until the serious minded student come and apologise.

I only try to correct students who are my friends.

My advise to all teachers/corpers, don't bother attempting to instill discipline in your students'.

Any attempt to instill discipline in students these days is a sheer waste of your precious time while exposing you to this kind risk (as narrated by OP).

The the level of rot and indiscipline among students (from primary to tertiary institutions)cannot be corrected at school.
