Calling him a TRAINEE PRESIDENT is actually very kind. We all know he's worse than that. |
Go for it man. Stay safe though (however you can achieve that). Peace! |
Hey guys, who's going to watch the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix live in November? I'm interested. |
Muhahahahahahahaha... "My Religion Is Better Than Yours" You guys are slaves of Arabs n Jews. Africans, think! Puhleeez! |
These Middle Easterners should shut up n let the world be in peace. AFAIAC, Israel is equally a terrorist nation. I see no difference btw them n d Arabs. Violence is ingrained in their blood. Ain't they cousins anyway? And u see some f00lish Africans fighting themselves cos of these blood-thirsty tribes. |
Chidi Mokeme was the best. But it looks like he'll want more money than Bob. |
I thought Honda Accord fans would like this. https://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s676/digbolugi/Honda_Accord_zps69a9ca35.jpg |
I beg you, RUN AWAY from that mechanic or else he'll destroy your engine. What do you mean the engine gets hot? A car engine has to get hot before it moves. However, if the thermometer needle regularly goes above the middle of the gauge, take it to a modern workshop where it'll be diagnosed. Overheating may be caused by a number of things such as leaky or blocked radiator, faulty thermostat, water pump, cooling fan etc. Replace whatever is faulty in the engine. I repeat, do not remove the thermostat. The car will start consuming more fuel and it'll ultimately kill the engine. Google "car overheating" to read more. If you are in Ibadan, talk to this man, he should be able to direct you to a good workshop. Tell him you were referred by an AutoClinic radio program listener. 08098738876 |
I have a 2002 & it's good. The engine is powerful, can haul people and luggage without blinking but be prepared to spend lots of money on fuel esp if you can't do without using the AC. It does around 15mpg. It had an overheating problem along the line but i changed the thermostats (it has 2) and the problem was fixed. No major problems in the 1.5yrs I've owned it now. If you must buy it, try and get one with sub-100k miles if possible. As with every car, the higher the mileage, the more the problems that crop up. If you have more specific questions, i may be able to help. |
Sam Milla: I am advicing the Lagos state government to start building more prisons or rather convert MAULAG to a prison. That's in a s.ane society. Nigerians are in.sane. |
akinreals: since u r married, it is not my car again, rather it is our car, u have to talk to your wife, if she agrees then tell her to keep d car key, if she does not agree, just forget about d car to avoid problem. God will still provide another money to buy better car. My 2cents though.Very silly comment. @OP, Ikenna & Somorin have advised you well enough. But do you really need advice though? If you really love that SUV (Toyota Highlander i guess) as much as you say, you would have stopped this long ago. Please stand your feet before that guy destroys that car or worse still, kills someone with it. Besides, under the new Lagos traffic law, he may put you in trouble. He doesn't have a driver's license and he drives your car around town. |
The "double your recharge" promo is a fraud. Once you opt in, you can't opt out again and then the SIM becomes pretty much useless - it keeps drinking your money like beer. Do not say you were not wared! Etisalat is competing with MTN in terms of fraudulent promos now. |
The city looks clean. Oyo state (esp Ibadan) has a lot to learn from them. |
Cop saves driver from 4-wheel stuck at 120kmph on Emirates Rd Police officer risks his life to stop car and save Emirati driver A police officer risked his life when he drove his car at 220kmph in a bid to stop a four-wheel Land Cruiser which suffered from a brake and accelerator breakdown while travelling at 120kmph on Emirates Road, heading towards Ras Al Khaimah. Captain Tareq Al Sharhan, director of the rescue division at RAK police, intercepted the four-wheel and drove in front of it in a bid to slow it down. He then called the driver and asked him to gradually use his handbrakes — a trick that worked and brought the faulty vehicle to a standstill on the sand. Both the Land Cruiser and the 25-year-old driver, Abdullah Al Mullah, emerged unscathed after the night saga that attracted a large police force. Mulla, a government employee, said he was heading for RAK when his car suffered from that fault, prompting him to call police in Ajman and Umm Al Quwain. RAK police units, which were informed about the incident, headed for the road and cleared it from other cars. As Mulla was about to reach the end of Emirates Road near RAK, Captain Sharhan emerged in front of him and tried to bang his car with the Land cruiser to slow it down. He