This is a very urgent and important public announcement.

This is the best time to heed this warning and relocate from these flood-prone areas.

Until we develop a permanent and effective solution to the local and global flooding problems, we can do well by relocating during warnings and/or avoid building permanent residential or business buildings in those areas.

This is equally a good time to check out real estate in those areas just in case you are offered one to buy. You know their real state to calculate your risks.

Flooding is not limited to Lagos so when you invest in Lagos, seek out those areas that are not flood prone.

I am very disappointed that this ugly trend of using minors as street hawkers is still prevalent among Ebonyi state indigenes despite all the hardwork and huge investments right from the PDP Governor, Dr Sam Egwu, HE Elechi to the Dave Umahi-led administration to reverse this ugly trend.

How on earth can Ebonyi state which is one of the least populous states in Nigeria account for 60% of hawkers in the most populous black nation on earth That's extreme poverty or worst form of human trafficking.

It is looking like there's a clandestine human trafficking industry that recruits these young boys and girls for this trade and Ebonyi state Government should go after the kingpins while empowering the arrested street hawkers.

In fact, Ebonyi can request other states to help arrest these Ebonyi minors and return them to Ebonyi for welfare rehabilitation and empowerment.

No doubt, it is good news that Ebonyi state is doing something to curb it by giving money as much as N2 million to the Ebonyi state boys and girls willing to quit the dangerous street hawking trade in Lagos and all over Nigeria but they need to get to the root of the problem.

Akwa Ibom did it by reducing the export of their people to cities as house helps so Ebonyi can reverse this ugly tag of the state as the street hawker recruitment capital of Nigeria and Africa. Check my signature for free stuffs!

No sensible SEners hates/dislike Ndi Ebonyi. For there to be hate for a people, there most be a reason mostly about character. Ndi Ebonyi haven't been proven to have any bad character specific to them as to warrant any of their Igbo brothers to hate/dislike them. What you see most times is just some insensible brothers from other SE states mocking Ebonyians because of the perceived laid-back lifestyle and general poor development index of the state. It is not hate in any way. It's just unfortunate that those doing the mocking can't seem to grasp the damage they're causing.

Ndigbo are a very progressive people who love competition too much. This extreme competition sometimes leads to unsavoury things like the mockery I mentioned earlier. It could be misinterpreted and therefore cause some fraternity problems that we're currently seeing but bye and large, it forces the group being mocked to step up their game. As we can all see, it has forced an Engineer to step up and build infrastructures in Ebonyi hence showing what potential ndi Ebonyi are made of just like all other Igbo groups are capable of doing. Let us never give room to our enemies to come in and cause problems where there are none.
Gradually, Ebonyi is coming up and the unnecessary mockery from some of our insensible brothers will cease.
