duwdu: Dear Nairalanders...where can I find it? |
Going by the name of the Truck driver and his passengers, I'm not suprised by what happened. |
omenka: The MoU was signed in 2011 and not 2009, so I don't know where u got that from. Secondly, the Union had embarked on strike over this same issue in feb 2012. What has the government been doing since then? Sittin on their oars and waiting for the problem to resolve itself as they usually do I guess.they had an initial agreement with FG and that's in 2009. However, I still think that FG should be given time to review whatever agreement they reached, cuz some of the things they are asking for are awkwardly ridiculous. I don't know why their retirement age should be extended to 70 years while we have a handfull of those they taught in school looking for a post to occupy. And again, embarking on an indefinite strike would not give them the desired result, neither would it do any good to our students, cuz it's nothing to do with most of the govt officials who have their children in various high institutions abroad. They could have sort out their grievance with the FG in many other ways rather than embarking on a strike. FG as well should listent to them as soon as possible to save our youths from a beleaguered future. |
Pep Guardiola's first game in charge of Bayern Munich ended in a 15-1 victory against a local supporters' club. - Blog: World watches Pep Bayern took on a Wildenau Weiden Fans' XI in a friendly match on Saturday in front of 11,000 spectators as Guardiola embarked on his preparation ahead of the 2013-14 season. The Spanish coach named captain Philipp Lahm, Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer in his starting XI while Toni Kroos and Franck Ribery both came on at the break. Muller was on target in the first half with Kroos finding the back of the net in the second, but it was youngster Patrick Weihrauch, a player tipped to emerge under Guardiola, who stole the show with four goals. Jan Kirchhoff, meanwhile, made his debut in the back four following his move from Mainz. |
Mario Gotze has hailed Bayern Munich as the best team in the world after completing his37 million move from Borussia Dortmund. Gotze, 20, has already won two Bundesliga titles, the DFB-Pokal and reached the Champions League final during his time at Dortmund but he is confident of stepping up a level after arriving in Bavaria with Treble winners Bayern. "It's the complete package, team, coach, philosophy and perspective," he told the club's official website." I play for the best club in the world now what a challenge!" Gotze's arrival follows hot on the heels of new manager Pep Guardiola, who has already begun to make a positive impression around the club. "He seems very easy-going and is very friendly to the players," Gotze added. "He will push us very far." A hamstring injury ruled Gotze out of the Champions League final and he hasn't been able to return to training yet. As such he has not even been able to consider what role he will play as Bayern prepare to defend their three titles. "I have to get in shape first and start training," he said. "Everything else is a decision of the coach, which he will take later on. "I've only been here for a couple of days now and could not take part in team training yet. But I am looking forward to the day I can really start." That day could still be two weeks away, with the young Germany international planning his rehabilitation on a day-to-day basis. "The muscle feels a lot better now" he said. "We decide on a daily basis what I am able to do, at the moment I am working on the bicycle ergometer". He added: "[I hope] to start running in the next two weeks and to return to team training another two weeks later." Leaving for Bayern was a controversial move which shocked the Dortmund players, fans and management but Gotze insists it was the right move for his career. He said: "I grew up there and played all the youth teams at Borussia. I had to leave a lot of friends and family behind." But he is looking forward to the new experiences ahead. "I made this move out of conviction" Gotze makes clear "I want to make the next step in my career at FC Bayern." |

omenka: And you think that vindicates or justifies the government's sloppyness?and you should not also forget that they signed that MoU in 2009, to the best of my knowledge that was in Yar'Adua's tenure, you don't just expect FG to implement whatever agreement they reached. As it's supposed to be, ASSU have to give this present administration time to review that MoU. |

They are now against themselves. I only wish it doesn't escalate to a civil war. |
Only the handouts they sell in some universities are enough to cover up the amount of money they are demanding from FG. |
This action has been long over due. Anyway, kudos to GEJ's administration. |

The people/group that spearheaded this idea of suing Edo state govt are just wasting a hell of a time. They could have made a meaningful thing with the money they are paying their solicitors. |