then asked Mulla to use his hand brakes slowly and gradually. “I first tried to use my hand brakes but the car started to move violently right and left. I was scared that it could overturn. “As I headed towards the end of the road, I had no choice but to use the hand brakes,” Mulla said. “With the help of police, I decided to use the hand brakes again as I did not want Captain Sharhan to risk his life for me. “I lifted my hand brakes slowly as I was told and the car finally started to slow down and came to a standstill on the sand off the road. “I was not hurt and the car was also safe, but I suffered from a shock because of the incident as I could not speak for nearly 15 minutes after I stopped the car,” he told Emarat Al Youm daily. http://www.emirates247.com/news/emirates/cop-saves-driver-from-4-wheel-stuck-at-120kmph-on-emirates-rd-2012-08-29-1.473245 |
Callimo: This has shown that nobody here has been to Ladipo even the OP that took these street shots. How can one take pictures of street traders and push it as LADIPO MARKET.Mr LOUDMOUTH, i guess you were blind to the part where i said THIS IS JUST A SMALL SECTION OF THE MARKET. Why not go hire the Mars Curiosity rover & show us images of the secret market? I wonder why some people can't just shut their mouths if they have nothing reasonable to say. |
It's better organised than you think o. Just tell them what you want and they'll direct you to the right stand in seconds. As a precaution though, i never go there without my mechanic. |
I went to the market recently and took these pictures while waiting for the guy to source some parts. Note that this is just a small section of the market. https://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s676/digbolugi/12080008_zpsbafc272a.jpg https://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s676/digbolugi/12080007_zpsd23a9372.jpg https://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s676/digbolugi/12080006_zps87325f19.jpg https://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s676/digbolugi/12080005_zps6ee5d50b.jpg https://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s676/digbolugi/12080004_zps0064c632.jpg https://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s676/digbolugi/12080003_zpsc97b7c3f.jpg https://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s676/digbolugi/12080002_zps21b216c0.jpg https://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s676/digbolugi/12080002_zps21b216c0.jpg |
Meeen, i've eaten it all - Snake, duck, guinea pig, "bush" rat, rabbit, pigeon, crocodile, alligator, tortoise, frog, termites, grass cutter, impala, crab, ant-eater, eel, stingray (YES!). I'll add more as i remember. |
I beg leave Pastor Chris alone o. The (Business)man of God is only advertizing so business can boom. We are in a capitalist economy. |
I think it goes without saying. Yorubas have the belief that the humanity that binds us together is stronger than the artificial barriers of religion, tribe etc which humans have created. Of course there will be occasional exceptions but as they say, exceptions prove the rule. |
binger: Removing my hands frm d steering while speeding on a straight road.even though its bad,i enjoy it so much...try itVery addictive but bad. I've stopped though. |
Marketing 101 = If you don't advertize, the BUSINESS dies. Naija don fall mugu tay-tay. SMH |
What about Tompolo? Why can't Jonathan give him the contract? |
PapaBrowne: Why is Lagos always using interlocking stones to build roads? Is there scarcity of bitumen in the state??It's much cheaper than asphalt roads. |
You know that China is overpopulated. Cars like these were made to reduce their population. Buy at your own risk. |
@OP, if the thermostat is bad, go and replace it - they're cheap. You need professional help for this car, not trial & error. Don't run your car without a thermostat or connect the fan directly, even if your roadside mechanic advises you to. You'll spend more money on fuel in the long run and you're killing the engine. |
LOL @Vic O, the Worst Artiste in the World If you don't think so, search and watch his video on YouTube. |
Looks nice. I read somewhere that it's much lighter cos of the new aluminum body. @OP, these are not leaked pictures at all. They're official images of the car. More here - http://allnewrangerover.landrover.com |
Can you use Glo/MTN/Etisalat network without paying? NO! It's left for the new private owners of PHCN successor companies to deal with it. If they want their investments to go to waste, so be it. This is not even newsworthy. Abeg i have better things to worry about. |
Nigerians, the most religious people in the world, but the most corrupt. |
CeaserB: Religion Is Politics.Thank you. Nigerians are extremely sheepish. |
HNosegbe: Who told Maroon 5 that "marun" is 5 in Yoruba?LOL. Nice one. |
