What a waste of time! People make alot of mistakes when they don't know the History of The Holy Roman Catholic Church. Now know this, "PROTEST" has "NEVER" solved any problem in the Catholic Church, the "PROTESTANTS" know this more than many catholics do. If you doubt me, go and ask the people of Benin what they achived after protesting, when Most Rev Dr Augustine Akubeze was appointed the Archbishop of Benin Archdioces. They gained ABSOLUTLY NOTHING. The Holy Roman Catholic Church is The UNIVERSAL Church and The MOST ORGANISED INSTITUTION on Earth. If you doubt that just google it. This has nothing to do with politics, besides it is The Catholic Bishops Confrence of Nigeria [CBCN] that makes the recomendations and not Cardinal Arinze and before anybody is appointed out of those recomended a proper accessment of the person's virtue and credibility is done by The Holy See and noelse, with this, the best person ends up being appointed. This is not like the so called "free and fair" election we conduct here in Nigeria. Also ethnicity has no business in the Catholic Church, that is the reason why Most Rev Dr Ignatus Kaigama who is not from Plateau State is the Archbishop of Jos, Most Rev Dr Jude Okolo a Nigerian (from Anambra State) is an Archbishop in Mali aswell as the Papal Nuncio of Central Afrian Repoblic and ofcause, his Holiness Pope Benedict XVI [Joseph Ratzinger] from Germany is the Bishop of Rome. Although we were thought about evolution in secondary school science, I still wonder how things that evolved can be so arranged as if designed. What does celibacy have do with the Anglican Church?. Is that the next thing they want to copy from the Roman Catholic Church. I thought that when you find out you are doing the wrong thing, the best thing to do is to abandon it and go for the right one, but these people will remain in the Anglican Church and try to copy as many as they can from the Catholic Church. The main problem of the Anglicans started with their founder "King Henry VII" who wanted to divorse Queen Cathrine of Aragon to marry his mistress Anna Boiyle (the queen's maid). When his request was not granted by the Pope (because Christ condemed it), he broke out from the Church, though not intending to found a new Church, which is exactly what he ended up doing. Now with this bad example from the king, it was just a matter of time, divorse became legal. As if that is not enough England whose monarch is the head of the Anglican Church, became the first to legalise Abortion and the use of Contraception. Now with Contraception alone you have opened the door for a whole range of possibilities. Now if you say that it is right for one to have s.ex while closing all door to procreation, then one can engage in all forms of s.ex that does not lead to procreation. This inclueds homosexuality and beastality, This is the arguement of the gay activists and with that they got the legalization they wanted for gay marriage. The second possibility ie beastality hasn't been legalised simply there is no activists litigating for it and I tell you any day they appear they will still win. This may happen in our life time, it is just a matter of time. |

@anthonypeters, your story of being a catholic for 20years but now a PROTESTANT looks very pathetic but guess what, we have had worse cases. Do you know King Henry VIII of England, he was once "A Defender of Catholic Faith" ie a Catholic Knight. Do you know the Bloody Atheist Joseph Stalin, he was an Ex-Seminarian. Do you know Matine Luther, he was once a Catholic Augustinian Monk. Do you know the Heretic Gordiano Bruno, he was a Catholic Priest. Do you know the Arch-ArianHeretic Nosterius, he was an Arch-bishop of Constantinople, the present day Istanbulg. Do you know Cardinal Robert of Geneva, he was a "Pope" (anti-pope). Do yo know Judas Ischariot, he was an Apostle of Jesus. Now know this, It does't matter how many years you are in Catholic faith, what matters is your understanding of The True Catholic Faith. Someone can be in the Catholic Church for 30years, 40, 50years and still remain a fake Christian. The worst part of it is that these people out of PRIDE, thinking they know everthing about The True Catholic Faith, don't ask questions on things they don't understand about the Catholic Church and finally when they leave the Catholic Church, they claim they have seen the "Light" when in the real sense they have plunged into DARKNESS. I can bet my life savings that you did not meet your Parish Priest for questions and clearifications on your doubts before you left the Catholic Church. Let me tell you why this happened. lts because you have been a Catholic for 20years and you think you know everything about Catholicism therefore you poor Parish Priest has nothing to add to your knowledge. Now to show you that you didn't understand anything about The True Catholic Faith in the 20years you wasted as a Catholic, can you with all SINCERITY answer just YES or NO to the following questions. [1] In your 20years of being a catholic did you ever worship any person other than God? I mean did you ever WORSHIP Mary?. [2] Did any Catholic Priest teach you to WORSHIP Mary instead of God?. [3] All the Catholics you know including your Parents, Siblings and the 90% of your community, are they worshiping any person other than God? @Op.This is a very nice one but its obvious Some people here are not saying the truth. Actually almost everyone got Denmark Kangaro and Orange, but when some ungreatful Nairalander saw the answer, instead of thanking and congratulating the OP, they went back to reconstruct and manipulate thereby coming out with animals like Kiwi and Kingfish instead of the common Kangaro. By the way how many of you manipulators have actually seen a Kiwi, even on television, if not for the one you saw on "KIWI" Polish. |

Now know this, Igbo Language is a Dynamic Language, when new things come up, Professors in Igbo Linguistics bring out new coinages for them and when they do, who are you to say that they are "wrong"?. Just the way The "IFEJIOKU" Festival in Igbo Land was coined into The "NEW YAM" Festival by English Linguists and you don't say they are wrong, so do we have Igbo words for most of the new inventions of the last century like Aeroplane, Microphone, Bomb, Jeep, Smart Phone, Internet, Computer Etc. It pains me alot to see fellow Catholics who didn't Understand the TRUE FAITH that was handed on to them, but instead of them to do the honourable thing of meeting their priest or any catholic faithful for questions and clearifications or make research themselves, they move straight to NairaLand Religious Section to creat threads and make blasphamous statements like the one above, that confession is not biblical but was made up by powerful men so that they can know what their subjects are doing. For you information Jesus Christ Himself instituted the Sacrament of Penance or Reconciliation or Confession [Jn20:21-23]. After the resurrection, Jesus clearly gave His apostles, mere mortals, the authority to forgive sins saying, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone his sins they are forgiven, if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven". Was it not as a result of this authority that the apostle Paul could tell the leaders (prisbesters ie PRISTS) of the church at Corinth [2Cor.2:10] "If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven, if there is anything to forgive-I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake" Now who was Paul to have been qualified to forgive sins on behalf of Christ.. Why not ask yourself how could these people (Apostles and Prisbesters) have forgiven sins unless they have known about them through Confession. Good students ask questions when the don't understand and when they do, clearifications are made and the student learn, on the other hand bad students don't ask questions when they don't understand rather they PROTEST and complain that their teacher is fake and worse, they are too lazy to read and that is why they don't learn anything. Please stop you PROTEST and BLASPHAMY and do the right thing. In case you need more biblical passages that supports confession or men forgiving sins read the following James5:15-16, Acts19:18-19, Matthew3:5-6, Matthew9:8. That is only if you have not thrown away your BIBLE. |

The total estimate of people murdered under Stalins reign, ranges from 20million to 60million. This is what happens when an ANTHEIST gets into power an consider other as decendants of Apes.
