human_hair:Well, it is recognised in the UK. But I am NOT SURE if it is in Nigeria. It is only a wise course of wisdom to BE SURE of whatever you want to do. |
davidfajum:Well researched and on point. I took the Option2 and the studies lasted for about 15months. However, I am wary about online courses. You have to be sure it is acceptable/recognised in your intended country of residence before investing the time and money into it |
thehunted:That is ABSOLUTELY FALSE. There are protective gears for bomd disposal experts. Look at some pics in the earlier pages of this tread. I am also aware that NPF has bomb disposal units which I want to believe are adequately equiped and educated on handling a case like this. Some people suggested his swagger suggested he was part of the team, but I strongly disagree. I rather saw it as sheer recklessness on his part. |
gidiMonsta:No one ordinarily would have been killed, because people were already aware and some safe distance kept from the material bomb. From my own layman point of view, he/his bosses should have called and waited for bomb disposal unit of the NPF to finish up the task. The best they could do was to have fenced off the area which had been done. So why further Macho show!!!! He wanted apperently to steal show but somehow was too expensive a price to pay |
jamace:I do not believe that is gallantry There is a yoruba sayings in 2 sentences: 1. "Moja mosa, l'an mo Akinkanju l'ogun" meaning a warrior is identified by his attack & retreat skills 2. "Akinkanju to m'oja ti o m'osa, ma nba ogun lo ni" meaning a warrior who knows how to attack but not how to retreat will loose his life That I see as stupidity on his part. It's pathetic and felt for his family |
Aigbofa:You are on point. Unfortunately, he paid the ultimate price which can not be redeemed There is a yoruba sayings in 2 sentences: 1. "Moja mosa, l'an mo Akinkanju l'ogun" meaning a warrior is identified by his attack & retreat skills 2. "Akinkanju to m'oja ti o m'osa, ma nba ogun lo ni" meaning a warrior who knows how to attack but not how to retreat will loose his life How pathetic |
~Killz~: Now I can understand. You could have put it in qoutes to denote that's from your grammar factory. Thank you anyhow for the clarity |
~Killz~:I do not think there is anythiong like ~Killz~:. Wisdom and Foolishness are two parallel lines that will never meet. Even though either may exhibit varying degree of their respective measure, there is always a constant variable. They never meet |
I was in primary 2 then. Incidentally, my primary school was just adjacent to the famous Lion Building in the Island. (W.J. David Memorial Baptist School) I could recall the School Headmaster called everyone to an assembly point and directed all to go home. There were heavily armed policemen and soldiers everywhere. I was not scared largely because I believed there was no way these guys with guns would see an innocent young boy as a threat. There was chaos everywhere But my parents were surprised I had gotten home on my own and even earlier than my Dad who had left to pick me. Before then my dad would always drop me at school and mum picked me up after school hours. That was my own first independence, because, thereafter I was allowed to go places on my own. I enjoyed every Feb13 public holiday in honor of Mutala. I had a vest with his photo print on it. Really good old days |
Your marriage is worth every effort to SAVE. Your attraction to this other woman is purely on lust. Why not consider going on vacation with your wife, away from daily routines and worries. Unwind and have 1 to 1 open discussion. Whatever the problems, they can be sorted out. So you need at least be positive. By virtue of their makeup, women like to be cherished, appreciated and in constant need of confirmation of your love and commitment. Your attitude, responses and well spoken words will do more than even material gifts. Do not break another man's home. in fact what gives you the confidence that the man will not turn on you and get you injured or killed by assasins in the process. Be careful. No man will look favorably on his rival. |
@poster, Do a count on those for and those against, and you can be sure most were talking from experience. Though someone said earlier that tomorrow can change. That is not impossible, but that looks very much of a mirage The choice is yours, Few words enough for the wise |
rx steve:Yes, he has said it all. I agree without any reservation Even if your Degree course takes 5 years, see that as a SACRIFICE to make and spare yourself of a potential 'had I Know' in the future. I suffered discrimination at my former work some years back on this HND/BSC contention. Thanks to God, I now have my Degree even from a prestigious Uni in the UK. But if I were in your shoes, you need not be a genius to know what my decision would be. Age is also very much on your side. But remember, whatever is worth doing, is worth doing well. You will be very proud of yourself as a Uni Graduate than any other. But please, I did not & do not mean to disrespect HND holders. Many of them are well rounded professionals, well respected and doing well. But we are only talking about acceptance in the corporate world which leaves little or none to be desired. Some companies would not even consider anything less than first degree |
