Dem don sell dem lands and properties finish, na only kidnapping business remain for dem. i just dey laugh like AWOLOWO kikikkikkikikikikihahahaha" Hello Mr I D I O T you are the most babaric living human I ever known as a matter of fact you are simply a disgusting maggot f u c k you to hell. I'm an Igbo guy proud to say it but reading this nonsesnse you wrote above you are simply a disgrace to humanity and as you have choosen to abuse entire race without abusing you, you are nothing but a bloody rag dying of silly ego. People like you dont worth living and dont worth to be a Nigeria you are a full time boloks, eye sore, pain in d a s s and loosed mad man. All you know in life is tribal sentiment and you will surely die by it because you are not the only Non Yoruba that read this thread but you choose to heat up the house again with your stupid tribal madness you are a big fool a full time goat(Ewu) Please tell him. |
Policewoman: The average Nigerian policeman is a medieval trigger happy drunk lunatic. But i guess they are necessary evils. If they don't torment us with their AK47s, the armed robbers will.@Policewoman: Why "US"? Did you resign? |
jeezybuck: If you take the guns from the vigilante, you have taken our security away from us. Those big boys will walk into our houses freely every night.@jeezybuck: I agree with you. This is big joke. Vigilante groups are not social clubs. And most time their mode of operation is not to go after petty thieves but after the "main guys". So telling them not to carry arms is like sentencing them to death; and when this happens ………………we (the populace and even the police ) lose, and the criminals win! A typical criminal is more afraid of a vigilante group than a regular police patrol team (however, robbers don’t F.#uk with SARS guys….{”na dem bi BABA” ! }. Vigilante groups are necessary evils………as a result of the "failure" of the Nigerian Police to tactile criminals (particularly armed robbers). The truth is that we have all gone sentimental with the ALUU IV(or V) incidence. I have been on both sides: 1.As a “near victim” of jungle justice and 2.As a volunteer member of neighborhood watch (Vigilante Group) I don't subscribe to jungle justice...I almost suffered d same in 2009. If not for God's intervention I would have been disabled or dead by now. At the same time I have observed many innocent souls under-go serious torture (just because they were at the wrong place, at the wrong time)in the hands of vigilante groups. What we need is more engagement sessions between the Vigilante groups and police. |
@shy-one: How about our not too good attributes..... "Abi we bi perfect people ni...." just thinking aloud.... |
The signature/question has always been:"HOW DOES (THAT OR THIS) AFFECT THE PRICE OF GARRI?" Finally, with the Floods; they've got an answer to their question. ![]() |
Some of my friends believe that some of the beggars have some "evil powers" which can affect the givers. Some years ago, there was a story that a crippled beggar, mysteriously appeared to a lady (at night) who gave him alms earlier on in the day demanding for #%*#@#@#*&. I don't know true it is. Last week (monday to be precise), I observed a lady giving food (bread) instead of money. Personally, I have a friend who is "challenged" & indigent who is not on the street begging sometimes I feel guilty because I have not been giving enough. God help me. |
My suggestions :- beans, yam, maize, (not sure of perishables like pepper and tomatoes) etc. It is important to consider logistics and mode of selling the products when you get to the south. Good luck ! |
"Have Wonderful Money Making Abilities" yet to discover this as part of me....still working at it "sha" We love peace and we make peace (sometimes even if the other party is at fault).... although, others see this particualar attribute as a sign of weakness. |
@OP: You need to grow-up and work on yourself more. I don't know you too well but from your personality on NL, I can infer that there issues you need to sort out with yourself. To be candid with you....it has not been about the girls you have met but about YOU ! |

