1. Don’t call someone more than twice continuously. If they don’t pick up your call, presume they have something important to attend to;
2. Return money that you have borrowed even before the person that borrowed you remember or ask for it. It shows your integrity and character. Same goes with umbrellas, pens and lunch boxes.
3. Never order the expensive dish on the menu when someone is giving you a lunch/dinner.
4. Don’t ask awkward questions like ‘Oh so you aren’t married yet?’ Or ‘Don’t you have kids’ or ‘Why didn’t you buy a house?’ Or why don't you buy a car? For God’s sake it isn’t your problem;
5. Always open the door for the person coming behind you. It doesn’t matter if it is a guy or a girl, senior or junior. You don’t grow small by treating someone well in public;
6. If you take a taxi with a friend and he/she pays now, try paying next time;
7. Respect different shades of opinions. Remember what's 6 to you will appear 9 to someone facing you. Besides, second opinion is good for an alternative;
8. Never interrupt people talking. Allow them to pour it out. As they say, hear them all and filter them all;
9. If you tease someone, and they don’t seem to enjoy it, stop it and never do it again. It encourages one to do more and it shows how appreciative you're;
10. Say “thank you” when someone is helping you.
11. Praise publicly. Criticize privately;
12. There’s almost never a reason to comment on someone’s weight. Just say, “You look fantastic.” If they want to talk about losing weight, they will;
13. When someone shows you a photo on their phone, don’t swipe left or right. You never know what’s next;
14. If a colleague tells you they have a doctors' appointment, don’t ask what it’s for, just say "I hope you’re okay". Don’t put them in the uncomfortable position of having to tell you their personal illness. If they want you to know, they'll do so without your inquisitiveness;
15. Treat the cleaner with the same respect as the CEO. Nobody is impressed at how rude you can treat someone below you but people will notice if you treat them with respect;
16. If a person is speaking directly to you, staring at your phone is rude;
17. Never give advice until you’re asked;
18. When meeting someone after a long time, unless they want to talk about it, don’t ask them their age and salary;
19. Mind your business unless anything involves you directly - just stay out of it;
20. Remove your sunglasses if you are talking to anyone in the street. It is a sign of respect. Moreso, eye contact is as important as your speech; and
21. Never talk about your riches in the midst of the poor. Similarly, don't talk about your children in the midst of the barren.
22. After reading a good message try to say "Thanks for the message".
APPRECIATION remains the easiest way of getting what you don't have.

Onedayoneday: Based on tips, I had to attend an interview today. The information was that if I am shortlisted, I will start work latest first week of March. So I was very happy and ready to do anything to attend the interview.
As an applicant without a kobo, I had to kneel down begging a neighbour before he borrowed me 1k to enable me pay my way. The transport fare to and from was to gulp N400 or more.
My in and out was just the 1k. In fact, my feeding was also inside the 1k - everything. So it was a priceless 1k that every kobo was very important.
Early in the morning, I heard people arguimg over the deadline for new naira notes. People refused to collect the old naira notes.
So I boarded a bus with the N1000 note which I paid to the conductor. My transport fare was N100. When I came down, the conductor gave me new N500 note and two old N200 notes, making it N900. I refused to collect the old N200 notes. He insisted he didnt have new naira notes to change for me. Argument ensued as I refused to collect the old notes.
Like I said, that was the only money with me. So I didnt want to take any chances of collecting old notes that I will later not be able to use. So in the midst of the argument, he wanted to move and leave, I tried to stop him by gently holding his t-shirt. I didnt know his polo shirt was that soft. Unluckily for me, the polo got torn.
That was how war was declared. The conductor and the driver descended on me. They first targeted at tearing my shirt too despite showing remorsefulness over getting his shirt torn. Not once, not twice, they kept tearing my shirt till at some point, I put a resistance. Of course that couldn't be without a fight. I won't lie, those guys dealt with me. Two agbero hands descending on one non-agbero hand. Before people could intervene, they tore my shirt and a part of my trouser, gave me serious bruises, got me so dirty and stopped me from attending the interview.
A Canadian model who is addicted to extreme plastic surgery has left many shocked after she revealed that one of her 10kg breast implants exploded.
Mary Magdalene, who is well known for showcasing her plastic surgery enhancements online - has spent more than $100,000 on surgery over the years and almost died on the operating table several times. Her extensive procedures have also left her with severe back pain, meaning she needs a wheelchair to get around.
In the latest setback, one of her 5000cc implants has now burst, leaving her with an enormous 'uniboob' and a saggy, empty breast next to it.
'My breast implant popped - again,' said the Toronto native, who is scheduled to 'have surgery to take them [both] out next week'.
'I'm going to go back natural in not only my boobs but other parts of my body, too,' she told her 163,000 Instagram followers.
She also revealed during a livestream that it didn't hurt when her implant burst, and she only realised what was happening when she heard a 'pop'. She went on to say that she's going to take out her 38J implants and revert to her natural self.
Mary's massive boobs have gotten her in trouble before.
Last summer she claimed her 22-pound breasts got her booted from a flight from Canada to Dallas for looking too explicit.?
SmartPolician: If this government could lock us up for months during COVID and we didn't protest, I don't know why people are protesting now. These protests are probably sponsored to disrupt the cashless policy.
wisestman: A photograph of the Divisional Police Officer of the Victoria Island Divisional Police Headquarters under the Lagos State Police Command, Taiwo Adewunmi Oyewale, has set the social media abuzz.
The photograph, by a Twitter user, simply said: See who will arrest you if you commit a crime in Victoria Island.
Oyewale, a Chief Superintendent of Police, who had before she was moved to Victoria Island Divisional Headquarters with office at the Bar Beach area, served as the DPO for Area ‘F’ in Ikeja, Lagos State, comes highly recommended by her colleagues and the public.
For instance, prominent Nollywood actor, Kate Henshaw, had praised her without stating the exact reason for it.
Henshaw, the spokesperson of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, wrote on her Twitter handle: “Thank you CSP Taiwo Oyewale.
“Thank you for caring.
“It’s refreshing to see
“God bless you.”
As the DPO of Area ‘F’ in Ikeja, another Twitter user said she got rid of drug addicts and sellers “in effort to return Ikeja to a more peaceful place to stay”.
More recently, she received praise for her handling of detainees under her as the DPO in charge of Bar Beach.
This is considering the fact that over the years, detainees had the inhumane torture, abuse and deprivation of basic needs they are subjected to.
This was why the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, praised her commendable strides while retweeting a post made by a justice watch organisation, Citizens Gavel.
Hundeyin tweeted: “We will continue to do better.
“We are all proud of CSP Taiwo Oyewale, DPO Victoria Island Diviison, for her commendable strides.”
According to Citizens Gavel, the organisation in collaboration with the Nigeria Bar Association, Legal Aid Council and other sister organisations paid an unscheduled visit to the Bar Beach Police Station, Victoria Island Division.
In the course of the visitation and interview with the suspects detained at the Police Station, they observed that the officers complied with section 34 (1)(a) of the CFRN 1999 (as amended) as suspects confirmed to them that they were neither tortured nor subjected to inhumane or degrading treatment.
It was learnt that relatives of suspects were also notified and legal representatives were provided.
Suspects were also allowed to speak with their relatives or other persons of choice in compliance with section 35(2)(a) of the Police Act, 2020.
The post stated that the organisation obtained the promise of the police that the suspects would be granted administrative bail before the expiration of 24 hours in compliance with section 35 of the CFRN 1999 (as amended).
The organisation gave kudos to the good officers at the Bar Beach Police station,Victoria Island Division and implored them to keep up the great work.
