3. The crowd was not reacting when the speaker was speaking Igbo. They only react when he turns to English, which clearly points to the fact that the crowd was not made up of Igbos

4. The speaker also made a huge blunder that indicates his northern origin. Go to 2:56 No Igbo dialect will ever say it that way, with the Hausa effect that was used at that particular point. Not the Nris, not the Ikwerres, not the Waawas, not the Aros, not the Aniomas e.t.c.

Having said the above, my sympathies still lie with the Shiites in this their current dark hour. I am a core Igboman so my sense of justice cannot be blurred.

The family of a musician, Chinedu Obi, aka Zinquest, has been thrown into mourning after the personnel of the Ogun State Police Command shot him in the Sango area of the state.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Obi, whom the police personnel accosted for having tattoos on his body, was protesting his arrest when the men of the Sango Area Command gunned him down on Friday, July 19, 2019.

The musician, who was still alive after being shot, was accused of destroying the windscreens of over 17 vehicles parked on the premises of the area command while protesting his arrest.

Omoni explained that two AK-47 rifles were recovered during the operation.

It takes courage and fear of God to resist certain temptations, especially those that are so enticing. A dancer who could not resist the tempting size of a mad man's dangling penis, reportedly lured him into a private room and gave him the raping of his life.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Friday around 5 p.m. in Chinhoyi area of Zimbabwe where the dancer, identified as Evernice, had gone to perform along with her fellow dancers.

Apparently, she saw the mentally ill man walking naked with his obviously large and long penis dangling in-between his legs, and due to her inability to resist the temptation to imagining herself 'chopping the thing', she surreptitiously lured him into the said private room and had sex with him.

Mashonaland West provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara is reported to have confirmed the arrest of Evernice.

Also confirming the news was president of Dancers Association of Zimbabwe (DAZ), Harpers Mapimhidze who condemned the dancer's conduct.

"We condemn and don't tolerate such behaviour by a dancer and we don't expect this in the future." "She took advantage of the man's condition to quench her appetite," Mapimhidze is quoted as saying.

Gistreel.com quoted a source close the incident as saying: "It was on Friday last week around 5pm when the man was making some funny moves. He was exposing his privates and he has a big private organ which Evernice got attracted to and she then got interested to get close to the victim. She then took him to a room where she slept with him."

The unnamed source added: "After she finished having sex with him, he told people that he had had sex with the accused. A counselor was quickly called before police also came to the scene and took her to the cells."

"She was on stage, and she was advised to run away since she had committed an offence by sleeping with a person who is not well."

"She refused to run away saying that he was the one who had slept with her."

Reports say Evernice has been charged by the Zimbabwean police, it is not clear what the charges are.

The police need to answer a lot of questions as to why they killed the teenage boys in Benin City accused of stealing a Venza car.

The Inspector General of police should Take up this case and probe the unprofessional manner at which the operation was carried out by his boys.

1. The news reported that one of the boys died in the police station. A boy that has been apprehended and doesn't pose any threat to them. Why didn't the police take him to the hospital. Handcuffs him and later take him to court. But instead they allow the poor boy to bleed to death.

Nigerian Union in South Africa (NUSA) has alleged that a Nigerian teenager has been shot dead in South Africa, Igbere TV reports.

This comes after the Deputy Director-General of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Obianuju Ndubuisi-Chukwu, was reportedly strangled in her hotel room in South Africa on June 13.

NUSA President, Adetola Olubajo, said on Monday that the victim, Chinonso Obiaju, 17, a high school student, was killed in Johannesburg on Saturday.

He said the deceased student lived in Roodepoort, Johannesburg with his guardian.

Mr Olubajo told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on telephone that his guardian, Mike Nsofor, said he was shot at about 6:30 pm.

“He went to buy from a shop with his friend and someone chased and opened fire on them, killing him,’’ Olubajo quoted the guardian saying.

He added that the family would be burying him in South Africa and that the union’s leaders in Johannesburg would be contacting him on developments.

Olubajo said they were going to the police on Monday to finalise on the registry and provision of his papers.

