(then the nagging starts...

Wife: Why won't you be in traffic when you will not leave the office when others are leaving.

We've seen a lot of suspect shown to the public at the end proven innocent.

I get pissed-off when crime reporters mention the station, names and ranks and of police officers who carry-out arrest of criminals; only for criminals and their sponsors to carry-out revenge attack on such policemen in future. If the story of an arrest can reported with the suspects names withheld, concealing the names of the security agents who carry-out the arrest won't taking anything from same report.

I had a similar issues; what I did was to avoid contact with my "EX".
What motivated me was the fact that I know the consequences involved and I was not ready put my marriage through such a storm.
My sister, start by deciding not to mess up both marriages and by extension your life.

Then have a frank discussion with your ex. (he doesn't have to agree with you) on the need to call-off your relationship with him.

Finally reduce the frequency of your calls and other forms of contact with your ex.

If you don’t take active steps to save your marriage now; I'm sure you don’t need an oracle to tell you the repercussions.

And the other problems can take care of themselves.

What is this thing about "costly to sort it out"? If he is 30+ he should ask for exemption letter.
"if he wants to sort it out", he can report to the state of deployment, take the 3 weeks orientation, report to his place of primary assignment and then "sort it out" from there. It won't cost him a fortune (sometimes not even a kobo) and he does not have to stay for any specific period of time.

My brother, I feel you. Some other guys won't give a damn by telling him straight to stop using the car forthwith.I think this is where your wife should come. She should be reasonble enough to stop her brother from causing more damage to your "only" car. However if I were you, I will keep the keys away from him and will not bother fixing the damages done so far; until he leaves. All the best.