bayooooooo:I was imppressed with the protest and your post as well. You spoke well |
pato405 pato405:You are on spot. Good point |
@burgerking This is a trade that is very, very fragile, very delicate I do not mean to scare you, but you have to tread carefully. I once went into the trade but my experience was not funny. Here are the potential dangers 1. Market demand changes very frequently. The theory of demand of supply is very stong here if you know what I mean. 2. Whoever is buying from you wants to buy at the least possible price. He doesn't care if you are making any profit or otherwise. Some are very greedy. 3. Selling on credit is at times inevitable and should that happen, the concern is -- would you be able to get the whole sum back at agreed date? 4. If you have a space allocated to you in the market to sell your wares, you are paying rent on the space which gets burdensome if you can not sell early enough 5. If somebody must sell for you, then make sure he is not one of the market agents/touts or whatever they are called. The problem with these guys is they add up their own interest on your asking price. They look for a profit margin that you who have laboured to get the goods down do not have. They may be calling you on phone that somebody is about to pay a price lower than your price, meanwhile the customer is paying much higher. They are very terrible guys. Do your homework and outsidework very well and I wish you all the best |
tit_squeez You have cleared the dust. Perhaps your choice of words must have been responsible for the distraction from the main thread. Cheers |
Of course, if he carries Nigerian passport, no need for visa to naija now ![]() |
I think tit_Squeeze is in a better position to clarify this. I am not doubting the story, I know the Nigerian High Commision has improved in recent times, but I am completely lost trying to figure out how he could be without out a Nigerian passport. I know there could be a particular instance where that may be possible but would rather not put words to his mouth. tit_Squeeze, pls clarify |
Read the post from deenee above and learn from his maturity. Look at the way and spirit exhibited presenting his own argument. Aba, let's learn to speak and write decently. |
@ Lond07 thank you, i want you to know that those guys are only their for their personal pocket(illegally) so if you if you take them up they will beg you cos me sef had a personal encounter with them in the past @ the same point and those mili bois treat those police bleep up and beat the hell out of them. Elements of mumu+social irresponsibily(not literary) of the highest order. Why dont you jump into the into the lagoon on 3rd mainland cos the is no danger sign there? Because laws are not perfect or not properly implemented in Nigeria doesnt mean we should abuse the imperfections I wonder who is "Elements of mumu+social irresponsibily(not literary) of the highest order. " in this scenario. You lack proper decorum and civility expected in a public forum. Why do you have to talk dirty and descend into irresponsible attack on personality. I expected you to make your point and if your argument is convincing I will applaud you and drop mine. But I must say you lack the depth of sound evaluation of matters. If you expect me to trade words with you then you must be a joker becos I will not condescend to the level of stupidity of your type |
oops A rail track that is practically not in use for like a decade. Even you yourself will fall into the same trap. Granted, it is gradually coming back, but how many pple know it is partially coming back again . This is where you get to see responsible governance. |
To pinkrex, The point Haboosa is making is simple - The operation of the NP in that place is questionable. The guy has committed no wrong if there were no signs and he is even in a position to sue NP and NRC in the eventy of any accident. I am bold to say the guy will laugh last if it were in developed world |