“He was born here I learnt and the Mother is in the U.S. I have spoken to Mike Nsofor to pass the Nigerian community’s condolences and call for justice to be served in this case as anybody who hunts down a young schoolboy couldn’t have any justifiable reasons,’’ Olubajo said.

He implored the Federal Government to urgently protect Nigerians in the Diaspora.

The 34 years old single dad was employed as a factory staff, but later he decided it was better he quit the job to take care of his 3 kids. When Phillip Herron quit his factory job, he began taking loans from numerous loan companies, even took payday loans.

Phillip took loans to pay rents, feed his kids, cloth and give them a comfortable life.

He only realized the mess he’s into when he discovered he has taken loans summing up to £20,000 (Approximately #10 Million Naira) and he was to pay 1,000 per cent interest. Coupled with the fact that he had a very big debt to pay, he was served an eviction notice, too.

When he thought about what life has thrown at him so far, he decided that the best decision was to take his own life so that he can leave those debts unpaid.

When the news of his death got to him 54 years old mum Sheena Derbyshire, she was shocked and revealed that she was never aware of her son’s financial predicaments neither was she aware of those loans he took before his demise.

“In his suicide note, he said his family would be better off if he wasn’t there anymore.

“He was a single dad. He was responsible. He always had money before and the kids had the best of everything.”


The Department for Work and Pensions spokesman also released a statement which goes as thus;

“Our thoughts are with Mr Herron’s family.

“Suicide is a very complex issue, so it would be wrong to link it solely to someone’s benefit claim. We are committed to safeguarding vulnerable claimants and keep guidance under constant review to provide the highest standard of protection.”

This is so sad but will keep on happening because we live in a country where we realy do not have laws and severe punishment against such act.this can only stop when our law makers come out with laws and harsh punishment against such acts not just to protect civilians but to also protect uniformed persons.but unfortunately the so called law makers are apparently the ones using this uniformed persons to threaten,harass civilians.the one we see everyday is the harassment from the police.if u ask me I think the best punishment for a police officer that harass a civilian is to send him to the fronline to face boko haram.believe,any coward civilian harassing police officer will immediately resign rather than facing boko haram.they show their power where civilians are but deep down inside,they are cowards and they know.

My Dad indeed is an intelligent creature, filled with hope; optimistic. But our Dear Country, Nigeria, has scattered such hopes into pieces.

His basic education was in Switzerland (first class), returned home and was employed as a teacher in the 1980's. During his teaching days, he got a Ph.D scholarship in Switzerland, graduating with First Class. He returned home to continue his teaching profession.

In the early 1990's, his certificate arrived Nigeria from Switzerland, including cash award/reward for Best Graduating student. He received a call from Rivers State Government to pick up his certificate. He couldn't believe that those in authority has made away the cash reward sent from Switzerland, offering him only his Ph.D certificate.

He made commendable efforts to retrieve the cash award/reward for his hard work but it almost lead to his assassination. His name was unduly removed from Monthly Salary Payroll of Rivers State Government. This brought untold hardship, he lost track of his family and only child, including his health, as this has greatly affected him.

This is 28yrs, he's still fighting for this cash award/reward. All efforts to talk him out by family and friends has yielded no positive results.

How can reunite my family again?
What can be done to assist my father, recognizing that I can't talk him out as the only child?

Please Nairalanders, I need your meaningful suggestion, solutions, advice, contributions.

A man who was admitted at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), has committed suicide.

The incident was said to have occurred last Saturday at the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Ward.

Witnesses said the man stabbed himself to death with a broken louvre beside his bed while waiting for doctors to attend to him.

A witness, who said he was also admitted at the hospital, added that the deceased came to the hospital with his wife.

“The man suddenly became wild, broke a louvre beside his window and stabbed himself to death,” he said.



“His wife was not around. She went out to buy something. There was blood everywhere. We were lucky not to have been injured.

A man, Johnson Taiwo, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he allegedly spent the sum of N360, 000 mistakenly paid into his bank account.

The incident happened at Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos, where he resides and where he received the alert from the bank.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that one Chukwunonso Egbuka wanted to make payment into another person’s bank account over an undisclosed business transaction but mistakenly paid the said money into Johnson Taiwo’s Access Bank account with number 0094684537 and the bank credited the money to him.
