At the parley, Dr. Edet, said that the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration is committed to making life easy and meaningful for the people, hence the Governor's commendable efforts towards making the state food sufficient.
She said Government has been touched by the plight of the populace brought about by the slight increment in the price of Garri and other food commodities and has swung into action to ameliorate the unsavory situation.

Residents of Isuaniocha community, in the Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State on Saturday night fled the area following alleged influx of people suspected to be Fulani .
A source said the locals saw a truck loaded with Fulani men in the community.
Consequently, "The President General of the community, Frank Okpume, issued a statement purporting that the vehicle zoomed off immediately after dropping the suspected strange elements.
He enjoined residents to be careful and vigilant.
A resident of the area who preferred anonimity, said ,"The entire community is thrown into confusion as people are jittery. Many hurriedly left the area for neighbouring communities.
"Last night was one of the longest nights I have ever had . The message came in very late around 11.30pm about alleged armed Fulani men, who were brought into a forest in Isuaniocha.
"It was vigil last night for everyone resident in Isuaniocha and nearby Mgbakwu, where I live. As I speak, many families have moved to Awka, abandoning their homes.
" I join the President General to call on the government to investigate this matter to prevent any attack on the people, as is being feared. Urgent step needs to be taken "
Reacting, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ikenga Tochukwu, confirmed the incident.
He said the command had deployed a police team to area, calling on residents to remain calm.
He said, "The command has since deployed a police team on the receiving of the information. The area is calm.
"We urge the good people of Anambra especially those in the area not to panic but work with the police and other security agencies in identifying the bad elements among them."

The world was suddenly jolted by the spread of an unknown virus later coded the Corona virus. It was a moment of despair, confusion and a total shift in lifestyle.
Social distancing, nose masking and hand washing became the new normal.
Everything became virtual as Lockdown was enforced.
It was a period of total chaos as the deadly yet invisible virus spread very fast. It moved from invisibility to invincibility as scientists in the organized world headed for the kill.

The Police has been marked for elimination and the war rages even though there are no clear rival groups. It is Anarchy and the authorities are overwhelmed.
The End SARS protest was the test run of the weakening of the Police Force and it worked.
This chaos may actually not be the end of a corporate Nigeria but it will set the tone for the change we may not have asked for, but the one we definitely need!

It was reported that armed men suspected to be robbers invaded the residences of two senior aides to President Muhammadu Buhari inside the precinct of the Presidential Villa, administration officials, and security sources were on record saying that the rising insecurity across the country was drawing closer to the elite than previously estimated.
The incident on May 9, prompted Ibrahim Gambari and Abubakar Maikano, the chief of staff and admin officer, respectively, to abandon their residences, a source said.
Happened: A man, whose identity could not be ascertained as of press time, was on Monday set ablaze at the Nkpor junction in the Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
It was gathered that the suspect snatched a handkerchief from a victim and bolted away, thinking that it was money.
A source said, “The deceased, in company with his gang members, was at the junction robbing passers-by of their valuables[color=#000000].[/color]
“The deceased stole a handkerchief from a victim’s pocket and took off with his gang members ,thinking it was money
“The victim raised the alarm, which attracted sympathisers, who immediately mobilised and pursued them.
“One of them was apprehended, while the others escaped. The apprehended robber was beaten to a pulp and asked to identify or disclose the whereabouts of his fleeing accomplices, but he refused and was set ablaze.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Ikenga Tochukwu, confirmed the incident.
