Properties / Re: Terazo Or Tile, What Would You Recomend by luckyme9(f): 6:42am On Jul 27, 2008
Thanks guys, based on the little research I did when I was in Lagos, Both terazo and tiles are going to cost about the same amount. Talk about the Mable Tiles, I saw them somewhere in the hotel, I think that can work for me in the front rooms and the master bedroom and step it down a little bit in the rest of the house "you know what I mean"

Thanks everyone, Chidi,

Thats exactly what I'm looking for. as for alaba, it's very hard to find the original stuff there, for my electrical parts, I went to someone I knew way back then, he still gave all fake wires. Makes me scare. May be I will give it a second chance because they sure have affordable stuff. Thanks

DON'T DO IT.  Better safe than sorry, I've had a sickle cell child before.  The two and a half years she lived was the worst experience of my life. i was only 20 at that time, I went to mercy hospital every other night, buy blood from different Chemist of Lagos Island, Traveled all over Lagos trying to find cure. Went to Churches up and down, not to talk about spending all the money I never had. And she died on top of it.  I even took care of a sickle cell patient for three years, and she died at the age of 33 in the US.  There is NO cure for it.  It is too painful to go through, for you, your wife and the child. My suggestion to you is to find out before you go too far in your relationship.its okay to adopt but personaly i don't like it because u have a better choice.  Test more than once, because they have told me I was AA three years after I had a sickle cell child.  You might think it's a big deal now, but it's realy not, it will be a bigger deal after just one SS child, and your wife can't cope with it. You should be glad that you know, because I didn't and It was very costly." not money wise"Good luck.  This is actualy a reminder for me to start talking to my girls about it.

Agriculture / Re: Poultry Farming by luckyme9(f): 4:57am On Jul 17, 2008
Hey, it depends on when and how much cash you have on hand. If you are abroad and planning for the future, I'll suggest you start sending home some nice poultry equipments that you can get from different auctions and wesites. Buy your land in some remote but accessible area, buy about an acre which is about six plot. Start fencing it. Get your layout of where you want to start now and leave room for expasion in the future. Start with what ever type of chiken have longer life and can yield you most eggs. If you are home or abroad, you can always research on the internet. There always an e-course on almost any type of business you can imagine, if you are abroad, you might have a better chance of getting one of those and pay with a credit or check card. They always have 1-800 numbers to call for follow up.
Don't wonder, I'm also looking into this business and these is all I've found out so far.
If you leave me your info, I can foward you more as I explore more. Cheers
Family / Re: How Necessary Is Marriage? by luckyme9(f): 5:49am On Jul 16, 2008
I disagree with Aladunni's perspective of flies at the window. Your marriage is what you make it. It lies in both hands "husband and wife". To have a happy marriage my sister, you have to be very very patient and ditermined to start with. I am a woman and I believe that women will have to give more to have a successfull marriage. Endurance, respect, honesty, dedication, hard work and to know when to ignore some things helps a long way. You have to be deterined that your marriage is not a TRY OUT. As some people say. I can keep going ,

Properties / Re: Sub-standard Building Material:"The Looming Danger" by luckyme9(f): 5:40am On Jul 14, 2008
Erico2k2, What are you talking about, the workers /supplies and building material sellers makes life difficult when you are building in nigeria. If you don't know about building material and so on, forget it. Even when I had my samples that I showed the sellers, they still try to bring me something different. Or when you have just paid so much for better quality roofing sheet, and they supply you only 20 of the quality you paid for and 480 of different quality undernith
