Madam, be Sincere with yourself. When last did you seat down to Read your Bible?
Sir, I advise you read about patient 31 in Korea, aka the super spreader, a woman positive for coronavirus who after attending two large church gatherings within a week was responsible for infecting hundreds of people who were linked to that church and some of those infected people eventually died.

The God I serve is not limited to the four walls of a church and he hears us all when we pray wherever you are.

Until the Government and medical professionals deem it safe for the populace to return to Church, you should stay at home, keep praying and growing spiritually, and obey the laws of the land, even as Scripture commands us to be subject to governing authorities.

This is why the Churches should be open...

There is Little or Nothing the Government can do now...
Why don't we all pray from our houses instead. God's ears are certainly not deaf to the prayers we pray in our houses, neither is his hand too short to save us.
But to intentionally put yourself and so many others at risk by going to church now or attending a large gathering and potentially infecting others is ungodly and dare i say, even sinful.

Religion / Re: Expectation Vs Anxiety. by Lorazepam(f): 8:05pm On Apr 24, 2020
uchkochi:
EXPECTATION VERSUS ANXIETY.

Everything in the kingdom of God answers to keys. The right key must be used to get the right result. Proverbs 23:18 says that surely there is an end and your expectations shall not be cut off. This means that God grants the expectations of His Children. That is why what you don't expect cannot be experienced. But there is a thin line between expectation and anxiety. The bible says be anxious for nothing. Philippians 4:6. But how can someone expect without being anxious?

As I was meditating on why God's people experience continuous delay. God brought this word to me. He said; MANY OF THE EXPECTATIONS OF HIS CHILDREN HAVE TURNED INTO ANXIETIES THAT IS WHY THERE IS A DELAY. This word inspired me to write this message. He further said that expectation merges hope and faith together, while anxiety merges doubt and fear together. So there is a problem. I then asked Him how one can expect without being anxious because it was His word that said that expectation delayed makes the heart sick. Proverbs 13:12. He now laughed and asked me. If the president of your nation promised me a car in two weeks time do I become anxious over it or patiently wait for it. I said I will patiently wait for it because the status of a president is far more than cars. Then I got it, I believed in the capacity of the president so anxiety or worry is not in my heart and even if the two weeks passes all I have to do is to remind him and it will be done instantly.

For expectation not to turn to anxiety you must believe in the almighty capacity of God. If you cannot doubt the president of your nation why doubt God the president of the universe. Trust God so much and wait. When there is no more anxiety, your expectation will manifest. The key is this; Expect it but don't be anxious over it, don't lose your peace or sleep over it. Be blessed in Jesus name.

But what if they extend the lockdown, and after two weeks again, we are recording higher numbers, is that how they will keep extending every two weeks? This lockdown is not feasible in the long run.

Unfortunately it's just a matter of time, respiratory viruses will eventually spread.

The states not yet affected should be very vigilant and not caught napping so they can quickly nip any outbreak in the bud.

117 cases. We have started recording cases in the 100s.

Outbreak in Borno is very bad news oo, people still struggling seriously with Boko insurgency, and many people in less than ideal living conditions in IDP camps.

Meanwhile, with the way Lagos cases are surging, I doubt lockdown will be lifted, meaning we will have to continue doing night vigil to defend ourselves against hoodlums and scallywags cry cry

Graysons:

Ghana is just 30million people

Nigeria is 200 million people

Do the math Mr man.

Are you sure you understand what you're saying sir? cheesy cheesy

Ghana with population of 30m has done 68,591 tests, that's 2207 people tested per 1m population

Nigeria with population of 200m has done 7,153 tests, thats 35 people tested per 1m population. That is too low and can never show you the true picture of spread in the country.

Nigeria with its massive population, is supposed to have conducted far more tests than small Ghana.

Ghana is obviously Nigeria's senior and far far ahead of Nigeria when it comes to tackling this virus.

At this rate ehn, we really need God's mercy to help us, because if its only by our efforts, we won't be able to control this thing at all, it's already spread too much.

Lockdowns will most likely be extended but for how long will people continue to agree be on lockdown sef in a country like ours with no real end in sight.

This is indeed a dilemma.

Health / Re: Lockdown; Blood In Stool by Lorazepam(f): 12:33am On Apr 18, 2020
jacy346:
what if the blood is bright red mixed with stool?
I will advise you visit your doctor for any blood in stool.

If the stool is dark tarry black, one would think of blood coming from the upper GI such as a slow bleeding stomach/duodenal ulcer

If its more of maroon color, a colonic bleed is likely

Bright red, a rectal or anal bleed is likely

Mind you, appropriate tests will have to be done to fully confirm the cause of the bleeding and where exactly its coming from that's why i will emphasise that you see a doctor, because a lot times, blood in stool is usually from hemorrhoids or other benign causes and usually not life threatening, and can be effectively managed.

However on a few occasions, it can be sign of a more serious condition such as a gastrointestinal cancer.

Thanks.

Investnow2017:
The testing has evidently been expanded. Interestingly most of the cases in Nigeria are mild to moderate.

Where we should be concerned is when the figures rise to a point where our medical infrastructure is overwhelmed and cases now graduate from mild to serious and critical.

We are not there now and may we never be there.

Putin of Russia that toyed with this insidious virus because of his political ambition, is in dire confusion right now, having relocated from Mosco, the epicentre, to a remote location. From there he is now dishing out instructions to his subordinates.

A few weeks ago he was so generous donating test kits to the US and some part of Europe. He taught Covid-19 was a phenomenon he had experienced before. I think he was doing all that to spite the US thus presenting himself as a better organized president who is more proactive. Today the story is quite different. Russia needs more test kits now cheesy

The story of Brazil is even funnier cheesy

I have said all this for those shouting audio, audio, scam, scam blablablah. The world is dealing with a phenomenon yet to be understood. Most near vaccine feats are still at best speculative.

But we will overcome. But for now everyone must accept the obvious reality stirring us in the face.

Will the lockdown be extended? Will the lockdown be as effective here as it has apparently been in developed climes? Can Nigeria actually be able to practice social distancing with our kind of living circumstance? Can Nigeria survive say a 3-month lockdown?
Time will tell, but there is hope.

We may not need to borrow every step adopted by other nations. We want to adopt measures taking into sharp cognizance our peculiar context and socio-cultural reality.

I choose to stop here for now.

We are Africans, with our will we will overcome this disease beyond the expectation and to the chargrin of keen distant onlookers.

Cheers everyone.
Most sensible post I have read in a while.

Imagine locking so many people down for over three weeks now just to do 7k tests. 7k!! In a population of 200m.

Worst part sef is that the report says "7k samples tested" not even 7k people tested, which means some people have been tested more than once, because before you even discharge someone, they have to test negative twice, therefore we can infer that less than 5k people have been tested.

We are not ready in this country cheesy cheesy
