The soul is energy i agree. But can never be created nor destroyed, then we have a dicey situation to expound. How then do you explain the about 10 billion souls that have existed distinctly over recorded time? Just popped out(which would not make sense since you said no creation), or recycled like energy should(which also would not make sense, since all souls that have existed usually do not have what a distinct identity. Like something that is fresh - not recycled)? And even if they turn out to be distinctly different after recycling(which can be observed in plastics), what is the process that mediates the recycling or change of personality?

ifeness: Extra terrestrials you meant? They are not gods but advanced beings written about in the bible. Apparently the planet has been destroyed a lot of times. Perhaps as a result of advanced technology and genetical manipulations. Some of the them are manovolent and banovolent in nature.

I chose to call that help God, NASA, maybe Good Old Chance, or some Being from outer space. Whichever way, that help shows that there is something bigger, better maybe. I wasn't the one who asserted this, Scott did. And i agree with him because it is believably so.

Yes, i think so. Why did you create this thread. Simple to tell others how your belief is better than theirs. And then those in the thread throwing back punches still want you to think that their beliefs are better than yours. It's all the inborn superiority complex, ''I am better than you are'' mentality. Give it up bro, if i were to argue with the facts like i would do a few years ago if i saw a thread like this, this thread would be the most frequently updated and where would that leads us? More hate, more fighting. I personally think that hating is our blindspot to certain truths that we neglect.

And per my false neutrality. It is a choice belief man. I choose to believe in God, i just don't believe i should be religious about him. Funny enough, my atheists friends can't really find a difference between the two. And i'm not in a bid to change that idealogy. Stay safe pal.

Someone could be born to believe there is no God. It is mathematical possibility.

Then, for me i believe there is God, which makes me a THEIST. But then i believe Religion is crazy, and that makes me UNRELIGIOUS. That makes me an UNRELIGIOUS THEIST. Think it is not possible, i would give you a headstart, go into the history books. There is a God, and a very complex supernatural. But through my study of this God, he did not start religion, man did, and the result is the same as all of man's creation. This God was wise enough to put universal rules that everyone should follow, Man craving for importance among his other men sought for orders to self-interpret these rules and enjoy followership which is only a few letters short of self-worship.

Atheists have a very big disadvantage and many advantages. The big disadvantage is that they chose not to believe in God simply because they do not see why God should be celebrated by a very large proportion of people that through history have been derailed i should say. The advantages are that at the expense of not recognizing an all-knowing factor, they have been able to provide some sanity to the derailed population.

For the religious, it is business as usual, using the fact that we are all born with the free will to question our existence and striving for a connection to something higher to achieve selfish desires.

I see one similarity though. Both Atheists and the Religious theists are on each others necks, trying to show the inborn superiority complex which is the mother of all mortal crimes committed. I gave up that thinking a long time off. Now i understand things a lot better, i don't breathe on anyone's neck. I accept our differences as normal and live with my fellow man according to general rules that were left by GOD and that usually transcends religious boundaries. Unlike many, i think with a little inkling by yourself to find answers and by the divine direction of God, you would find answers, whether you are Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Traditionalist, Buddhism, just as long as you believe that there is a Supreme God and a lot of basic questions that you would not be able to answer convincibly. Leave the fighting, get on with life which should be all about living for others.

Throughout my long search for this truth that i now hold, i traversed religious scribblings, atheist ideas, and one thing i found out that was uniform was that they all think that We should love one another as ourselves. Like my atheist friend said somewhere in the first page of the thread, do unto others what you think should be done to you.

The Abrahamic religions say God is Love. The eastern religions believe Love is the most powerful force in the universe. I believe in both, and my message to you this sunday morning is the message of Love. If you have it, it would remove all strife, and make your life more peaceful and meaningful. We all have our beliefs and we should hold on to them as convinced as we are, but Love is what i share with you.

However the figures are not fictitious,if you take into account how GDP (depending on formula in use)is calculated, Nigeria is actually roaring ahead and is primed to be the major economy in Africa in under a decade. However this does not necessarily translate to a better life for the common man.

Say if Country X implements more efficient tax collection avenues on businesses and individuals,has big telecommunications companies setting up with the heavy license fees,has reprieve for international debts,and is one of the world's top oil producers,on paper it starts to look rather buoyant.

However if Country X then fails to invest in infrastructure,security,and policies that aid social mobility,it may have all the revenues reserves in the world but it's people will still suffer!
