Good day everyone...i have asking of how to book appointment, I got a lot of response, thanks everyone for d response , I decided to go to Tls contact at Ikeja to find out what is going on, d response is that dates are not available for now until October, even walk in is not sure, there were about a hundred people yesterday for walk in but they were declined, asked to come today, they came today, only 14 people were taken in, from there explanation, they ain't sure when next to accept walk in, so appointment is a very serious issue now at Ikeja centre, someone suggested that I should go to Abuja, my advice is if u have not chosen Ikeja yet, better choose another centre..as I was leaving, some guys there were asking me to allow them book appointment for me 4 a fee, I asked them How, they said it's an insider thing..i think there is a big issue there, meanwhile they now open on Tuesdays and Thursdays.. I hope this is helpful to someone...

What is the essence of asking people to submit applications when appointment dates won't be available? If care is not taken, one won't be able to get appointment date if one is not connected or heavily loaded. These things are happening because we are too gentle in this part of the world. Ordinarily, getting appointment date shouldn't be an issue. But now, people are having sleepless nights because of it.

Are you people sure that the UKVI are even attending to people's visa application? Who has or knows someone that knows someone who got a visa decision made?

Someone posted on twitter that he submitted his application in March before the lockdown and that they contacted him last week for passport collection.

There's no update of replacement vignette for visitors visa yet. Its just for work, study and joining family for now. Maybe you should contact UKVI directly

Yes, I submitted today for vignette replacement in Lagos. Also they're accepting new applications.

Are they currently accepting passports from those whose 6 months visitor visa expired as well or just from those with expired 30 days vignette?

Thanks for your response. Though my budget is £650 and my salary is 200k but my monthly living expenses is 32k. My friend is hosting me though. So did you mean I should state the new arrival and departure dates to be 10 days? So I can also do flight reservation for 10 days.

I expect you to do that. Great minds in the house should throw more light on whether or not this self - isolation period will be included in trip duration and the cost on trip budget.

Good afternoon great people. Please I want to reschedule my appointment. In my form I stated that am spending 10days in the UK during part of my 2020 annual leave but I couldn't have my leave again due to the pandemic. I want to know if I should include in my cover letter that I am spending like 24 days now due to new covid 19 self isolation rule which state that we need to self isolate for the first 14 days and the remaining 10 days Will be for my normal tour/visit. Though I won't spend up to that anyway because I need to come back to work. Should I also state a new departure and arrival dates in my cover letter because am planning to go now in November? Thanks

Adding the 2 weeks self - isolation cost to your budget might lead to you spending more than twice your monthly disposable income on this trip. I think you should state just 10 days. The self - isolation rule might not be in place by the time you will be travelling.

My dear, the 30 days visa is an entry clearance permit that enables you to land in UK before you can collect your BRP. Its validity is 30 days after which it expires. If you're unable to land within that period, you get a replacement.

How can one apply for such visa?

Yes, for biometric and that's if the whole family is travelling.

Always better to apply for 2 years after previously travelling to the UK on the 6 month visa. This allows you to show history of travelling to and returning from the UK before you apply for the longer duration visas except you have a valid reason to travel frequently to the UK (i.e. visiting your child who schools in the UK)

People get 2 or 5 years visa without travel history.