For me its Godswill Akpabio. |
Indeed Rochas is working..... And Imo state has a commissioner for environment? Menh! Anyway youth corp members in the affected areas....this is an opportunity for CD project. |
Did say BANK ? I suggest you approach a co-operative society or a micro finance bank in your neighborhood. For co-op society you need a guarantor (who must be a member in good standing). I am not too familiar with micro finance banks; you can walk into any near you and ask for their terms. |
CLIQBOY: Abeg wetin be our own..did he Molestation her? methodman: Gbagaun....Gbagaun....Gbagaun.... Ibon Menh! |
@ pattybf: I feel you. The owner of the shop should have given you some breathing space. Anyway "sha", life goes on. I have found out myself that very few people are interested in helping others succede. Don't be discouraged. You will get there. Hope your son is ok now. My suggestion: 1)Don't sell off the items. 2)Try and secure a place in your neighbourhood; then re-locate the items and start all over. God bless you. Regards. |
apach4ever: Heard if you see a pot hole while driving at speed hold your steering tight and ride it, unfortunately when faced with the practical I failed woefully tried to swerve, lost control and skidded off the road slamming into some tractor equipment. Luckily I wasn't hurt but as for the car... Well let's say I'm getting a lot of excersise done walking nowadays. The point is there are somethings only experience can teach you and I pray when faced with this situation you make the right choice. Thanks for sharing your experience. I am happy you survived it. Some people encountered similar situations are not alive to tell the story. |
pdone: In your opinion, which of Nigeria banks has worst customer service. Currently I will give it to Diamond bank. First I am always pissed off each time I see their live chat button on their website. The true fact is that the live chat is nothing but a dead chat. If you need urgent help, my advice is never click on the live chat otherwise you will wait until Jesus come again. All banks(especially at individual branch levels) have their parculiar challanges. I bank with DBN. I agree with you 101%. I don't waste my time sending an email to customer care; because as you rightly wrote, one has to wait for a long time to get response(....and getting a response those not mean that the issue has been taken care of). As for live chat, DBN needs to do more.I got a good response recently but I was disappointed the first time I tried it. To get any issue resolved as soon as possible, I find time to walk into my branch. |
It Is Well ! |
@OP: Good idea. And like other NL'ders I like to come with you. Its cool to go as a team. |
@siena:I have less than 1m. Please is it possible to get a decent and issues free Volks or Audi? |
Long One: All this do's and don'ts you guys are saying here, I'm sure the OP will first of all shout to his village Gods, then do all what you say he shouldn't.@ Long One....... I like your sense of humor (Sure there will be a loud shout of "JESUS!!!" . I am very much here. I just want to be on the side lines. The topic is aimed at educating "not too" experienced drivers and to remind "the road masters" of what they already know. I really wish it makes front page. For the benefit of some NL'ders who may be driving to their towns and villages for the first time in their own cars this festive period......and you know how "smooth and lovely" our roads are. Above all the topic is to the remembrance of a friend who lost his life while trying to avoid a pothole Abuja/Okenne "Express" at about this time last year. And many of the carnages on our roads are also as a result taking the wrong steps (eg: swerving dangerously or applying the brake suddenly). I (and I am sure many NL’ders) have learnt from all the tips/suggestions and experiences shared |
Please guys what is the best approach/decision to make when a driver suddenly sights a pothole "Death Trap" while travelling at a high speed. Suggestions please..... |

pattybf: hi all, thanks for ur contributions/advice. i wanted to update this thread on my progres in the biz but i found out i have no time at all since i started to go online, coupled with the challenges and the fat that i have to cater for my son.@pattybf:- I am so happy for you. Please update us. Can't wait to here from you. Good luck! Congrats once again. |
OILOFGLADNESS: for your information, please change your mentality about ,house chores obligation for a woman you have paid her bride pricen to completem you cos you were incomplete.@ OILOFGLADNESS and others:- OP has not given the impression that his wife should sacrifice her career because of marital responsibilities. All his asking for are suggestions. Thank God for this thread; my wife and I have been brain storming for what business/job for her after she lost her previous job for no faults of hers. |

Let me first apprecaite what Oga Businesstools is doing.Reading through oga Businesstools response to your post, Let me share my ideas on how to take this business "a step further" 1.Quality:- Put effort at making you stuff particularly the Akra special (it’s not all about beans and pepper add enough onions and other good spice). Sincerely I am still working on this. But people tend to prefer akra made by middle-belters and igbo to that of the western(I stand to be corrected). Also don't make the paste too watery. 2.Timing:- Personally I have observed that people patronise our "fryies" in the morning hours (6:30 AM TO 8:30 AM) and in the evening hours (6:30 PM TO 9:00 PM) 3.Size:- For a start make your "cuts" a bit big than the your competitors 4. Hygiene :- You know this already I won’t dwell on this. It’s a No No to house flies perching around you business area 5.Adopt Oga Businesstools tips on customer relations. NB: Please I am still learning. If you also have any idea to share with me. Please send me a mail. Makyy4u@yahoo.com. Thanks. |
jelikay: Dont destroy ur marriage cooking is not husband duty in this part of the world@OP, No mother-in-law wants to see her son doing house chores in the name of supporting a wife. I can help in doing almost anything in the house but whenever my mother or any of my relatives are arround that changes. My wife don't like it (when I stop doing stuffs when my mum or relatives are with us) but I do so to protect the good relationship betwen her and my mum (and my relaives) B4 they start saying "OFI ORI OKO GBA PARO"; meaning you don JAZZ ur husband. Keep loving your husband. That's the best you can do under this circumstance. |
@OP if you need the phone+data bad enough you may have to involve the police and contact your service provider. You will get your BB back but I bet its going to cost alot more time, stress and much more than the 25k u are offering. Good luck ! |
