My people, there's been so much verbal wars, insults, accusations & the like between the political parties PDP & (soon to be) APC, especially after ACN's recent national congress.
This thread is just a feel of what Nigerians think of the 2 parties. Please vote appropriately below. |

blink182: so the stewpid phuck can't take a week out and resolve this himself, instead he is putting corrupt scavengers in charge that will turn the whole thing upside down.
If Jonathan was really a man that had nigerians at heart, this should be his most important work. Its even a mess he created and yet he's having such a hard time fixing it. All he does is nothing. What a waste. He should be ashamed of himself. Sorry, Jonathan doesn't need to be ashamed of himself. It's Nigerians who should, for making this lunatic their president. The frustrating part is that if he contests again in 2015, he'll likely win. So don't you think Nigerians deserve him? It's such a shame! |

lestat: ... But personally I prefer gaming on a pc as I can run all the latest games on highest, I rigged up a HP workstation wx4600 Core2Quad 2.5, 4 gig ram, Custom power Crossair xh620 watts to power my Nvidia 8800xh GPU, 1 terabyte HDD, windows8 professional x64, all for less than 150k and believe me this baby rocks what she can do u cant get any laptop for 200k that can do what she can do, the fact is she is more powerful than 2 ps3 consoles connected serially. There's no doubt desktops are better in terms of raw power but power (electricity) issue is the main snag if you live in Nigeria. Laptops have the advantage of mobility too. |

Politics › Re: Presidency Intensifies Efforts To Discredit Ribadu Report. by lukkie(m): 7:06pm On Nov 11, 2012 |
Gbawe: Absolutely correct. I have always said Jonathan is a very dangerous President because he is a very corrupt individual who believes in nothing at all. That combination is dangerous because many have noted this about GEJ to include the most lawless in society. The problem for Nigeria is that we have more than our fair share of fraudsters and get-rich-quick scammers. To then give these people the signal, openly, that they can act with total impunity and without fear of any sanction whatsoever is very dangerous. It is what has led to lawlessness and increasing corruption everywhere currently - and GEJ absolutely does not 'give a damn' either way. Under such a character 419, terrorism, insecurity, infrastructural decay, corruption and misrule will proliferate.
For example, the FG and the NNPC are the only authorities that can issue Marketers licence. Both are headed by GEJ and Allison-Madueke. Under the duo many crooks, without any capacity to deliver, gained Marketers licence. They then, under GEJ's watch, carried out the biggest scam seen in the fuel subsidy sector ever. The next thing is for a very corrupt and callously indifferent President , rather than accept responsibility, to be trying to fool Nigerians with James Bond shenanigans using crooked minions like Otedola. The whole sleazy charade stinks.
As a Nigerian, I am thoroughly ashamed of this Government because it is one thing to be corrupt but another to flaunt it so openly. It is the latter that taints us all as a people. Foreigners looking on will just wonder what manner of Nation Nigeria is and whether we are a morally bankrupt people. Of course they understand that scammers exist everywhere. What they will find difficult to rationalise is the action of the GEJ government that consistently and openly undermine all efforts to tackle corruption. I've copied and saved this excellent analysis for future reference. |

Politics › Re: Presidency Intensifies Efforts To Discredit Ribadu Report. by lukkie(m): 10:22am On Nov 11, 2012 |
werepeLeri: From Ribadu himself on Page 2 of the report:
The report on page two states that: “The data used in this report was presented by various stakeholders who made submission to the Task Force in the course of our assignment at various dates, which have been disclosed in relevant sections of the report. Due to time frame of the assignment, some of the data used could not be independently verified and the Task Force recommends that the Government should conduct such necessary verifications and reconciliations.”
Is this not what government is taking about? Take it or leave it, why is Ribadu passing the job of the committee back to government? The next thing for any sensible govt to do is extend the mandate of the committee so that all unverified data can be verified and the report re-submitted. The style of this govt is to pretend to be fighting corruption when we all know it's not fighting jack. I don't know about you o but I'm not that easily deceived. The handwriting is clear on the wall. At the end of the day, this govt is will leave the oil industry worse than it met it. |
Car Talk › Re: Annoying Things Passengers Do? by lukkie(m): 1:16am On Nov 11, 2012 |
Mustay: Ahan why nau? I just LMFAOed at this
One thing that has been observed is a lack of public etiquettes here - peeps seem to take things for granted and tend to play it down with "na only you do this and that?" etc
For those who litter, please don't eat or drink such stuff if you know you won't dispose the wrappers/containers properly - even the manufacturers beg you and still display an image of 'Dispose Off Properly', 'Keep Nigeria Clean' etc - even for those who can't read, the image of a bin + a (wo)man is there. iHiss It even gets worse when private car owners or passengers throw things outta the window - gross indecency. These are the same people who'll abuse their government for 'this and that' whilst still contributing to more 'these and those'.
Whilst the car owner is the owner of the property, I'd say is a 2-way thing. There are some passengers you don't roll with but it's the radio that kills the 'suspense' but increasing the volume to incredible levels is similarly disrespectful to the occupant except such a person acedes to that or is a 'party rider'.
For a city like Lagos, maybe the 'banging the door' mentality is as a result of the 'rush rush, no suegbe' kinda atmosphere of Lagos - even in public vehicles, you must always be gingered ni shaaaaaa! LOL. I like your flows. |

obadiah777: THIS MAN IS AMAZING. WAS SPEAKING TO MY MUM THE OTHER DAY. SHE SAID LAGOS STATE IS NOW LIKE LONDON. AIRCONDITIONED BUSES FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, TRAFFIC LIGHTS AT NIGHT THAT WORK, PLANTED TREES EVERYWHERE, NO MORE OVERHANGING WIRES, DRAINAGE SYSTEM IS GOOD, LIGHT IS CONSTANT ETC ETC. SHE SAID ITS LIKE LIVING IN LONDON. FASH IS DOING BIG THANGS. AND THOSE OF YOU LAGOSIANS WHO WANT HIM FOR PRESIDENT, THATS A BAD MOVE BECAUSE LAGOS WILL DETERIORATE AGAIN. AS PRESIDENT HE WILL GIVE ALLOCATIONS TO STATES AND WHATEVER THEY DO WITH IT IS UP TO THEM. HE CANT BE HANDS ON AS A PRESIDENT. SO YOU PEOPLE SHOULD BE CLAMORING TO KEEP HIM IN LAGOS INSTEAD OF FOR PRESIDENCY Your mom actually exaggerated it. Lagos is improving but it can't be compared with London yet. The improvement is still mainly at the metropolitan areas, not the suburbs, and you know most Lagosians live in the suburbs. I know the govt would like to do much more, but funds are seriously lacking. I believe we'll get there sha. I wish other states too could develop in the same manner so the population growth of Lagos can slow down. |
