Reflect7:
SHUT UP. HE IS SAYING THE TRUTH. Oyinbo asss licker.

The British ruled for 80 years, exporting our resources, and at the end we did not have a single power plant or university or expressway or industry.

Kainji dam was our first power plant, commissioned by the Balewa administration in 1964.

Prior to that the British merely imported a few industrial generators to power the GRAs they were living in, while the rest of Nigeria used lanterns and candles.

Nigeria was a near total bush in 1960 at independence with mass illiteracy and malnutrition.

What did your 'perfect white man' do with the trillions he made from our exports in 80 years?

You are VERY LUCKY we gained independence in 1960 which led to mass education investment by the black govts.

Or else by now you would be hunting cockroaches and tapping palm wine in the bush like your illiterate grandpa did under colonial rule.
who is plundering our resources now?

China will defeat US.
The reason why China will defeat USA is simple. USA designed herself to be the best while China designed herself since the past decades to beat US. All their Ammunitions are designed for specific US arsenal. None is a general machine. Each is an anti-specific US machine.

Family › Re: Men That Their Wives Are The Breadwinners; How Do You Cope? by loswhite(m): 6:01am On Sep 26, 2021
reel14:
Hello Nairalanders. I got married late last year.
Even though I got married late, I made sure I was gainfully employed before taking the giant stride.

I love my wife and she loves me too. I carry 98 % of the home responsibility, recently, because things are on the high side and my wife is working as well, I told her to be taking care of filling the gas while I handle other bills.
I have observed that anytime I go near the gas maybe to make food or boil water, she will remind how expensive gas is right now, after all, if it finishes, I won't give money to fill. These words hurt me alot as this is the only thing you do for us in this house. I know how much I pay for rent, DSTV etc with other utility bills.

My thoughts now are;
How do men which their wives are feeding them cope with insults and embarrassments that come with every meal?

How do unemployed/underemployed men cope?

What if anything happens with my job, will I be able to stay in a verbal abusive home?
How do you know she loves you? The truth is majority of Nigerian men use money to purchase respect in their home. The success of a family is dependent on the husband and wife. The both of you should normally plan your resources together but in most cases we hear I am the man I carry all the load on the family...smh.
The truth is we start relationship the wrong way in this country and the later we come out to complain. My advice is either you call her and talk to her or you continue to carry your 98% so she can continue to respect you, then pray you don't loose your job.
It is sad that most men only earn respect from their wives because they are the bread winner.

how does insecurity affect the country's currency value

doesn't nigeria export oil among other things?
Insecurity leads to capital flight. It is extremely difficult to do business in Nigeria, for instance you provide your own Electricity and you also have multiple levels of taxes not to talk of useless youth development levy and other forms of extortion.

The problem of Nigeria is ethnic sentiment...smh. Do you know think the present rate is a reflection of the value of the Naira? Do you think it is right for CBN to be selling USD at 395 400 to BDC and then they sell it for 500 naira? He was right to stop it in the first place but trust the useless Citizens they criticize with zero understanding and now the BDC are fighting back enhanced by influencers (Aboki FX) The greatest problem of this country is the Citizens.

They are still beating about the bush, if the country have good production output and well structured policy, naturally dollar will come down.
you want everybody to go to bank to purchase dollars but still want small business owners to get different documentation just to buy small machinery (less than 2000 USD) from outside.
The problem is if you Give room to buy without documentation most Nigerians will still go and buy just to sell at the black market...lol. Why is documentation a problem for Nigerian citizens? Why is it difficult for the average Nigerian to do things orderly?
