SojWORLDWIDE: GUNMEN are on rampage in Imo State and the Southeast killing and maiming innocent Nigerians in order to prevent the 2023 elections from being a success story.
In the video that went viral on social media, some faceless gunmen ambushed a car with the APC banner destroyed it while brandishing their guns daring anyone to challenge them.
A bloodthirsty man among the gunmen was heard saying, "Thunder fire APC, anybody who worked with Nigerian government must die."
Our correspondent saw a video footage where two young men were lying in the pool of their blood at Umuna.
An eyewitness said, ” They just killed these two men now at Umuna. This act was carried out by gunmen enforcing sit-at-home. This just happened now now. We are now afraid.”
Gunmen had also in the afternoon of Friday killed Prince Chidi Iheme, elder brother to Nollywood actor, Osita Iheme, popularly known as Pawpaw.
Iheme was killed at Ubomiri in the Mbaitoli LGA of the state while allegedly on transit to a campaign rally being organised by the All Progressives Congress candidate for Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency, Akarachi Amadi.
The State Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Martin Eke, whom he was riding in the same vehicle with, was badly injured with machete.
Meanwhile, Akarachi has condemned the killing of Iheme, whom he described as one of his supporters.
The politician in a statement issued by his Media Aide, Darlington Irobi, on Friday night, also condemned the attack on the commissioner.
While commiserating with the family of the deceased, the politician prayed for the quick recovery of the injured commissioner.
The statement read, “It is with deepest knowledge of regrets, sense of personal loss and concern we write to condemn the ugly incident that occurred today at Amawuihe Autonomous community in Mbaitoli Local Government Area.
“The information of the sporadic shooting at Amawuihe Ubomiri in Mbaitoli Local Government Area that claimed the life of an APC strong supporter, Prince Chidi Iheme, while we were at Egbeada Community canvassing for votes, is quite regrettable.
“We also decry the deadly attack on the State Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Martin Eke, who was riding in the same vehicle with Prince Iheme.
“While condemning the act, we deeply sympathise with the Iheme family of the Amawuihe Autonomous Community and ask God to show them the mercy of comfort to bear this irreparable loss.
“We also wish Hon Eke speedy recovery as we will do everything possible to assist him comeback to his feet as quickly as possible. It will be recalled that many INEC offices have been set ablaze and properties worth millions of Naira destroyed.

Obi, who made this assertion while in an interview with Channels Television, stated that IPOB members live around him and do not constitute a threat to the country.

A trending video has shown the moment a group of girls tortured their friend for allegedly stealing a phone belonging to one of them.
The accused girl was stripped completely and tortured by the girls and at least a man.
One of the girls torturing the alleged thief can be heard telling others that she even took her to her family and introduced her as her friend.
At some point, they ask her to open her legs and beat her pubic region with slippers.

When the beating becomes too much, she can be seen gasping for breath, but one of the ladies says they will pour water on her and resuscitate her if she faints.

Interestingly, the tide of public opinion is against the accusers, as many viewers commented that they should have just handed her over to the police instead of treating her so inhumanely.

Nigerian singer, Brymo Olawale Ashimi, better known as Brymo, has blasted music legend, Innocent Tuface Idibia, in continuation of their feud.
Brymo in a tweet from his official handle told Tuface to stay at home or start a farm as his reign is over.
He tweeted:
“Bros!!.. your reign is over, stay at home!!.. start a farm. Na music we dey do for here, no be godfather we dey form!”
The feud between the two musicians started when Brymo in a lengthy tweet on Monday alleged that Tuface falsely accused him of sleeping with his wife, Annie.
Brymo also alleged that Tuface sent thugs to beat him up.
In his response, Tuface demanded an apology from Brymo, threatening him with a lawsuit if he failed to apologise.
Tuface, in a letter by his lawyers, gave Brymo 48 hours to tender an unreserved public apology or face a N1 billion defamation suit.