oohunt, Where there is no law, there is no crime. Did you observe if there was any road sign making it UNLAWFUL if you stayed on the track like the yellow line marking as OFF SIDE? If there were none, then tell me what law have you contravened!!! If it were simply the 'conscious' awareness for the safety and the authorities concenrned have not provided a barier or at worst a road sign, then who should have been liable? Even in the US/UK, there is no rail crossing without a barier/road sign. so do not compare these places to Nigeria. I live in the UK and know pretty well what applies here. You have simply fell into the booty trap of the NP who take delight in extorting you. I was once stopped by the police while making a u-turn under National Stadium bridge (coming from oju elegba). The policeman argued that I was not supposed to turn mean while there was no road sign. After a long argument/counter argumnet, his boss intervened and allowed me to go . Of course never paid a kobo. I was dead determined to report them and escalate the issue to every quarters and to the press. Next time nknow your right abnd make good defence |
This thread is very funny. I got all the jokes But some pple dey too serious and missing the fun I beg, lol, take life easy oooh |
kristana Re: Who Are These Jehovah's Witnesses? Misconceptions, Likes & Dislikes About Them! « #70 on: Today at 09:12:48 PM » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i am one of jehovah's witnesses and am sooooooooooooooo proud to be one You are Welcome my Sister |
Divne2043 You are comparing 2 versions of Bible that rely on the same source for the publication and of course, they will remain the same. You must respect JW for the efforts in Bible study & research |
Divne2043 You have not made any research I asked you to do. Check out this “For there are three witness bearers, the spirit and the water and the blood, and the three are in agreement.”—1Jo 5:7, 8. This rendering is in agreement with the Greek texts by C. Tischendorf (eighth ed., 1872); Westcott and Hort (1881); Augustinus Merk (ninth ed., 1964); José María Bover (fifth ed., 1968); United Bible Societies (third ed., 1975); Nestle-Aland (26th ed., 1979). After “witness bearers” the cursive mss No. 61 (16th century) and No. 629 (in Latin and Greek, 14th to 15th century) and Vgc add the words: “in heaven, the Father, the Word and the holy spirit; and these three are one. ( And there are three witness bearers on earth.” But these words are omitted by אABVgSyh,p.Search out these references before you talk further PLEEEEEEEEASE!!! |

Misconceptions, Likes & Dislikes About Them! « #64 on: Today at 08:41:10 PM » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @lastpage I love your understanding of the Bible and doctrines. I want to ask. Do Jehovah Witness member believe in tithing, first-fruit, etc. Thank you Tithing and 1st fruits contributions were part of the regulations in law of Moses. They have been abolished alongside animal sacrifices (Galatians 3:23-25) So no longer a requirement for Xtians, but what God requires is a willing / voluntary contributions (1Cor 16:2) which may /maynot be more than 10% |

The real version that is. i dey laugh OOOOOHHHHHH.funnY INDEED. No JW will runaway on any question though. Please, do research on 1John 5:7 in/ouside the Bible & come up with your findings before you begin to talk. SO talk with references/quotations to substantiate your points. |
@ lastpage: Notice they dont "repeat the "Amen" at every line of prayer (why? does anyone know why?) but only at the end! Mainstream Christian churches repeat the "Amen" for each line of prayer. Again, why? What does the Bible say about this or what inference can we draw from Biblical accounts? Yes, I think they are right in this. When I went through the bible, especially in the new testament, the 'Amen' was used in the end of the book after a prayer. Consider Ephesians 3:14 - 20, Hebrews 13:20, and reply with how many AMEN is said there pls |
HI LOL, THE CHOICE IS ACTUALLY YOURS TO MAKE - DEAL OR NO DEAL HOWEVER, YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT THE CURRENT IMMIGRATION LAW IN THE UK REQUIRES YOU TO RETURN HOME AFTER YOUR STUDIES. SO DELETE WORKING IN THE UK AFTER YOUR STUDIES FROM THE LIST OF OPTIONS OPENED TO YOU. AND IF YOU MUST RETURN TO NIGERIA, WILL YOUR PROPOSED STUDIES EQUIP YOU TO BE SELF EMPLOYED IF THE EXPECTED JOB SEEMS NOT COMING ? UNIVERSITY RATING IS NO ISSUE. YOU DON'T GET JOB SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU GRADUATED FROM CAMBRIDGE. WHAT GIVES YOU JOB AT THE END OF THE DAY IS 1. GOD'S FAVOUR 2. YOUR PERFORMANCE. SO SHOULD YOU DECIDE TO COME, THEN MAKE SURE YOU ARE WELL BAKED IN WHAT YOU STUDIED. WHY NOT ALSO CONSIDER USA/CANADA AS SOME HAVE SUGESTED? THESE ARE STILL OPEN TO YOU AND MORE LIKELY THESE COUNTRIES WILL ALLOW YOU TO INTEGRATE INTO THEIR WORKFORCE AFTER YOUR STUDIES (NOT TOO SURE, PLS CONFIRM) COUNT THE COST BEFORE YOU JUMP AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CONTIGENCIES IN PLACE. REMEMBER THE OLD SAYINGS - "THE HEAVENS HELP THOSE HOW HELPED THEMSELVES". PLS BE REALSTIC TO YOUR SELF FEW WORDS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE !!!!! i WISH YOU ALL THE BEST |
hi notcorrupt, The response to ur tread, was very impressive I wish we could discuss offline |
